Written By: Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders
Directed By: James Marshall
Guest Stars: James Marsters (Brainiac), Connor Stanhope (Young Lex)
UPDATED 3/19/08: Smallville Executive Producer Alfred Gough had an
interview with TV Guide in their March 24-30, 2008 issue. Here are some
highlights:
- Because of the strike, there was a chance that "Veritas" could be the
season finale, so, in Al Gough's words, "We went in and raised the
cliff."
- Long time fans will be rewarded with revelations about the show's
mythology and connections between Lionel Luthor, Virgil Swann, Genevieve
Teague, and others. They all formed a secret society called "Veritas."
"These families were united in a common quest that went horribly awry,"
Gough told TV Guide. "And obviously that common quest involves a certain
Kansas farmboy."
- Brainiac also returns in "Veritas," and Gough hints that "Kara is a
key ingredient to his next plot."
The CW's Official Description (Added 3/8/08): KARA TEACHES CLARK HOW TO
FLY — Kara (Laura Vandervoort) decides to teach Clark (Tom Welling) how
to fly in order to strengthen his chances against Brainiac (guest star
James Marsters). However, Brainiac seems to have the upper hand against
the super cousins, and some of Clark’s loved ones are caught in the
crossfire. Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack, Erica
Durance, Aaron Ashmore and John Glover also star. James Marshall
directed the episode written by Brain Peterson & Kelly Souders
(#3T6315).
UPDATED 2/29/08: Connor Stanhope, who played "Alexander" in "Fracture,"
appears as Lex in the flashback sequence.
- Remember the "Queen Industries CEO Missing, Presumed Dead" headline
wayyy back in Smallville's very first episode? That newspaper factors in
to this story.
UPDATED 2/11/08: Because the Writers' Strike now seems to be over, this
will NOT be the season finale after all! Let's celebrate. However,
because this is not the finale, some of the previously-spoiled story
elements may be subject to change.
UPDATED 1/18/08: Jane Seymour (Genevieve Teague) won't be back after
all. We might meet Jason's father instead. (Where's Jeffrey Dean Morgan
when we need him?)
UPDATED 1/8/08: The presence of Brainiac takes place in the present day,
not in a flashback.
- Chloe isn't the only one to have words with Lionel in this episode.
Expect Lex and Lois to also have dialogue with the elder Luthor.
UPDATED 12/29/07: Even though Clark and Lana have some bumps after the
whole Bizarro thing, it sounds like they will still be in a relationship
by season's end.
- Kristin Kreuk has implied in a CW interview that the season ends on a
cliffhanger, should things end with episode #15. The big cliffhangers,
and the episode itself, deal more with the mythology of the series than
the romantic relationships. There's a lot of big stuff on the way
though...
UPDATED 12/4/07: Roles currently being cast for "Veritas" include Robert
Queen, Young Jason Teague, Young Oliver Queen, and Young Patricia Swann.
Do I smell a flashback? And why not just get the guy who played a
younger version of Dean on Supernatural?
- (Thanks to S.A.M. for this spoiler) Yes, it is a flashback, and the
villain from Smallville's past that might be back is Genevieve Teague.
She's is the casting sides at the very least. The scene in question is a
flashback to when Lionel, Swann, the Queens, and the Teagues were all
working together in the late 1980s.
UPDATED 11/15/07: Lois and Jimmy work together on a story.
- Chloe and Lionel have a confrontation about his true motivations.
Episode #7-16: "Descent"
April 17, 2008
Written By: Holly Henderson & Don Whitehead
Directed By: Ken Horton
UPDATED 3/16/08: Lex confronts Chloe over having something that he
believes she has stolen, and the end result is not very pretty.
UPDATED 3/12/08: Lois and Jimmy find a lead on a big story.
UPDATED 3/4/08: TV Guide's Mike Ausiello has revealed that in this
episode, "a long-running character — a series regular — takes his/her
last breath. As in dies. For real. No cloning crap this time around."
UPDATED 2/29/08: Major plot threads from "Traveler" and "Veritas" will
continue into this episode.
UPDATED 2/28/08:
- At least one regular cast member may be absent from this episode.
Episode #7-17: "Sleeper"
April 24, 2008
Written By: Caroline Dries
UPDATED 3/12/08: Casting notices have gone out for a blonde femme fatale
named "Vanessa." Vanessa is a spy investigating one of Smallville's
major characters. (Meaning, it's either Clark, Lex, Lana, or Chloe who's
being spied on)
UPDATED 2/28/08: Title Posted. Please do not repost this on other
websites without a link to KryptonSite.com.
Episode #7-18: "Apocalypse"
May 1, 2008
Directed By: Tom Welling
Guest Stars: James Marsters (Brainiac)
UPDATED 3/20/08: Tom Welling will be directing this episode.
UPDATED 3/19/08: Title Posted. Please do not repost this on other
websites without a link to KryptonSite.com.
- Roles currently being cast are two Agents, plus two characters named
"Chris" and "George Dean." If you can figure out what those two names
have in common, go to the head of the class.
UPDATED 2/29/08: James Marsters returns as Brainiac in this episode.

