Part 2 ~ New Plans

Two days away from reality was the only time Jason and Liz could afford. Even though they were at the Metro Court, being with Liz felt like home for Jason. He missed her. He missed the silkiness of her hair, the softness of her skin, the fullness of her lips, and the sway of her hips. They spent the first few hours satisfying their pent-up physical needs. It was after midnight before they had an actual conversation that didn't involve specific body parts. By three in the morning, Jason had filled Liz in on everything that happened overseas, and Liz updated Jason on things that happened with the boys and the rest of Port Charles. As the sun threatened the darkness, Jason pulled Liz into his arms, loving her slowly and completely. While the rest of Port Charles started their day, Jason and Liz had finally succumbed to sleep, not waking until late in the afternoon.

The sounds of the shower awaked Jason from his deep sleep. As he stretched and turned on his side, he caught a glimpse of Liz's naked form as she entered the bathroom. Jason closed his eyes. Biting his lip, he fantasized about all the things he could do to Liz while she was in the shower. It didn't take long for his body to react, forcing Jason to intrude on Liz's. But it seems as if Jason still had a lot to learn about his future wife.

"What took you so long?" she smirked as Jason stepped into the shower. Before he could answer, she reached for him, wrapping her thighs around his waist. Time slipped away. When they finally surfaced from the bathroom, they were very clean, very wrinkled, and very hungry. As Liz ordered room service, Jason checked his messages. He received calls from his usual contacts: Milo, Max, Diane and Carly; but it was the message from Nik that made Jason pause.

"Is something wrong?" Liz asked.

"Nikolas wants me to call him." Shaking his head, he put the phone down. "He can wait."

"Jason, call him back. I have no intention of watching you worry over the unknown."

Jason nodded slowly and returned Nikolas' call.

"I just wanted to tell you," Nikolas started, "That I'll be leaving for Spain in a few days. I'm not asking you to come with me. I just wanted you to know, and I also wanted to say thanks."

"There's no need to thank me. Emily is my sister, and I'll do anything to find her." Glancing at Liz, Jason continued, "I just have a few things I need to take care of first, then I'll meet you in Europe."

"You don't have to do this."

"Yes, I do." Jason stated firmly. As Jason and Nik made arrangements to keep in touch, the food had arrived.

They ate in silence for a few minutes before Liz asked, "When do you leave?"

Jason gave her a bittersweet smile. "I'll stay if you want me to."

"Never. Emily is important to all of us. We all want to see her come home." Liz tossed her hair over her shoulders and looked Jason in his blue eyes. "I just want to make sure that I give you something to remember before you leave."

"There's only one thing I need you to do for me. Marry me before I leave. I can't leave you here wondering if you'll ever be my wife. Marry me so that I'll have a family to come home to."

As Liz smiled at him, Jason knew that he would be leaving for Europe as a happily married man.
