Created by Darren Star, who also created "Sex and the City" and worked on "Melrose Place" and other soaps, "Grosse Pointe" was a tongue-in-cheek soap opera that took place on the set of a TV series much like "Beverly Hills 90210".  It was a funny show with great characters, but sadly it did not last long.