Episode #7-7: "Wrath" Air Date: November 8, 2007
Written By: Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson
Directed By: Charles Beeson
Guest Stars: Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabriel)
- UPDATED 9/10/07 (Thanks T.F.!): Thanks to an accident, Lana has
Clark's powers!
- Clark learns what Lana has been hiding from him.
- Lana behaves a bit recklessly with this power and her behavior
disturbs both Lex and Clark. Could the honeymoon already be over?
- The power-transference inspires a mention of Eric Summers, though
sadly, Jimmy's not around to hear about his lookalike, as Aaron Ashmore
is not in this episode.
- Don't expect Kara to save the day in this one, either... Laura
Vandervoort is also not in this episode.
Episode #7-8: "Blue" Air Date: November 15, 2007
Written By: Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer
Directed By : Glen Winter
Guest Stars: Laura Vandervoort (Kara), Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabriel),
Helen Slater (Lara), Christopher Heyerdahl (Zor-El)
- UPDATED 9/25/07: One-time Supergirl Helen Slater returns for her
second appearance as Lara in this episode.
- One of the high-profile guest stars that has already been announced
for Season Seven makes a return appearance in this episode.
- Clark encounters a new color of kryptonite in this episode.
Episode #7-9: "Gemini" Air Date: December 2007
Written By: Caroline Dries
Guest Stars: Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabriel)
- UPDATED 10/3/07 (Thanks T.F.!): Chloe and Jimmy are stuck on an
elevator with a bomb, and Jimmy really doesn't understand why Chloe uses
her one phone call to contact Clark.
- The "Gemini" in this title refers to a new experiment Lex is working
on, much like Project: Ares and Project: Mercury before it.
- This episode has enough twists, turns, and surprises, you'd swear it
was a season finale.
- Laura Vandervoort (Kara) does not appear in this episode.
- "Gemini" is not so much of a holiday episode per se, though story
elements pertaining to the holidays do occur this time around. It's a
backgound part of the story kind of like how the holidays fit in to the
first Die Hard or Lethal Weapon movies.
- There are some very big revelations in this episode, including the
return of a foe from the past. (No, not Brainiac - he's coming later)
- Look for some changes for at least one of Smallville's Season 7
couples in this one. (For those of you keeping track at home, those
couples include Clark/Lana, Lois/Grant, Chloe/Jimmy, and Jimmy/Kara)
Episode #7-10: "Persona" Air Date: January 2008
Guest Stars: James Marsters (Brainiac), Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabriel),
Marc McClure (Dax-Ur)
- UPDATED 10/29/07: Movies' Jimmy Olsen, Marc McClure, plays Dax-Ur,
that "other Kryptonian" we were talking about.
- UPDATED 10/24/07: Someone is shot in this story. Then again, this is
Smallville, where people are shot at every other episode.
- UPDATED 10/9/07 (Thanks T.F.): Clark is so happy about his
relationship with Lana that he tells her he feels like he could fly.
- James Marsters returns as Milton Fine/Brainiac in this episode. (That
is, unless he appears sooner than that...)
- Lex has a major new business venture.
- There is another Kryptonian hidden somewhere on Earth, posing as a
human as their alien nature has been taken away. Something like
Professor Yana on Doctor Who, it sounds like.
Episode #7-11: "Siren" Air Date: January 2008
Guest Stars: Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/The Green Arrow), Alaina
Huffman (Dinah Lance/The Black Canary)
- UPDATED 11/1/07: New spoilers from TV Guide:
- Yes, the Black Canary will be wearing fishnets.
- When we first see the Black Canary, she is a vigilante working for Lex
Luthor.
- The Justice League has been thwarting every one of Lex's plans, and
he's not too happy about it. Lex tells her that if she brings him the
Green Arrow, he will make it worth her while.
- Green Arrow and Black Canary won't be romantic partners yet. "It´s the
very beginning of their relationship," Al Gough told TV Guide. "At the
end of the episode you clearly see that they have some sparks."
- It has been confirmed that Alaina Huffman has been cast as the Black
Canary, as originally reported on Rumorville earlier this week.
- UPDATED 10/31/07: When Oliver gets back to Metropolis, he doesn't
immediately tell Lois he's back in town.
- UPDATED 10/25/07 (Thanks T.F.!): Smallville's version of Dinah Lance
(Black Canary) is the host of a conservative talk radio show. Kind of
like Ann Coulter without the Adam's apple.
- Like the comics, Dinah has dark hair, but wears a wig while in action
as the Black Canary.
- UPDATED 10/23/07: The Black Canary appears in this episode (hence, the
"Siren"), and yes, Oliver Queen is back too.
- UPDATED 10/18/07: This is looking more and more like it will be the
"return of the Green Arrow" episode, though we still cannot confirm
anything. (UPDATED: See Oct. 23 news)
- UPDATED 10/11/07: Smallville creator Al Gough tells TV Guide that
Chloe will be "in quasi-Watchtower mode around Episode 11." "You'll
discover that she is still doing odd jobs for Oliver and the gang on the
side," Gough says.
Episode #7-12: "Fracture" Air Date: 2008
- UPDATED 10/31/07: As with "Lexmas," Lex's mother Lillian factors in to
the story.
- UPDATED 10/26/07: Remember how, for "Persona," we talked about someone
being shot as if it was a common occurrence? Well, it happens again
here, and this time, yet again, it's Lex.
- It sounds like this will be another "Lexmas"-style jaunt into Lex's
psyche. Casting notices have gone out for "Alexander," which sounds like
it will be a representation of Lex's younger self.
- Another role being cast is for a character named "Jacob Finn," but we
don't know anything about him.
Episode #7-13: "Hero" Air Date: 2008
- UPDATED 10/31/07: The guest character ends up saving the lives of two
other characters and is quickly deemed a "hero."
- The guest character first exhibits powers in this story thanks to a
Kryptonite plot device that may stretch your imagination a little bit,
but it's still fun.
- Jimmy thinks this person's power is "cool," which makes Chloe question
her decision not to tell him about her meteor-based ability.
- Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.
- Lex tries to use this newly-supowerpowered person to his advantage.
- UPDATED 10/26/07: A character that fans have been wanting to see on
Smallville for the past few seasons should be appearing in this one.
More Season 7 Spoilers
UPDATED 10/18/07:
Another member of the Justice League will be appearing in an episode
scheduled to air in January. This is someone who has not yet been
introduced on the series.
UPDATED 7/24/07: Kara will be more of a presence than Green Arrow, and
she'll be in at least half of the episodes of the new season. If there
is a Season 8, she'll still be around.
- Look for tension and conflict between Lex and Lois.
- Clark MAY fly in Season Eight.
- Bizarro, the Green Arrow, and Brainiac will be back.
- There is talk that Smallville could possibly go for eight seasons
total. Michael Rosenbaum has announced his intention to leave the show
after Season 7, but don't worry, he'll still be on the show through that
time!
Smallville Season 7 Write-Up: Take Two
Earlier this year, the CW had released a different write-up about Season
Seven of Smallville. Now that some of the plots are known from the new
season, they've released this new, spoiler-filled take. Beware of major
spoilers. And also, of course, know that you can read many, many more
spoilers at the KryptonSite Spoilers Page.
In last season's finale, Lana (Kristin Kreuk, "Partition") confronted
Lex over his lies about the baby, confessed she was still in love with
Clark and told Lex she was leaving him. Lana turned to
Clark for comfort but when she revealed that Lionel (John Glover,
"Brimstone") forced her to marry Lex, Clark went after Lionel to stop
his machinations once and for all. However, Martian Manhunter (guest
star Phil Morris) stepped in to explain Lionel is on their side and
together they've been working to stop Lex from finding the last Phantom
Zone escapee as Lex needs the wraith's DNA to fuel his army of super
soldiers. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance, "The Butterfly Effect 2") had
her own agenda for bringing Lex down and snooped around his base at
Reeves Dam. When an armed guard confronted her, Lois was stabbed and
left for dead. She called Chloe (Allison Mack, "The Ant Bully") for
help, but her cousin arrived too late and found Lois. As a despondent
Chloe clutched Lois, her latent meteor power was revealed. Chloe healed
Lois, but took on her wounds and collapsed. Lana's car exploded when she
tried to leave town, and the police confronted Lex at the dam and
arrested him for murder. The wraith attacked Clark, creating Clark's
ultimate enemy - Bizarro. The two super men fought and their struggle
caused Reeves Dam to break, flooding the area and leaving everyone in
peril.
This season Clark will face his biggest battles yet. Bizarro is intent
on destroying him as only one of them can survive. Clark has also lost
the love of his life to a horrific accident; his adoptive mother Martha
(Annette O'Toole, "Superman II") has left for Washington; and the
biggest trial for Clark comes in the form of his nineteen-year-old
female cousin, Kara AKA Supergirl (newcomer Laura Vandervoort).
When the dam broke, Kara's spaceship was released from the earth. She
had been in suspended animation for years, having in fact left Krypton
as a teenager with the intent to look after young Kal-El after he
arrived on Earth. However, as she didn't age when inside the ship, she
now finds herself younger than her cousin and he's now the one looking
after her. Kara is fascinated with Earth's culture and has difficulty
remembering to hide her powers from the world. Her
youthful abandon puts her in several precarious situations that land her
in hot water and directly onto Lex's radar.
Lana's death appears to have made Lex reevaluate his life. He willingly
goes to jail for the murder of his wife and begins to help those in need
instead of exploiting them. The secret army has been dissolved, but he
begins a new fixation on Kara and her ship, although he doesn't
immediately realize the two are connected. Lex also continues his
awkward relationship with his father Lionel. Neither trusts each other
and Lex is all too aware that Lionel has many secrets and had a part in
taking down Lex's secret army. The two cunning Luthors continue to
circle each other warily, each waiting for the other to make a move that
could prove the end for father or son. Another who doubts Lex's new
charitable attitude is Lois Lane. After the harm the secret army caused
her family and friends, Lois has sworn to find a way to bring the
billionaire down. Lois also takes a big step in her career when the new
Daily Planet editor Grant Gabriel (guest star Michael Cassidy) is
charmed by her take-no-prisoners attitude and hires her as his star
reporter. While jumping at the chance to show off her investigative
reporter skills, Lois feels bad about stealing some of her cousin
Chloe's limelight.
Reinterpreting the Superman mythology from its roots, "Smallville" was
developed for television by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar ("Shanghai
Noon," "Spiderman 2"), based on the DC Comics characters. Gough and
Millar serve as executive producers, along with Ken Horton, Kelly
Souders & Brian Peterson, Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer, James Marshall,
Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola. The series is produced by
Tollin/Robbins Productions, Millar/Gough Ink and Warner Bros.
Television. SUPERMAN was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.

