The CW's Official Description:
CLARK DEVELOPS A NEW SUPER POWER – Attempting to stop a
robbery, Clark (Tom Welling) is temporarily blinded when he shoots off a
burst of heat vision that is accidentally reflected back into his eyes by
a piece of kryptonite and soon realizes his body has developed
super-hearing to compensate for his lack of sight. However, as it was in
the beginning with his other gifts, Clark doesn’t quite have his new
power under control. Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum,
Allison Mack, Sam Jones III, John Glover, Annette O’Toole and John
Schneider also star.

Notes:
This is the first episode we see of Clark getting glasses that he will
wear to conceal his identity as Superman.
Sheriff Adams says that Smallville has a population of 45,000.
Why is a blind Clark getting his books out of his locker and taking
them to class? It's not like he can read them...
Jonathan claims that Clark, while blind, would be able to continue
attending all his normal classes. But his blindness would most likely
make him unable to participate in physical education classes.
So exactly how did Jonathan "handcuff" their new doctor so he didn't
figure out anything about Clark's super-powers? The guy didn't take a
blood test or blood pressure test or anything? Unless the Kents are going
to start claiming they're Christian Scientists or something similar, it
seems kinda unlikely.
It's pretty unlikely, even given some vague period of time after her
initial horse-stompin' incident, that Lana would be walking pretty much
normally as she does repeatedly throughout the episode.
Lex walks in to Clark's loft in the middle of a conversation about his
super-powers - there doesn't seem any way he could have missed all of the
conversation.
Does Lana not know what Lex has been going through? She gripes because
he didn't come to see her - he was locked up and undergoing experimental
electroshock therapy.
Jonathan and Clark drive into town, stop at The Talon, and Jonathan
goes in to "get an update." What the heck is he going to get updated on
there?
So...they go to the hospital to get Clark a pair of glasses?
Apparently there's no LensCrafters and one-hour service in the 45,000
sized town of Smallville.
Despite the fact Metropolis is supposedly in Kansas, we see a clear
shot of the Canada Place at the coast of Vancouver.
