Part 3 ~ Party Planner

"Finally," Carly shouted as Jason opened the door to his penthouse, "You've been in Port Charles for almost a week and this is the first time I've been able to catch you at home."

Jason shrugged off Carly's hysterics, because he knew how she could be when she wasn't the center of attention. "Liz and I have a lot to do before the wedding, and I've been spending a lot of time with her and the boys."

"See, this is what I mean," Carly wailed. "You're not even married, and Liz is trying to domesticate you already." Stomping her foot like a spoiled little girl, she added, "Wait until you're married. I'll never get to see you." Pouting, she flopped on the couch and turned sorrowful eyes in Jason's direction.

"You're my best friend," he said as he sat down next to her. "You know that. I'll always be here for you. There is nothing that I wouldn't do for you. You know that, right?"

"Do you mean that?" she asked innocently causing the hairs on Jason's neck to rise. Here it comes, he thought. Wait for it...

"Then you'll let me throw you a bachelor party," she said in a rush. "Sonny will be in town in a few weeks, and I thought I could give you a bachelor party at his house. I could cater it from the MetroCourt, and I could even get you a stripper if you'd like." She winked.

"I don't want a bachelor party." Especially since he was already married, he thought.

"Ahhh, come on Jason! It's my job as your best friend to throw you a bachelor party."

"No," Jason said firmly before leaving her side.

"Awwww." Frustrated, Carly pounded her fist into the pillow.

"Carly, no." Jason confirmed, "You won't even have people to invite to even warrant a party"

"Not true! I could invite Sonny, Spinelli." She paused in thought. "Isn't Liz's brother coming to town? I could invite him."

"Four people is not a party, it's a meeting."

She couldn't argue with that, but she was far from being defeated "Then I'll throw you a dinner party."

When Jason didn't object, she knew her plan was working "I'll even invite Liz. It could be for the bridal party and family."

"And you'll be nice?"

Standing abruptly, Carly crossed her heart "I'll be nice. I swear. Three weeks from Saturday. We'll have everyone there. It will be so nice." Clapping her hands; she made her way to the door. "I have so much to do. I better go and decide on a menu. Oh! I need to have Sonny's place aired out and dusted."

Kissing Jason on the cheek, she left as intensely as when she entered. "I'll call you tomorrow to let you know what time to be there." As she rushed out of the penthouse, Jason shook his head. For some reason he couldn't help but feel that he just given permission for disaster.

It wasn't until Carly was in her own driveway that she made a crucial call.

"My plans are in the works. In three weeks, everyone will be at Sonny's house for dinner. Please tell me that you are able to keep your end of the bargain."

"Don't worry," Tracy snarled. "You get everyone to that dinner, and I'll guarantee that the bride will be a no-show at the wedding."
