The 36th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards nominations were announced on Thursday, May 14. The award show will be hosted by Vanessa Williams on the CW network on Sunday, August 30, 2009, at 8 p.m., from the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

Marcy Rylan (Lizzie) is expecting her first child with boyfriend Don Money in October.

On April 1, CBS announced the cancellation of Guiding Light after 57 years on television and 15 years on NBC radio where it began as a 15-minute serial. Procter & Gamble Productions says it isn't giving up on the story and will explore different ways to keep it going after the last air date of Friday, September 18. More news on Soap Opera Digest
