"Murder, Marriage, and Mayhem"
Part 5 ~ Saturday

The walk in the park was exactly what Mac needed before he headed to the hospital to see Georgie. Members of the FBI would be in Port Charles in the morning. They would do a thorough review of the statements given by Spinelli, Nikolas, Jason, and Lainey. They will want to know how so many people could believe that Georgie was dead. No matter how brilliant Ian was, one man could not pull off this type of scheme. Ian had to have help and if that 'help' was living in Port Charles, Mac wanted to be the one to uncover it. He remembered the day when he had to show Felicia Georgie's autopsy report. The autopsy photos looked so real. How could he have been fooled?

He let his mind drift to thoughts of Georgie. Georgie still did not remember him, and the doctors wouldn't guarantee that she would regain her memory. Everyday Maxie would go to the hospital with a different picture trying to awaken Georgie's memory. As Maxie would share the meanings behind the photos, Georgie would just smile politely, and Maxie would go home in tears over her failed efforts.

The medical tests all came back fine. Although Georgie was in good physical shape, Mac knew that something was still not right. Georgie may be alive, but the girl he raised and loved was gone forever. As the wind caressed his face, the sounds of laugher teased his ears. He knew that laugh, and as he walked down the path, he spotted Robin, Patrick, and Emma having a picnic.

"I know that laugh."

"Uncle Mac!" Robin chirped, "I was just telling Patrick about the time when Maxie was 12, and she convinced Georgie to let her cut Georgie's hair."

Mac chuckled at the memory. "Yes, I remember that. Even though Georgie looked like a porcupine, she never got mad at Maxie."

"I can't imagine raising three girls. I'm surprised you're still sane." Patrick said.

"And to think that I'll be taking on two more girls," Mac confirmed. "Alexis and I decided to get married Saturday."

"Saturday?" Robin asked, looking at Patrick.

"Yes," Mac answered cautiously. "Will that be a problem? I am hoping that you'll all be there."

"Ahh," Robin stammered. "Sure we'll be there. What time and where?"

"I'm getting married at the house in the morning. "

"The morning," Robin repeated, openly relaxing. "We'll be there."

After giving them more detail, Mac headed out of the park and towards the hospital, leaving the small family alone to enjoy the remains of the early evening sun. As Patrick watched Mac leave, he laughed openly.

"What is so funny?"

"I wonder if Mac would change his wedding date if he knew that Jason was getting married on the same day."
