Part 3 ~ Wishes

"Penny for your thoughts," Jax said lightly.

There was no way that Carly could share her thoughts with Jax. How would she be able to explain that she was trying to destroy Jason's relationship with Elizabeth? He didn't know Jason well and didn't understand all of the things that Jason had been through in his life. Jason needed someone to look out for his best interest and no one could do that better than Carly. Isn't that what best friends are for? As far as she was concerned, it was her duty to make sure that Jason didn't do anything that would cause him pain in the future.  Liz was trying to domesticate Jason, and Carly knew that Jason would be miserable living the life of a suburban husband.  Once she made Jason see the error of his ways, Carly knew that he would be angry, at first. Jason would eventually forgive her; he always did.

If Jason really became upset, Carly knew that she could always blame Tracy. While Jax was at the hospital pharmacy, Tracy was able to track Carly to Kelly's office. Tracy made Carly a deal that she couldn't refuse.  They both had one thing in common, to remove Liz from Jason's life. Tracy never went into her reasons nor did she ask Carly for her motives, but it didn't matter. The end result was the same; stop the wedding before it starts.

Together, they would devise a plan to stop the wedding as soon as Carly delivered her baby.  If things turn out badly, no one would believe that Carly would be capable of sabotaging Jason's relationship while she was preparing for the arrival of a baby.  Yes, if she could pin this nightmare on Tracy and could get everything that she wanted, Carly thought.

"Carly?" Jax questioned as he stopped at the red light. "Are you ok? You seem distracted."

"No." Carly smiled. "I'm just so happy. In a few weeks, we'll meet our child and all of my wishes will come true."

Someone should have told Carly to be careful of what she wished for.
