SOD 1/26/10
Jake is Trevor’s Father! The Martins receive big news this week: Jake is
Trevor’s biological father. At the start of the week, Angie definitively
determines that there’s no way David could have sired the baby. Angie tests JR
and Jake’s DNA and delivers the news to Amanda and Jake that the boy is indeed
theirs. Unfortunately, the good times stop rolling when David shows up
unexpectedly. Amanda asks what David is doing there and he says that he is
there to apologize, but Jake punches David’s lights out. Amanda stops Jake
before he really hurts David. Post-scuffle, Amanda urges Jake not to pursue his
vendetta against David and focus on their family.

Julia Barr returns on 2/23 as Brooke English.
George McDaniel leaves the show as James Beardsley, Madison’s abusive father.
Adam throws Annie for a loop on 1/25. Greenlee dreams of being with Ryan on
1/26.
What Will Happen: Brot and Natalia stumble upon a mystery. David tells
Greenlee that he can never go back to Pine Valley. Adam throws his family for a
loop.
SOW 1/26/10
Julia Barr returned as Brooke for the show’s 40th Anniversary episodes and
will be sticking around for another three months.
Amanda and Jake Learn that He is Trevor’s Father! The Martins get the news
they have been hoping for this week when DNA testing proves that Jake is
Trevor’s biological dad. Shortly after Jake and JR get DNA testing, Angie
determines that Jake is indeed the daddy.
This Week: Erica admits to Ryan that her life at Fusion feels meaningless
after her trip to Africa. Madison does a favor for Randi. Annie fears for her
future when Adam meets with Barry to discuss his estate. Marissa can’t forgive
David after he comes clean. Erica tells Opal that she wants to keep her
relationship with Ryan private.
Can’t Miss: Liza and Tad finally make love on 1/22.
Next Week: someone’s up to no good at Tad’s house. Jesse grows suspicious of
Damon. Colby makes a surprising discovery. Greenlee’s on a mission to find
Ryan.
Cady McClain will be reprising her role as Dixie Martin in early March in
a story with Tad. After stints from 1988-1996, 1998-2002, and 2005-2007,
Dixie was murdered by a serial killer. Cady returned in ghost form in May
2008.
Julia Barr (61) brings Brooke back to Pine Valley on February 23 through "a
great story arc" though producers at AMC won’t state for how long. She suddenly
disappeared 3 years ago after refusing to drop down to “recurring” status.
Apparently, Brooke has been
living in China with adopted daughter Laura.
SOD 1/19
Love Hurts for Adam and Annie! Annie wins joint custody of Emma this
week, but seems poised to lose her husband when Adam is diagnosed with
congestive heart failure. Ryan has to physically hand Emma over to Annie
(the child will live with Annie and Adam one week, then with Ryan the next)
and it’s really tricky for him. While Ryan takes his mind off his troubles
by getting passionate with Erica, a scantily clad Annie shows how grateful
she is to Adam for his help in getting Emma back by performing a sexy dance
for him in the Chandler parlor. Scott spies Annie from the terrace and when
he manages to pry his eyes away, he, Colby and Liza hear Annie scream and
rush in to find Adam collapsed. At the hospital, Adam is diagnosed with
congestive heart failure, a potentially fatal condition. He informs his
family that he is getting a pacemaker and urges them to make peace with one
another – but that may be more easily said than done. Next, Adam makes out
a new will, with stipulations.

Alexander, Benjamin and Caleb Eckstein (Spike Lavery), Alexa Gerasimovich
(Kathy Martin), Lucy Merriam (Emma Lavery), David and Damian Paseler (Baby
Stuart), Rory and Declan McTigue (Little Adam Chandler), Aiden and Connor
Sharpe (Trevor Dillon), Rachel and Jessica Slomovitz (Jenny Martin) have all
taped their last episodes with the show, all the roles will be recast with
California girls and boys.
Greenlee faces a difficult decision on 1/18. David tries to make amends
for his misdeeds on 1/19, while Amanda and Jake get the news they have been
hoping for.
What Will Happen: Greenlee wants to know what David’s really up to.
Adam’s days could be numbered. Amanda begins to question Trevor’s
paternity.