Kevin Sorbo Coming To Smallville?
POSTED 9-2-07 At the recent DragonCon convention in Atlanta, it was
allegedly said by one-time Hercules actor Kevin Sorbo that he would soon
be appearing on Smallville. He didn't specify what the role would be, but
we'd say chances are very good that he might be playing Zor-El, Kryptonian
father to Kara (aka Supergirl) in the episode "Lara."
Sorbo has a Superman connection, having been one of the final contenders
for the role of Clark Kent on Lois & Clark.
Thanks to Dave for the tip.
James Marsters Returning As Brainiac?
POSTED 8-31-07
At a recent appearance, actor James Marsters revealed that a return to
Smallville might be coming in his future.
It has been hinted by Smallville's creators that a foe from the past of
Clark and Lex would be returning, and that they might have to work
together to stop him - could Brainiac be it?
Right now Marsters is filming a story arc for the series Without A
Trace, so it's likely that if he does return, it will be in the latter
half of Season 7.
Stay tuned...
UPDATE: Tom Approached For Justice League Movie?
POSTED 8-25-07
On the August 24 edition of G4TV's Attack of the Show and IESB.net, it
was reported that Tom Welling has been approached to play the Man of Steel
for Warner Bros.' big-screen movie adaptation of the Justice League of
America.
This morning, we received word from Smallville's executive producer and
creator Alfred Gough that this is not the case.
"Completely false. Hasn't been approached. He's under contract to the
show through season 8," Gough says.
The Superman Homepage heard a similar report last night when they seeked
confirmation from Gough. "Hasn't happened, won't happen," Gough told
them.
IESB still stands by their story. "We have triple checked this out and
all indications are that Tom Welling in fact is a go on the WB side,"
IESB's Robert Sanchez said. "I rechecked with my sources and they are all
still saying yes, yes Tom Welling, yes Justice League, yes production
starts early next year and yes Smallville will have to work around it.
Believe me, the IESB will be the first to post a retraction on a story if
we are proved wrong, but right now, this is what we are hearing."
Prior to this rumor's surfacing all indications had pointed to Tom
having very little interest in ever wearing tights. If it happens, though,
it sounds like the studio would have to wait until AFTER Tom's eight-year
Smallville contract is up.
Lana Lang Lives?
POSTED 8-13-07
It's the Smallville question of the summer: "Is she or isn't she?"
A poster on the KryptonSite Forum claims to have seen evidence that Lana
Lang - or a character played by Kristin Kreuk, at least - is back as early
as the season's third episode, "Fierce."
So now the question is, if she IS back... then how and when? Is it
really Lana? Stay tuned... Season 7 begins on September 27.
Helen Slater as Lara?
POSTED 8-1-07; UPDATED 8-5-07
A new interview on the Newsday website contains some very interesting
tidbits and comments from Helen Slater, the actress who played Supergirl
in the 1984 movie of the same year.
Most notable in this article was this: "Smallville's producers are
looking to bring me back, as Supergirl's aunt," Slater says. Now... either
Clark Kent has an Earth-bound aunt that we don't know about, or we may be
seeing Lara, Clark's mother from the planet Krypton.
Also in the Newsday article, Ms. Slater talks about her movie, and how
she hopes Smallville does a better job with Kara Zor-El. "The character
was just a female replica of Superman, so [it] never made a viable story,"
Slater says. "It didn't really tap into what Supergirl was experiencing.
Hopefully Smallville gets it right."
UPDATED: This news has been CONFIRMED as true. See the KryptonSite
Spoilers Page for more details.
Supergirl Spin-Off In The Works?
POSTED 7-27-07
Smallville adds Laura Vandervoort as Kal-El's Kryptonian cousin Kara
Zor-El, aka Supergirl. But might there be more planned for her character
than just a Smallville guest run?
An interview with Vandervoort's grandfather implies that following her
Smallville stint, Kara will be going off to her own series.
Smallville's creators and the show's publicity have not said anything
about a spin-off, which is why we're putting this one on Rumorville for
now.
The Green Arrow Returns?
POSTED 6-21-07
Abby sent us the following news posting from Justin Hartley's official
website:
Hartley Does Double Duty For The CW
Justin Hartley joins the cast of CW's mid-season replacement series,
"Eight Days A Week" opposite Christina Milan and Mario Lopez produced by
Sean Hayes. Hartley, who will play the role of 'Ben,' will also continue
his role on as the 'Green Arrow'/Oliver Queen' on CW's "SMALLVILLE."
Congratulations Justin!
Could this mean that the Green Arrow will return? Could he have had
something to do with Lana faking her death? (That is, if she faked her
death...) Stay tuned to see.
Big Things for Season 7?
POSTED 5-27-07
One thing that we keep hearing around here is that there will be big
announcements coming this summer about Smallville's seventh season.
The last time we had this level of buzz, we got Aquaman, James Marsters,
Tom Wopat, a character death, and one of the best seasons of the series.
What could this year's announcements be?
No one's saying anything. A lift on the Batman embargo would be
thrilling but unlikely. The return of the Justice League? Possible. Lori
Lemaris, or the Legion of Super-Heroes? Who knows. Either way, keep an eye
on KryptonSite this summer and as soon as we know anything, we'll let you
know on the Spoilers page!
From Kryptonsite:
Episode #7-1: "Bizarro" Air Date: September 27,
2007
Written By: Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson
Directed By: Michael Rohl
Guest Stars: Laura Vandervoort (Kara/Supergirl), Phil Morris (John
Jones)
- UPDATED 8/30/07: Bizarro wants to team up with Lex to take down Clark.
Lex refuses, insisting that he is a changed man. (after that "mysterious
blond woman" has given him a "religious experience")
- Bizarro wants kryptonite to increase his power. Exposure to Kryptonite
turns his cracked face back to normal.
- UPDATED 8/13/07: John Glover does appear in this episode as Lionel,
but his screen time is very limited. The preview clip shown at Comic-Con
shows Lionel at the side of a river bank. Lionel returns in a much more
major way in the season's fifth episode, "Action."
- UPDATED 7/16/07: New spoilers from S.A.M.: Lex is rescued from a
watery grave by a mysterious blond woman. Do the math and it's pretty
clear who that blond woman may be.
- UPDATED 7/11/07: More spoilers from S.A.M., regarding Chloe in the
morgue: "Actually it's Clark who saves her. After being informed by the
nurse that Chloe has been moved to the morgue, he hears her screaming and
uses his supervision to scan the body drawers, where he sees her thrashing
around."
- UPDATED 7/9/07: E! Online is now reporting that Jimmy Olsen is NOT in
the premiere after all.
- E! also says that a female body is in the morgue. S.A.M. tells us that
this is Chloe, but that "she is not dead."
- UPDATED 7/1/07: John Jones, the Martian Manhunter, is in this
episode.
- The season premiere is NOT, nor was it ever called, "Vestige." Rumors
went out that an "outline" was released, but it was really all the work of
an overzealous fanfic writer. Unfortunately, this title has made its way
to the Internet Movie Database, but it IS wrong.
- UPDATED 6/26/07: Title Posted. Please do not repost this on other
websites without a link to KryptonSite.com. (Hey! We called it twice on
April Fool's - in 2006 and 2007!)
- According to a chat at E! Online, the new Daily Planet editor will not
be in the Season 7 premiere episode, although they ARE already in the
casting process for the role.
- Supergirl is coming to Smallville! Read "More Season 7 Spoilers"
below.
- No word yet on if Lana lives, though she is on the cast list for Season
7.
Episode #7-2: "Kara" Air Date: October 4, 2007
Written By: Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer
Directed By: James Conway
Guest Stars: Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabriel), Laura Vandervoort
(Kara/Supergirl)
- UPDATED 9/4/07: Judging from the new photos, Lois discovers Kara's
ship. However, no one believes her reports of what she had seen.
- UPDATED 7/16/07: New spoilers from S.A.M.: Lex, determined to find out
who the blond woman is that rescued him, sketches the woman and has his
minions searching for her. (The blond woman is Kara)
- Also from S.A.M.: Lex also has his people looking for someone else,
using voice recognition software. They find who they are looking for in
China. Could this person that he has found possibly be Lana, alive after
all? We don't know, but it could be...
- UPDATED 7/10/07: Kara expects "Kal-El" to be a baby upon her arrival.
She first looks for him in the nursery at the hospital; later, she thinks
little boys at a playground may be Kal-El. (Thanks S.A.M.!)
- After about two seasons of very little interaction, we finally get a
scene between Chloe and Lex.
- UPDATED 7/9/07: Title Posted. Please do not repost this on other
websites without a link to KryptonSite.com.
- Grant's last name is allegedly "Gabriel" according to online reports.
Aren't there enough Gabriels in Smallville? (Gabriel Sullivan, the kid who
shot at Clark, etc... And what would Gabriel Gray make of this?)
- Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy) and John Glover (Lionel) do not appear in this
episode.
- Roles currently being cast for the episode include a scientist, an
investigator, a boy named Cody, a "Black Suit," a Doctor, Dennis King, and
two punks.
- UPDATED 7/6/07: We hear the new Daily Planet editor, originally
referred to as Greg, is now a "Grant." He will be introduced in this
episode, since he's not in the episode before it.
- TV Guide's Mike Ausiello has revealed that Grant will be played by
Michael Cassidy of The O.C. fame.
- Considering Cassidy himself is only 23 years old, chances are good that
his character will be more of a "junior editor."
Episode #7-3: "Fierce" Air Date: October 11, 2007
Written By: Holly Harold
Directed By: Whitney Ransick
Guest Stars: Michael Cassidy (Grant Gabri el), Laura Vandervoort
(Kara/Supergirl), Eva Pigford (Tyler)
- UPDATED 8/13/07: Lana Lang MIGHT be back before this episode. (See
Rumorville!)
- UPDATED 7/19/07: Clark takes Kara to Smallville's annual Harvest
Festival, where she decides to join the Miss Sweet Corn Pageant. So much
for staying incognito.
- Kara gets a job at the Talon and has a conversation with the
establishment's folically-challenged owner. Lex is very curious about
her...
- Chloe gets the scoop on a major story for the Planet.
- And, some more spoilers from S.A.M.: At the Sweet Corn Pageant, Kara
encounters three tough competitors.... so tough, they kill one of the
contestants using their various powers (heat, cold, weather), and frame
Kara.
- Clark and Kara have a surprise visitor in the barn.
- UPDATED 7/16/07: Erica Durance and John Glover do not appear in this
episode, but Aaron Ashmore does.

