Part 11 ~ Beautiful Danger

"Uncle Mac, I promise that I won't let Georgie out of my sight," Robin pleaded.

"I just want you to know that I am very uncomfortable with this decision," Mac said as he eyed Patrick and Robin wearily. "Every time Sonny throws a party someone gets shot."

"I've been to Sonny's house dozens of times, and I can assure that it is safe. He has body guards and the best technical security that money can buy," Robin stated.

"Tell that to Kate Howard."

"That's not fair, Uncle Mac. Kate was killed in her own home. Who knows, maybe if she spent the night at Sonny's, she would still be alive," Robin rebutted.

Before Mac could reply, he noticed Georgie walking down the stairs. Georgie's brown hair, secured by small pearl accented combs, flowed freely over her left shoulder and rested softly on the ruffled sleeve of her olive colored dress.  The olive dress hugged her bodice closely, but once the dress hit her waist, it flowed freely to her knees where a ruffled fringe flirted with her every move.

"You look gorgeous," Mac said, still in awe of seeing her.

"Thank you," she whispered softly before turning to Robin.

"Spinelli is going to meet us at Sonny's, so if you're ready we can leave now," Robin announced.

Georgie smiled her reply and walked toward the door.

Taking her cue from Georgie, Robin kissed Mac on the cheek and walked with Georgie to the car. Instead of following them, Patrick stayed back. When they were out of earshot, Patrick turned to Mac to reassure him.

"You know I'm not a big fan of Sonny or Jason, but Robin sees them as friends. Since this is important to her, it is important to me. I can promise you that I will not let either one of them out of my sight. If there is a hint of danger, I'll get them out of that house if I have to drag them out by their hair."

The image of that happening made Mac smile, but he still issued Patrick a warning. "If something happens to my girls, you'll be the first person I'll come after."

"Fair enough," Patrick agreed as he headed out of the house. He had spoken the truth. He planned to stick close to Robin and Georgie. As soon as he spotted danger, he was prepared to do whatever he had to in order to protect his family.

Little did he know that danger was wrapped in an olive dress.