Jill Larson is back on contract as Opal, since the show is moving to Los
Angeles.
This Week: Colby is upset about Annie winning shared custody and decides
to fight it in her own way. Jake tells Amanda that he wants their
relationship back on track. Scott calls Colby out when he finds her being
sweet to Emma and Annie. Madison catches Ryan and Erica in a kiss.
Greenlee discovers that David has been lying to all of Pine Valley.
Can’t Miss: Scott, Liza and Colby find Adam collapsed on the floor on
1/14.
Next Week: Greenlee faces a difficult decision. Adam hides how serious
his condition is. David tries to make amends for his misdeeds. Tad kisses

Walt Willey Back! Walt Willey, whose Jack jetted off to Europe in August
and hasn’t been seen on-screen since, returns this week and will first air
on 1/5 during the 40th anniversary episode. Jack and Erica fans will see
their favorite duo happy again – at least in Greenlee’s dream sequence on
1/6.

Julia Barr (Brooke English), Eva La Rue (Maria Santos Grey), Laurence Lau
(Greg Nelson), Taylor Miller (Nina Warner), James Mitchell (Palmer

Montgomery) will all return for the anniversary episode on 1/5.
Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa return on 1/4 and 1/5 as Mateo and Hayley

Slater, when they appear in Greenlee’s fantasy.
Ray MacDonnell chose to retire and will last air this week as Joe Martin.
Lee Meriwether is leaving the show as Ruth Martin, who moves to Florida

Tad and Liza Heat Up! This week, Tad and Liza share a steamy buss that
may portend a romantic future for the twosome, who first hit the sheets in
1983. Initially, Liza is upset with Tad because David has had a restraining
order issued against them, barring the duo from continuing to dig into his
mysterious activities in Gloucester. But Liza can’t stay mad for long.
Ryan and Annie learn Emma’s fate when the outcome of her custody trial is
revealed on 1/11. Amanda makes a life-changing discovery on 1/12.
What Will Happen: Erica and Ryan take their relationship to the next
level. Greenlee demands the truth from David. Annie and Ryan face off in
court.

This Week: Annie sees Hayley’s documentary as an opportunity. Angie,
Frankie and Jesse go to the courthouse to support Madison. David explains
to Greenlee what happened in Pine Valley while she was in a coma. A
restraining order is issued against Tad and Liza. JR wants to postpone
chemotherapy to take a trip with Marissa.
Can’t Miss: Annie and Ryan plead their cases for custody of Emma on 1/8.

Larson Back on Contract! Jill Larson received a major gift for her 20th
anniversary in Pine Valley: a brand-new contract, which will ensure that she
will remain with the show as Opal following its imminent relocation to Los
Angeles.