Episode #7-4: "Cure" Air Date: October 18, 2007
Written By: Al Septien & Turi Meyer
Directed By: Rick Rosenthal
Guest Stars: Phil Morris (Martian Manhunter), Laura Vandervoort (Kara),
Dean Cain (Dr. Curtis Knox), Jovanna Huguet (Sasha Woodman)
- UPDATED 8/21/07: Jovanna Huguet has been cast as Sasha Woodman,
confirming that Shonda Farr is not returning.
- UPDATED 8/13/07: Casting notices have gone out for Sasha Woodman,
which implies they may be recasting the role. Hopefully Shonda Farr will
be available.
- UPDATED 8/2/07: Chloe is reunited with Sasha Woodman, the meteor freak
from the first season episode "Drone." Sasha claims she is cured from her
meteor-induced craziness. (Thanks S.A.M.)
- UPDATED 7/31/07: Want to know Knox's secret? He's lived for thousands
of years. How Vandal Savage of him! (Thanks S.A.M.)
- UPDATED 7/28/07: Former Superman Dean Cain has been cast as Dr. Curtis
Knox.
- The possibly-villainous Dr. Knox has a special talent - he can "cure"
someone from being a "meteor freak," forever changing their lives and
rehabilitating them. This news, of course, is of special interest to
Chloe. But Dr. Knox may have yet another secret which may mean his deeds
aren't necessarily that good.
- Dr. Knox is working for or with Lex Luthor, so expect some scenes
between Dean and Michael Rosenbaum. He might also tie into the over-arcing
Level 33.1 story.
- UPDATED 7/24/07: John Jones, the Martian Manhunter, is in this
episode.
- John Glover, Erica Durance, and Michael Cassidy do not appear in this
episode.

