Liza “Gives Birth!” Liza and Jake’s risky scheme to pass off David and
Amanda’s newborn son as Liza’s own biological offspring kicks into high gear
this week. The faux birth scenes take place in the basement of the Martin house.
While Jake works to keep Amanda from seeing anything that would give away the
ruse, Tad is racing back to the house with the actual infant, which, after a
couple of mishaps, he manages to pass off to Liza. Everything seems to be going
according to plan when Liza and Jake dodge a major bullet: Amanda “meets” the
baby, but doesn’t recognize him as her own newborn. This greatly relieves Liza,
who had been anxious ever since Jake disclosed that Amanda ended up holding her
baby before giving it away. Still, as the week goes on, Amanda confesses to Jake
that she can’t stop thinking about Liza’s baby, whom Liza names Stuart. That
choice of moniker scores Liza major points with Colby, who becomes emotional and
tells her mom that she wants to move in with her and help her raise the baby.
All Tad can see is a nightmare in the making because of Amanda’s increasing
despondency. Tad urges Jake to come clean with his wife, but Jake defends the

Brot And Taylor Split! Taylor and Brot get re-engaged this week, but
quickly realize that marrying would be a mistake. Prior to proposing, Brot
sees her with Tad and she is enjoying herself. The proposal comes out of
them talking about what he saw at ConFusion. He feels obligated and Taylor
accepts out of the same obligation. It doesn’t take long for the couple to
realize that an engagement won’t fix what ails their relationship. They
decide to meet up at ConFusion to celebrate and sure enough, when he walks
in Tad is hanging out with Taylor. But this time, she isn’t so happy. Brot
says that they need to talk. In the end, Taylor and Brot reach the
conclusion that it’s time to go in separate romantic directions.

Liza “Gives Birth”! Liza and Jake’s scheme to pass off Amanda’s newborn
as Liza’s own offspring kicks into high gear this week. After putting her
son up for adoption and convincing David that the baby is dead, Amanda is
showing signs of postpartum depression. David tells Amanda that if the baby
had lived, he might have let her keep it. This bit of news, combined with
the emotions that run high at the memorial service David arranges for the
baby, puts Amanda on the verge of spilling the beans about the child’s true
fate. She remains quiet due to a fast-thinking Liza, who, in an effort to
distract Amanda, feigns going into labor while Tad sneaks off to retrieve
Amanda’s baby. Liza faux-delivers a son, whom she names Stuart. But Amanda
saw her baby before she gave him away, so will she recognize Liza’s son as

they’ve come to the end of their romantic road this week - just after she
accepts his marriage proposal. Last week, when Brot saw Taylor at ConFusion
with Tad, she seemed so happy, but when he brings it up to Taylor, she says
that she is happy with him. That crisis averted, Taylor visits Brot at the
hospital. Brot proposes, because he is feeling obligated, and Taylor accepts
because everyone is looking and she feels the same sense of obligation. Brot
picks up on Taylor’s marked hesitation. When Brot heads to ConFusion later
to celebrate the engagement, he finds Taylor hanging out with Tad again, but
this time she isn’t so happy. Brot says that they need to talk and they

each other through this. Unbeknownst to Amanda, though, Jake is arranging

Annie has to face the music in the courtroom. Liza convinces the court to
put Annie under house arrest and the judge decides that Annie can wear an
ankle bracelet. Adam invites her to move in and Annie is thrilled! JR is
less happy about it and Adam tells him to find alternative accommodations
for himself and Little Adam because Annie can’t be around minors. Adam keeps

Adam to her advantage. And this leaves Aidan the odd man out.