Thorsten Kaye last airs on 12/29 as Zach Slater.
Alicia Minshew kicks off her maternity leave on 12/29 when her character
Kendall leaves town with Zach!
Meredith Patterson (Francesca) will not continue on the show when it
moves to the West Coast.
Chrishell Stause (Amanda) will be appearing on a recurring basis once the
show moves to LA.
The End of “Zen”! Kendall and Zach have a very merry, if belated,
Christmas celebration this week – and then decide to leave town
indefinitely. And so, after one last, tender Kendall/Zach love scene, one
final, heartwarming rapprochement between Kendall and Erica, and a melting
of the ice between Zach and Ryan (who even allows the Slaters to take Spike
on their travels), the couple says goodbye to Pine Valley. It’s a happy
ending, but not a permanent one because Kendall will be back (following
Alicia Minshew’s maternity leave), but Zach will not (Thorsten Kaye last
airs in the role on 12/29).
Mateo and Hayley return to Pine Valley on 1/4. Pine Valley’s leading
citizens reveal what their town means to them on 1/5, while familiar faces:
including Bianca, Maria, Palmer and Lily return to share their memories.
**2010 Preview** Ryan and Erica take their relationship to the next
level. David has been taking care of Greenlee and once she gets better, she
sets out to return to Pine Valley to find Ryan. Jackson will return! Tad
and Liza rekindle their relationship, but she becomes jealous of his
co-parental relationship with Krystal. Adam and Annie renew their vows,
with the arrival of surprise wedding guests. Adam will have a medical
crisis that makes him realize his mortality, leading him to rewrite his
will, with stipulations that affect all members of his family. The
paternity of Amanda’s baby is finally revealed!! Jake and Amanda are back
together and will again fear that David is going to interfere in their
lives. Madison gets a job at Fusion and will compete with Randi. Angie and
Jesse face marital challenges, but their children work to put them back on
track. Natalia and Brot will bond as their friendship continues to grow.
JR is still ill with cancer and Marissa continues to support him. Colby
finally learns that JR is sick.
What Will Happen: David has surprising news for Greenlee. Tad is
determined to get the goods on David. Erica thinks that Adam is up to no
good.
SOW 1/5/10
Zach and Kendall decide to take the boys and leave town this week, which
means viewers have seen the last of Thorsten Kaye (Zach). Alicia Minshew’s
Kendall will return after the actress’ extended maternity leave.
Greenlee Wakes Up As Zach and Kendall Take Off! The mystery surrounding
Greenlee’s return from the not-so-dead deepens this week, just as the show
says goodbye to supercouple Kendall and Zach. At the beginning of the week,
David tells Nurse Gayle to take Greenlee off the drugs that are inducing her
coma, and reveals how he found Greenlee after she was run off the road by
Kendall. Unbeknownst to David, Tad has made his way to Gloucester to snoop
on David – but David intercepts Tad and has him arrested. Tad summons Liza
to get him out of jail. They return to Pine Valley after being stone-walled
by Nurse Gayle. Tad promises Jake that he will get to the bottom of David’s
mysterious trips to Massachusetts. Meanwhile, Kendall and Zach return to
town as a reunited front and celebrate a belated Christmas with their boys.
After Erica issues a heartfelt apology to Kendall for not realizing that she
was in trouble in Los Angeles, Zach and Ryan mend fences too! Then the
Slaters stun Erica and Ryan with the news that they have decided to leave
town indefinitely. They realize that they need family time to get
themselves back on track and Ryan gives his blessing for them to take
Spike. But in Gloucester, more trouble is brewing: Greenlee finally wakes
up, and when she does, she thinks it is still her wedding day to Ryan – the
day of her accident. While withholding many pertinent details, David breaks
the news that she has been comatose for months and Ryan thinks she is dead.
This Week: Kendall and Zach celebrate being home with their family. Tad
persuades Jake to repair his relationship with Amanda. Liza prepares Ryan
for the fact that he may lose Emma. David has Tad arrested and Tad turns to
Liza for help.
12/31: Rebroadcast of the 5/28 episode, in which all of Pine Valley
attends Stuart’s funeral.
1/1: Preempted.

Greenlee’s Back! While the details of Greenlee’s resurfacing are being
closely guarded, viewers will catch their first glimpse of Rebecca Budig’s
not-so-dead alter ego on 12/23. This week, Ryan stumbles upon Greenlee’s
final DVD message to him and thinking it is a Christmas movie, turns it on.
Greenlee’s taped message urging him to move on with his life has a major
impact on Ryan: He goes to see Erica and tells her that he wants to be with
her.
Anna Koonin returns on 12/23 as Nurse Gayle Walker, in Gloucester-based
scenes.
James Mitchell will return for the 40th Anniversary episodes on January 4
and 5.
Malachy McCourt appears on 12/23 as Father Clarence, in the dreams of
Zach and Kendall.
Lorenzo Pisoni ends his run as DA Andrew Willis this week, when he dies
after Liza confronts him with incriminating pictures.
Finn Wittrock has been placed on contract as Damon, Bailey’s baby daddy.
Erica warns Ryan not to give in to Annie’s demands on 12/28. Kendall and
Zach realize that it is time to focus on healing their relationship and
their family on 12/29.
What Will Happen: Kendall and Zach count their blessings. Ryan’s ready
to move on with Erica. David learns that his mystery patient’s condition
has taken a turn.