Episode #7-5: "Action" Air Date: October 25, 2007
Written By: Caroline Dries
Directed By: Mairzee Almas
- UPDATED 8/22/07 (Thanks S.A.M.): Lionel is being held in the cabin by
a strange woman named Marilyn. It starts out very 'Misery' like with
Lionel being shackled to the bed and sedated. Lionel does manage to escape
but is struck in the head while running through the woods. The person who
hits him - the same person who has been paying Marilyn to keep him in the
cabin - may surprise you. (Here's a clue: The initials of this person are
L.L.)
- Lionel is saved by Lex (guess that eliminates one suspect), though
Lionel accuses Lex of being the one who had him held. Before they get
away, Marilyn pulls a gun on them. She is struck in the head (for a second
time in one episode!) by Lois, who had been following Lex.
- UPDATED 8/21/07 (Thanks S.A.M.): One of the characters in this episode
is Ben, a production assistant on the Warrior Angel film. He glimpses
Clark grabbing a bullet meant for the star of the film, and tells Clark he
owes it to the world to use his powers. Could he be the crazed fan who is
trying to kill the female lead?
- Lionel is being held against his will in an isolated cabin.
- UPDATED 8/13/07: The list of "roles being cast" that we originally had
for "Action" is actually for the episode "Lara." Our apologies for the
mistake!
- UPDATED 8/11/07: The life of the lead actress in a Warrior Angel movie
is in danger. It sounds like some fans on the internet might not like her
so much, because her character was not supposed to be a part of the
Warrior Angel comic books at that point in his career.
- There is a lot of meta-humor in this one, including a lead actor who
tells his bosses that they promised him "no masks, no flights!"
- Laura Vandervoort (Kara) does not appear in this episode.
- UPDATED 8/10/07: Title Revealed. Please do not repost this on other
websites without a link to KryptonSite.com. Another website recently felt
the need to lift this and all of the other Season 7 titles we've posted,
AND ripped off some of the spoilers, as if it's their own "scoop," and
that's just really lame and frustrating.
- Lionel Luthor returns in this episode.
- This episode involves the filming of a movie based on the Warrior Angel
comic books. (Thanks T.F.!)
Episode #7-6: "Lara" Air Date: November 1, 2007
Guest Stars: Helen Slater (Lara), Laura Vandervoort (Kara), Kevin
Sorbo (Zor-El; unconfirmed)
- UPDATED 9/2/07: The role of Zor-El might be played by Kevin Sorbo of
Hercules: The Legendary Journeys fame, though this has not yet been
confirmed. (See Rumorville for more)
- A red and blue blur (Kara) is reported to be seen over the Washington,
D.C. skyline, though before you get excited, she isn't there to see Martha
Kent.
- Kara is kidnapped by a government agent who has realized the connection
between her and her crashed ship.
- Chloe discovers a secret that Lana is keeping from Clark.
- UPDATED 8/14/07 (Thanks S.A.M.!): Some government agents have an
aquamarine crystal in their possession. The crystal came from Kara's ship.
While they are studying it, an intrigued Lex enters the lab.
- UPDATED 8/13/07: Roles now being cast for the episode include a
Hallwell Guard, Lead Tech, Manager, and Kevin. No title for this episode
is known at this time.
- Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.
- UPDATED 8/9/07: This one is called "Lara," and according to S.A.M.,
we'll also see Kara's father, Zor-El, in this episode.
- UPDATED 8/5/07: One-time Supergirl Helen Slater guest stars as
"Supergirl's aunt," which we can only take to mean that she is playing
Lara, Clark's Kryptonian mother.
Episode #7-7: "Wrath" Air Date: November 8, 2007
- UPDATED 9/5/07: Title Posted.
More Season 7 Spoilers - Lana Lang lives!
- Lana's return will somehow involve cloning.
- The Green Arrow will return sometime around the middle of the season.
- UPDATED 7/24/07: John Jones, The Martian Manhunter, will be back in
Season 7. So far we know he will at least be in the season premiere and in
episoe #7-4, "Cure."
- New from the Voices From Krypton Podcast: There will be a reference made
to the other "Kara" (from "Covenant") and there might be another
confrontation or conversation with Jor-El on the way.
- Kara will be more of a presence than Green Arrow, and she'll be in at
least half of the episodes of the new season. If there is a Season 8,
she'll still be around.
- Look for tension and conflict between Lex and Lois.
- Clark MAY fly in Season Eight.
- UPDATED 6/11/07: The CW has issued a new press release talking about
Supergirl's arrival and background. The release also contains new
spoilers, including the tidbit that she will be taking a liking to Jimmy
Olsen (new series regular Aaron Ashmore.) Read the press release!
- UPDATED 6/11/07: TV Guide has revealed that Clark's Kryptonian cousin
Kara, a.k.a. Supergirl, will be appearing - and this time it will be the
real deal. Look for her in the Season 7 premiere. Apparently this
"Supergirl" will be able to fly and can do some things Clark cannot yet do
at this point. Kara will appear in "about half of the season's
episodes."
- UPDATED 6/5/07: New scoop from TV Guide's Mike Ausiello: Smallville's
producers are apparently looking for an "extremely hot" thirtysomething
actor to play a new editor at the Daily Planet. This character will appear
in six of Season 7's first eight epiosdes and will be a love interest for
Lois Lane. Hopefully this is not the big announcement we hinted at on
Rumorville, since the last thing we need is more triangles.
- UPDATED 5/27/07: Mike Ausiello of TV Guide spoke to both Erica Durance
and John Glover at the 2007 CW Upfronts. Among the things revealed: Chloe
WILL survive her whole "pass out after saving Lois" ordeal, according to
Erica... and Glover confirms that Annette O'Toole will not be returning
this Fall.
- Does Lana live? Will Chloe be okay? Some speculation on who will and
will not be returning can be found at Rumorville.
- Annette O'Toole will not be a series regular in Season 7. However,
Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy) WILL be. (Read the CW's Season 7 write-up!)
- There is talk that Smallville could possibly go for eight seasons
total. Michael Rosenbaum has announced his intention to leave the show
after Season 7, but don't worry, he'll still be on the show through that
time!
What's Up With Kristin?
POSTED 7-6-07
One of the hottest topics over the summer is what is up with Kristin
Kreuk's Smallville contract. This discussion has been further fueled by
E! Online saying they're still "negotiating" about her future on
the show.
The fact of the matter is this: Chances are, if a decision has been made
regarding Kristin, it was probably made a while back. Kristin IS on the
Season 7 cast list, so unless that's a fake spoiler put out there to
throw
us off the scent, she'll be back. Also, remember that this time three
years ago, Allison Mack was telling fans at Comic-Con that Chloe had
departed the show. The producers and the network are probably
going to want us to keep wondering, because hey, it's publicity. Who
knows - maybe we won't have a definitive answer until the season itself
begins.

