"Tangled Webs"
Part 1 ~ Stalker

He couldn't stop thinking about her. He knew he should be thousands of miles away from Port Charles, but he couldn't help himself. He had to see her, even if it was just a glimpse. When he was told to leave her, he felt betrayed. He had spent so much time with her, he couldn't help but feel empty with her gone. As he parked across the street from the Scorpio home, he suppressed the urge to snatch Georgie and leave the country. He needed her. He needed her youth and innocence. He fed off of it. Just being in her presence made him feel like a better man, hopeful and successful. He paused and stared at himself in the rearview mirror. He needed to admit the obvious; he had fallen in love with her. He could deny it as much as he wanted to, but he couldn't picture his life without her.

A bedroom light came on in an upstairs window, and as he shifted in his seat to get a better view, he saw the front door open. He had to squint to see clearly, but he quickly recognized Robin and Maxie. They chatted for a few minutes before Robin kissed Maxie on the cheek and headed to her car. As Maxie watched Robin pull out of the driveway, two figures entered the doorframe.

Ian leaned forward to get a better view. As one of the figures moved under the porch light, Ian could see them clearly. If he wasn't mistaken, the awkward figure was Spinelli. Although he didn't know Spinelli, he couldn't help but hate him. Of all the people she had ever known, this was the one person that Georgie remembered. As they stood on the front porch talking, Ian tried to identify the other male figure. As much as he tried, he couldn't remember that fellow. He shrugged his shoulder as he watched both figures say good night and head to their perspective cars. As Spinelli drove in his direction, Ian reclined his seat to remain unseen. It didn't matter though, Spinelli didn't even glance his way.

It would be two hours before Ian turned the ignition on and headed out of Port Charles to a small motel in the next county. By the time he checked in and settled in his room, he felt much better. He knew he had to leave the country, but he decided that he wouldn't be leaving alone. Georgie was his. They were meant to be together. He would kill anyone who tried to take her from him. Anyone!