They run off and get married the same day. David does his best to stop the

against her, Zach can testify against her and Zach has most of the
information that could put her away, so Ryan, very nobly, comes up with the
idea to save Kendall. Ryan tells Kendall to marry Zach because if they are
married, Zach can’t be called to testify against her, so they both agree on
it. The quickie ceremony stirs up strong emotion in Kendall. Kendall has

protect Kendall. Alicia Minshew clues us in to the unfolding mystery. Zach
and Kendall are both at the Chandler mansion when the killing occurs.
Kendall went to kill Adam because she thought that Ian was dead. She and
Zach made a pact that if the heart valve killed Ian, they were going to kill
him. Kendall takes off and goes to the mansion, but chickens out. Kendall
panics, drops the gun and runs. As she’s running, she bumps into Ryan. Ryan
thinks that Kendall shot somebody and he is trying to protect her, so he
grabs her and tells her to get out of there. Kendall resists, but Ryan tells
her that Ian is alive. Kendall realizes that she came there for nothing and
Ryan takes her back to the hospital to see her son. While she’s at the

without being able to see Emma. But when Aidan injures himself in a fall,

at the Chandler mansion, where a murder mystery is a brewin’.
Zach goes to bat for Kendall on 5/18. JR makes a surprising discovery on
5/19, while Jesse springs into action.
Death Watch! AMC kills off a key player in a can’t-miss week of deathly
drama. But before the mystery comes the murder - and it’s no secret that
what brings a motley crew of characters to the Chandler mansion on the
fateful night is the desire to see Adam Chandler pay for his various crimes
against Pine Valley humanity. Of course, just because Adam is the target
doesn’t mean that he is the victim, or the only victim, of the nefarious
goings-on at the mansion. There are six guns being tracked through the show
on one day. The wide swath of citizens who go gunning for Adam have an
equally diverse set of motives. And while the identity of the victim and the
murderer are remaining strictly under wraps for now, there is plenty that
can be told. It is another death, or an apparent one, that leads Kendall and
Zach to the scene of the imminent crime. Adam has been pushing this new, and
faulty, heart valve for baby Ian, but the valve malfunctions during surgery.
Afterward, the baby goes into distress and Zach believes that Ian dies in
front of him as he flat-lines. While Angie and Jake are able to revive Ian,
neither parent learns this before setting out for the mansion. Kendall and
Zach make an agreement: “One of us is going to kill Adam.” Their pact brings
Jesse and Ryan into the mansion mix. Another grieving mother, Krystal, is
already there with a gun and very unforgiving. When Krystal walks in, Adam
is standing in the dark with a gun, as if he is expecting someone to come
and attack him. Krystal is temporarily insane and enraged. Enraged also
perfectly describes the states of mind of Tad, JR and David. Midweek, David
finds out that Marissa is his daughter and that Adam was lording that
knowledge over Krystal. David is holding Adam responsible for losing custody
of Little Adam because Adam was blackmailing Krystal. Plus, David is
motivated by good old-fashioned self-preservation because David has been
surreptitiously drugging Adam. JR and Tad’s furies are likewise
multidimensional. JR discovers that his dad granted David time with Little
Adam in order to get the doctor to perform the heart surgery on Ian (at
Erica’s behest). And there are yet more folks lurking in and around the
increasingly crowded house, including a trio of lasses who are referred to
as the case of the muddy high heels. On Friday, when the lights go out at
the Chandler mansion (courtesy of Annie), the lights go out permanently for
one unfortunate soul.
What Will Happen: Annie grows more unhinged. Adam’s enemies want him to
pay for his sins. Jake and Angie work to save Ian’s life.
SOW 5/19/09
Amanda Baker (Babe) returned to tape scenes that air later this month or
early in June.
Murder Is The Case! Pine Valley is rocked this week by a horrific murder
- and while the show isn’t giving away who takes the fatal bullet, the
target is Adam, whose enemies all go gunning for him in the middle of a
thunderstorm. First up are Zach and Kendall, who head to the estate when Ian
flatlines due to the faulty heart valve that Chandler funded. Ryan and Jesse
are hot on their heels. Meanwhile, JR and Tad are seeking out Adam because
they are increasingly convinced that he may have plotted and/or executed
Dixie’s death. JR falls off the wagon when Adam declares that he is leaving
the company to Scott in the event of his death. Krystal is also under the
influence when she shows up at the mansion. By that time, Marissa and David
both know what Adam had been using to blackmail her (the knowledge that
Marissa is Babe’s twin/David and Krystal’s daughter). Krystal has just taken
some of David’s happy pills and is going in and out of moments of
rationality. When Krystal walks in, Adam is standing in the dark with a gun.
There are also three mystery women lurking around the grounds, one of whom
is Erica. Opal is also present, led there by another of her ominous visions.
All told, there are six different guns in play on the fateful night.
She’s supposed to remain on the run ad infitium, but this week, Annie
returns to Pine Valley with a new mission and a new ‘do. Melissa Claire Egan
explains. Annie has been gone for two weeks in the Maldives, hiding out, but
comes back with a vengeance - and with bangs. Annie comes back for Emma. But
first, she has a reunion with her lover, Aidan. Aidan is looking out for
Annie, but she has her own agenda. Aidan convinces Annie that she must go
back and that if she gets caught she will go to jail. Annie says that she
will go back, but first she has to get her passport out of the basement.
They go down to the basement and get into an argument. Aidan falls down the
stairs and injures his shoulder. Annie’s main agenda is to get to Emma, so
after Aidan falls, she ties him up. After she ties up Aidan, she tells him
that she has to get Emma. Emma is at the Chandler mansion, having a
sleepover with Little Adam. Annie goes to the mansion in the middle of the
storm, where everyone is in and out of the house with guns. Annie has her
own gun for protection. Annie accidentally runs into a drunken JR, and they