Could this mean that the Green Arrow will
return? Could he have had something to do with Lana faking her death?
(That is, if she faked her death...) Stay tuned to see.

A lift on the Batman embargo would be thrilling but unlikely. The return
of the Justice League? Possible. Lori Lemaris, or the Legion of
Super-Heroes?

Supergirl to join Superman on 'Smallville'
(digital spy)
Updated: 2007-06-13 10:01
Supergirl will be flying into the cast of Smallville later this year,
the CW has announced.
The show's executive producer Al Gough heralded the new arrival,
stating: "One of the joys of creating Smallville has been our ability to
reinvent and reinterpret classic DC Comics characters and I believe
that Supergirl will give our series the mythic jolt that it needs."
Casting is currently underway for the role, but details of her character
have been revealed by CW. Supergirl will take the form of a 19-year-old
called Kara who, unlike Clark Kent, already has the ability to fly. She
is also set to fall for the charms of Jimmy Olsen.
From tvguide.com
Question: Any news on the type of person (age, looks, etc) the CW wants
for
Supergirl on Smallville?— Nicole
Ausiello:
KryptonSite has a detailed casting breakdown, but basically they're
looking for an actress who has blonde hair and can pass for 19. Also
— and you didn't hear this from me — the hope is that Supergirl will
eventually be spun off into her own CW show. But again, you didn't hear
that from me.
Question: Is there any truth to the rumor that Smallville is trying
to get Kristen Bell to play Supergirl?— Jason
Ausiello: That sounds suspiciously like the sort of baseless rumor I'd
start. As awesome as that would be, there's no way KB would take a
supporting role at this stage of her career. And, really, who can blame
her? The girl's on fire!
Question: Any news on who'll play the new editor of the "Daily
Planet" on Smallville (Ausiello Report 6/4)?— Justin
Ausiello: I'll tell you who won't be playing him: the erstwhile Clark
Kent Dean Cain. "Interestingly, we want to have Dean on the show this
year, but I doubt it's going to be in this role," exec producer Al Gough
told my colleague Rich Sands. "We had thought about it, but I don't
think we can make that work for a number of reasons, none of which, by
the way, are creative. It's scheduling, financial, things like that. But
the plan is to have Dean Cain on the show this year." So who is Gough
eyeing to play the "Planet" boss? "We'd love to stunt-cast it with a
great person, and we're going to audition for that."
SMALLVILLE SEASON FINALE SPOILERS!
From CWTV.com: Season finale. See the
preview and
the
Director's Cut for this episode.
When Clark (Tom Welling) discovers Lionel (John Glover) threatened to kill
him unless Lana (Kristin Kreuk) married Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), he goes
after Lionel to silence him once and for all. Lana tells Lex she is leaving
him, and Martian Manhunter (guest star Phil Morris) makes a return
appearance to help Clark stop Lex, who is trying to find the last wraith
from the Phantom Zone in order to use its DNA to power his army of super
soldiers. Meanwhile, Lois (Erica Durance) goes to Reeves Dam in search of
information about Lex's secret lab and is brutally stabbed by a security
guard. Chloe's (Allison Mack) secret power is revealed.
See the trailer at http://svfan.com/
Trailer shows Lana telling Lex that she care more for Clark than she
ever did for him, and then Lex slaps her. Then it shows Clark
throwing Lex up against the wall for that. It also shows Clark
hitting Lionel, who is begging him not to kill him because he's Kal-El.
Then John Jonzz, The Martian Manhunter, stops Clark and tells him that
Lionel is on their side. It shows Lana on the phone to someone,
saying she is leaving town for good. Then it shows Lionel running
after her, calling her name. She gets into a car, which explodes.
It also shows Chloe crying over Lois body and crying, "No! I can't lose
you!"
From Kryptonsite: UPDATED 4/13/07: Kristin Veitch at E! Online claims
that there will be a death of one of the show's four major characters
(Clark, Lana, Lex, or Chloe) in the finale. UPDATED 4/12/07: This might
be the final episode as a regular cast member for at least one person
(See Rumorville)
- An explosion was filmed on Wednesday April 11th. Chances are good that
the explosion may involve Lana in some way.
- As with any Smallville finale, expect almost every major character to
be in peril at the season's end. Unless, of course, their story has
already seen its end within the episode itself.
- Bizarro-Clark has a similar color scheme to Clark, except with a red
shirt and a blue jacket.
- The ultimate survival of Lois may depend on Chloe's power.
- A lot of long-awaited confrontations may finally happen here.
- Aaron Ashmore does not appear in this episode, as he departs in
"Noir."
- New from The CW: "Lana (Kristin Kreuk) tell Lex (Michael Rosenbaum)
their marriage is over, and Clark (Tom Welling) goes after Lionel (John
Glover) when he discovers the real reason Lana agreed to marry Lex."
UPDATED 3/21/07: TV Guide's Mike Ausiello reveals that the Martian
Manhunter will be returning in this episode.
- And some new spoilers from S.A.M.: Clark fights Bizarro-Clark!!
(Another April Fool's prophecy comes true...) And, it seems that Lois
gets stabbed in the gut. Ouch. Smallville writer Steve DeKnight has revealed on his blog that
the Green Arrow will not be making an appearance in the finale.
"Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Justin will be available to reprise
his role as Green Arrow [in the finale]. I believe he has a gig on a CW
pilot," he said.
- Without the Green Arrow, will we see any other Justice Leaguers? Guess
we'll have to wait and see...
- DeKnight also reveals: "Chloe definitely has an ability, and you'll
see what it is in the season finale."