Both Ryan and viewers will get their first sighting of Rebecca Budig’s
Greenlee this week – but not necessarily in the flesh!
James Mitchell’s Palmer will return for the show’s 40th anniversary
episodes on 1/4/2010 and 1/5/2010.
Chrishell Stause (Amanda) has confirmed on 12/8 that she will be staying
on the show when it moves across the country.
This Week: Kendall talks Zach out of killing Aidan. James warns Jesse
that he’ll destroy him if he pursues the case against James. Nurse Gayle
contacts David and tells him that there has been a change.

Annie Goes Free! Annie proves that she’s got a touch of Perry Mason in
her this week when, after firing Liza as her attorney in favor of defending
herself, she gets acquitted – with a major assist from Adam. At the start
of the week, Annie makes the decision to rely on her own counsel. After
being released from the hospital, Annie’s trial gets underway. Annie
interviews the witnesses as they testify, and then it is her turn to take
the stand. But it’s Adam’s turn under oath that gets Annie acquitted: He
perjures himself to clear his wife’s name. Post-acquittal, the next item on
Annie’s agenda quickly becomes clear: Emma.
Ratings for 11/16: 1.7
Malachy McCourt returns as Father Clarence and will interact with Kendall
and Zach.
BethAnn Bonner’s stint as Kat comes to an end on 12/21.
Daniel Kennedy’s last appearance as Pete Cortlandt was during the
Halloween episode.

Annie is a Free Woman! Annie discovers that the best offense is a good
self-defense this week, when she serves as her own lawyer and, with a little
help from Adam’s willingness to lie under oath, she goes free! At the start
of the week, Annie is still in the hospital and it is starting to freak her
out. Annie fires Liza and says that she is going to represent herself.
Annie’s trial starts shortly after she’s released from the hospital. It’s
Adam’s turn on the stand that gets Annie acquitted: He perjures himself to
clear his wife’s name.
Madison’s Dark Avenues Come to Light! Madison’s tortured history with
her abusive father, James, comes to light this week, after Erica tells Jesse
how she and Ryan found her wandering dazed and beaten in the street. As it
turns out, the cause is horrible physical abuse that Madison has been
subjected to by her father, James, and her late husband, DA North. James
uses Randi to locate Madison at the Pine Cone motel, where Brot and Frankie
bust in just in time, and Erica orders James to leave Madison alone.
This Week: Aidan continues to spiral out of control. Jesse arrests
Frankie after he assaults Madison’s father. Amanda jumps to David’s defense
when he tries to apologize for all his misdeeds. Zach contacts Erica and
promises that he will bring Kendall home.
Can’t Miss: A bound-and-gagged Kendall manages to place a call to Zach on
12/16.
Next Week: Kendall and Zach’s nightmare reaches an end. JR opens up to
Marissa. Liza faces a tough decision. Jesse’s future could be in
jeopardy.
On Friday, December 11, "The View" celebrates AMC's 40 years on
daytime TV as it bids farewell to New York City. Creator Agnes Nixon relives
past memories and answers questions. Cast members Susan Lucci (Erica), Cameron
Mathison (Ryan), Michael E. Knight (Tad), Vincent Irizarry (David), and Rebecca
Budig (Greenlee) will discuss the move to LA. Also, a special guest will appear
on the Pine Valley set.
Daniel Kennedy will not be making the move to L.A. and has
already finished filming his final scenes as Pete Cortlandt.

Bell Rock!
Headwriter Charles Pratt, Jr. was relieved of his
duties after a big dispute over AMC's 40th anniversary show when he
was told to clean up the storyline mess so the show could celebrate.
Word is that former AMC headwriter Lorraine Broderick will fill in
for now.
The producers of the new Rob Marshall movie "Nine," opening on
December 25, are advertising on all ABC shows by including
references to the musical within each show's dialogue during the