finds an envelope with Krystal’s name on it in Adam’s safe when he goes
looking for evidence that Adam might have killed Dixie. Krystal stumbles
upon Tad and asks for the envelope. Krystal takes the envelope back to
Wildwind and burns it. Marissa is baffled when she finds the charred remains
of a photo of her, which she leaves for David to find. Later on, Krystal and
Tad are at the yacht club and she confides in him. Marissa deduces the truth
when she pays a visit to Babe’s grave and confronts Krystal after taking
note of Babe’s birth date. Krystal admits that she is Marissa’s biological
mother.

new ammunition to use against Krystal, because this week, she lets the cat
out of the bag, confessing to Tad that Marissa is her daughter. It all
starts when Tad finds a sealed envelope with Krystal’s name on it at the
Chandler mansion. Krystal convinces Tad to hand it over and takes the
envelope to Wildwind, where she promptly burns it. Marissa finds the charred
remains and sees that Krystal burned a picture of her, but doesn’t know why.
Later, Krystal encounters Tad at the yacht club. Krystal tells Tad that
Marissa is David’s other daughter, Babe’s twin, whom she gave up for
adoption. Newly created flashbacks reveal that when Krystal gave birth to
Babe and the doctor reported that another baby was coming, it came as a
shock to the new mom. Krystal’s connection to Marissa’s adoptive family will
also be explained. Early next week, Marissa puts two and two together when
she pays a visit to Babe’s grave and realizes that she shares a birthday
with Krystal’s deceased daughter.
It’s been brewing for months, but this is the week that Amanda and Jake
finally declare their love (and make a little love, as well). Chrishell
Stause shares the happy tidings. Amanda leaves Jake a goodbye note and
leaves town, but when she is at the airport everything that happens makes

Jennifer Bassey returns as Marian!
Who Really Killed Dixie? Alexander Cambias Sr., Zach’s father and Pine
Valley’s most notorious serial killer, the Satin Slayer, returns this week
in shocking fashion - and more than a few lives will be rocked as a result.
Alex makes his comeback by sending a manuscript of his tell-all book to
Ryan. In the tome, he insists that he was responsible for the murders of
Simone and Erin, but not Dixie. Before heading out for a face-to-face
confrontation with Alex, who’s locked up and in a wheelchair, Ryan informs
Tad about Cambias’ claims. Tad updates JR.