Episode
6.22: Phantom (Season? finale)
Airdate: May 17, 2007
* new 05/15 - Clark's greatest weakness is going to be his new enemy's
greatest strength. Lionel's true colors are revealed, and they're not as
dark as we imagined. Lois has a dead-end run-in with one of Lex's goons
in an awesome sequence. Clark finally tells Lana his secret again, with
very similar results. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

stars. Source: The CW
* 04/24 - Chloe's power will be revealed during the season finale, and
Lois Lane plays a large role in the big reveal. Sources tell me it is a
lot like the scene between Peter Petrelli and Claire on [April 23]'s
Heroes. Source: Kristin on E!Online [Note: In Heroes, Claire removes a
piece of glass from Peter's head and he comes back from the dead. Claire
has the power of healing herself. Peter can "mirror" powers from other

General Spoilers:
* 04/17 - My sources tell me another character (a second one) is leaving
the show by season's end. Source: Kristin on E!Online
* 04/16 - Inside sources tell me exclusively that one of the main four
castmembers—Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack or Kristin
Kreuk—will be killed off before the season ends. Although all of these
castmembers are under contract for one more season (they initially
signed seven-year deals), producers have decided to have one of their
characters meet an untimely end, in a shocking plot twist. Naming
exactly who is going six feet under would ruin the viewer experience so
I'll simply tell you this regarding the soon-to-be-deceased character's
identity: It is someone who is most definitely a fan favorite. And I
think you're gonna freak. Source: Kristin on E!Online
* 02/15 - Al Gough reveals: The whole "evil Jor-El" thing is up for
debate. Maybe it's more like tough love than being evil. At any rate, as
he's discovered, Clark needs to take care of those darn Phantom Zoners
before he can go back to Daddy. We haven't forgotten what happened at
the end of "Zod," and neither has Lionel. Without spoiling anything, I
will say that [Lana's] baby is an important part of the rest of the
season. Source: TV Guide Online
* 02/14 - Michael Rosenbaum reveals: I think next season will definitely
happen. [...] Next year will be my last year. I had a great run. I loved
it, but that will be it for me. I think other people have longer
contracts. I’m not going to say who, but I know that next year is the
last for me. So, it will be very sad when it happens, but all good
things must come to an end. Source: Kristin on E!Online
* 02/10 - Alfred Gough reveals: Martian Manhunter will be an ongoing
presence this season and perhaps into next. There are a finite number of
Zoners, or so we are led to believe. But who knows, there may be more!
Source: TV Guide Online
* 12/07 - Alfred Gough reveals: [Jonathan Kent will probably not appear
again. If we get a 7th season,] we'll just keep moving [Clark's] journey
towards Superman further and introduce other DC comic characters.
Source: BuddyTV
* 01/26 - After Lois tries on lipstick made with red kryptonite, she
becomes overwhelmed with desire for Clark and makes her move. The two
share a kiss, transferring the red kryptonite to Clark and his
inhibitions immediately shut down causing "bad-Clark" to emerge. Fueled
by the red rock, Clark decides to break up Lex and Lana's wedding dinner
and kidnap the bride-to-be. Source: The CW
* 01/16 - It's Valentine's Day in Smallville, where love blooms and
hearts are broken, but not for the usual reasons -- red kryptonite is
infused into cosmetics, and that makes Lois and Clark a little crazy.
Source: TV Guide Online
* 01/02 - Clark admits to Chloe that [highlight if you want to be that
spoiled... he has considered a relationship with her in the past, and
that is what breaks her up with Jimmy. Also, the red-K induced Clois
might go away as soon as something more interesting comes along for
Clark.] Source: KryptonSite
* 12/20 - It's just Lois and Lana who [Clark] puckers up to. Clark is
actually pretty rude to Chloe, teasing her about always wanting him. But
that's just the Red-K talking. [The couple who will change and not for
the better is [highlight if you want to be that spoiled... Chloe and
Jimmy.] Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
* 12/13 - It's not Clark and Lois [whose relationship will change]. And
the change isn't for the better. [Lois will not be flying alone.]
Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide
* 12/06 - [The couple whose status will change after this episode is] a
couple we've been rooting for, and Clark is the reason the relationship
changes. Speaking of the action-packed "Crimson" episode, Clark gets
infected with Red Kryptonite and goes on a massive kissing spree. (It is
Valentine's Day, after all.) Among his victims: Two women whose names
start with "L." By the end of the day, one of them won't remember
anything and another will have proof that Clark possesses some seriously
super DNA. At the end of the episode, there's a big twist concerning the
bun in Lana's oven. And Martian Manhunter returns. Sort of. "Crimson"
also features the third Lois Lane to find herself flying over
Metropolis' skyline. The episode is gonna be huge, people. Huge! And I
suspect Tom Welling fans are going to love seeing sexy Clark back.
Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide [Note: According to KryptonSite, the
Martian Manhunter would not be appearing in this episode.]
* 12/04 - In what can only be described as "Red meets Rush," Clark is
infected with red Kryptonite yet again, and at least one other major
character also feels the effects. The Red K causes Clark's inhibitions
to drop and his emotions all come to the surface. He lets everyone know
what he thinks of recent developments - including Lana's pregnancy and
Martha's relationship with Lionel. Even though some people thought she'd
be out for a little while due to filming a movie, Lois (Erica Durance)
is in this episode. The status of at least one relationship will change
after "Crimson." Source: KryptonSite

Episode 6.14: Trespass
Airdate: February 8, 2007
* 01/21 - After receiving a photo of herself dressing in her room, Lana
realizes she has a stalker and decides to hide out at a surprising
location. Meanwhile, Jimmy breaks up with Chloe because he believes she
isn't truly over Clark, forcing Chloe to take a deep look at her
feelings for her best friend. Michael Rosenbaum, Erica Durance, John
Glover and Annette O'Toole also star. Source: The CW
* 12/12 - Lois Lane (Erica Durance) does not appear in this episode.
It's been a while since we've had a "Lana has a stalker" story, so this
episode should fill that void that we know we've all had. Casting
material for this episode has gone out in Vancouver. They're looking for
an admitting nurse, two paparazzi, a reporter, and a man named Brady.

Episode 6.15: Freak
Airdate: February 15, 2007
* 01/26 - Clark and Chloe discover that Tobias (guest star Greyston
Holt), a young man who was blinded in the meteor shower and now has the
ability to identify "meteor freaks," is being used by Lex to locate
people with abilities in order to experiment on them. Lana finds out
about Tobias' gift, and fearing he will name Clark as one infected,
offers him a cornea transplant in exchange for his silence. However, she
is not prepared for Tobias' shocking news. Erica Durance, John Glover
and Annette O'Toole also star. Source: The CW
* 12/12 - Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) do
not appear in this episode. A young man named Tobias was blinded in the
second meteor shower, but he was left with a gift - the ability to sense
other meteor-affected people, with a kind of a "freak-dar." When someone
who is infected by meteors is in his vicinity, they glow green in his
eyes. Source: KryptonSite

Episode 6.16: Promise
Airdate: March/April 2007

doesn't necessarily mean anyone's getting married. Source: Ask Ausiello

6.16, but considering the title, we are making the assumption that it
is.]

Episode 6.17: Combat
Airdate: March/April 2007
* new 01/30 - A nasty fight promoter sets up battles between Phantom
Zoners and some prisoners. Lois Lane gets in the middle when she
investigates. Also, a doctor performs a special task for Lex, a task
which involves Lana, in exchange for a hefty payment. Lana experiences
some pain associated with the baby while she and Lex are on the
Luthorcorp jet. They make an emergency landing at a hospital in China.
It sounds like Lana's unborn baby could be in some serious danger... The
Justice League has apparently been very busy (off-screen): They've taken
down 8 out of the 12 33.1 facilities. Roles currently being cast in
Vancouver include Dr. Raquedan, a Filipino nurse, a Luthorcorp
executive, a Guard, a Prisoner, promoter Richter Maddox, "fighters"
Titan, Solara, and Dragon, and Hackett. Source: KryptonSite

General Spoilers:
* 01/16 - Even though Oliver Queen departs in [the January 18 episode],
executive producer Al Gough has told TV Guide that he "may pop up in the
last couple of episodes." Source: KryptonSite
* 12/07 - Alfred Ghough reveals: [Jonathan Kent will probably not appear
again.] We may bring [Greene Arrow] back... we sort of have an arc, and
he may pop up again, but that's going to be determined upon whether or
not Justin gets a pilot, and my guess is he will. So, he's definitely a
character that we can certainly revisit, and if not later this season,
perhaps next season. Ultimately, [Lionel and Martha will not become a
couple], because I think that Martha is too good and pure and sees
Lionel for what he really is, and the question really being - when is
Lionel going to really show his stripes again, which we'll see in the
latter half of the season. [If we get a 7th season,] we'll just keep
moving [Clark's] journey towards Superman further and introduce other DC
comic characters. Source: BuddyTV
* 11/15 - Fans are going to feel as put off as Chloe when she finds out
that Jimmy and Lois struck up a secret deal to work together on exposing
the Green Arrow. She'll also get to lay into Clark after he gets snippy
with her for keeping Lana's little secret. Turns out Miss Sullivan will
only take so much from a fella she's been protecting all these years.

formally introduces Green Arrow in a big way.
UPDATED 8/2/06: There is a scientist in this episode named Dr. Groll who
is helping Lex figure out the aspects of a mysterious black box.
- Dr. Groll doesn't trust Lana, and he initiates a plot to see how loyal
she is to Lex.
- Lois writes an article for the Inquisitor about the failings of a
company called Safetec. A Safetec security officer named Milo furiously
hires a thug to kidnap and interrogate her.

Written By: Steven S. DeKnight
Guest Stars: Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Lucas Grabeel
(Young Lex)
UPDATED 10/6/06: Apparently this is now the fifth episode of the new
season.
UPDATED 9/7/06: Lucas Grabeel will be playing Young Lex.
UPDATED 8/25/06: The 10-year high school reunion of Lex Luthor and
Oliver Queen is what reunites the two characters.
- When Lex and Oliver were 15, Oliver and his rich pals liked to torment
Lex and Duncan, Lex's only friend who was a "greasy haired comic book
geek." (Hey, we don't write this stuff!)
- Lex and Duncan hung out until Lex tries to find a way to try and
blackmail Ollie from further harrassment. Duncan freaks out about this
and Lex ends up beating him up. Crushed, Duncan runs away and ends up
falling off of the school roof.
- Now, years later, Duncan is attending the reunion party in a
vegetative state, wheelchair bound. Oh, and someone named Lionel Luthor
has doctors experimenting on him....
-Lex's date to the reunion is Lana. Oliver takes Lois.

UPDATED 8/22/06: Casting directors are looking for two actors to play
the 15 year old versions of Lex Luthor and Oliver Queen. Requirements
are "resemblance to Michael Rosenbaum and Justin Hartley," and instruct
that the Lex Luthor actor must be willing to shave his head, as a bald
cap will not be used. The young Oliver Queen must be "tall, blond, and
handsome."
(Thanks to Miss Info!)
UPDATED 8/15/06: So who's reuniting in "Reunion?" No, it's not the
return of Pete Ross... and nope, it's not gonna be a Clark & Lana
reunion either... the "reunion" in question for this episode is a
reunion between Lex Luthor and Oliver Queen, and the show has flashbacks
to their days in boarding school.

Guest Stars: Pascale Hutton (Raya), Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen), Bow Wow
UPDATED 9/29/06: The role of Raya was going to be re-cast for the
episode, but we are now hearing that Pascale Hutton, who played Raya in
"Zod," is available after all. It was assumed that scheduling conflicts
would get in the way due to Hutton being cast on the new ABC series
Traveler.
UPDATED 9/5/06: Raya appears escaped from the Phantom Zone, and she
exhibits some Kryptonian super-powers!

Episode #6-7: "Rage"
Air Date: November 9, 2006
Written By: Todd Slavkin & Darren Swimmer
Guest Stars: Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow)
UPDATED 10/4/06: Some parts of this story revolve around the
Thanksgiving holiday, which makes us pretty sure the episode will be
airing in November.
- Oliver Queen is behaving very erratically in this story. Oliver is
still involved with Lois Lane at this time.
- Lex is involved with a new experiment involving some patients at a
halfway house, but Oliver Queen (a.k.a. Green Arrow) is on to him.
(Thanks to T.F.!)
UPDATED 9/20/06: This episode's title was first revealed in development
to be "Indestructible," but it has changed.
- Roles being cast for "Rage" include Vladimir (a "Russian Man"), some
"punks" (including one with a nose ring), a neurologist, Dr. Pamela
Black, and a driver.

UPDATED 9/20/06: From the column of TV Guide's Mike Ausiello: Tori
Spelling will be playing the Daily Planet's new gossip reporter, who has
the ability to turn herself into water. "She'll be exposing the very big
secrets that will be driving the second half of the season, Alfred Gough
told Ausiello, "and I can't tell you any of them. Zero."
Episode #6-11: "Justice"
Air Date: January or February 2007
Written & Directed By: Steve DeKnight (hooray, he gets a big event
instead of being stuck with an "exploding baby" episode!)
Guest Stars: Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Alan Ritchson
(Arthur "AC" Curry/Aquaman), Kyle Gallner (Bart Allen/The Flash), Lee
Thompson Young (Victor Stone/Cyborg)
UPDATED 9/20/06: From the column of TV Guide's Mike Ausiello, some
quotes from Alfred Gough: "Episode 11, which is our second episode back
in January, is going to be called 'Justice,' and it'll basically be our
first look at the Justice League. We're gonna have Green Arrow, Cyborg,
Flash and Aquaman, played by Alan Ritchson, who is coming back. That's
gonna be our first Justice League episode." And where exactly is Wonder
Woman? "Ask Joel Silver," Gough grumbles. "He's the producer; he
controls the movie rights. We'd do a whole Wonder Woman series if we had
Wonder Woman, but Joss Whedon is writing the movie, so we can't have
her."
