was also in soaps Young Dr. Malone, Our Private World, Somerset, Dallas,
Another World, One Life to Live, Santa Barbara, As the World Turns and
The Bay as well as many movies and TV shows. His role as Lionel in Santa
Barbara is what he was most known for. He was still working until the
end, recently guest-starring on "The Rookie" on ABC.
Former OLTL head writer Michael Malone passed away. He penned some
of the best stories, including Marty's rape and Billy's coming out.

From the March 28 issue of Soap Opera Digest: Julia Montgomery (ex-Sam)
plays a real estate agent for one day on Y&R. She left over 40 years ago
to raise her family, but she shared that Phil Carey (Asa) relied
completely on the teleprompter (all the others memorized their lines),
which she found very boring. She said she would have signed on for more
work if they hadn't paired her with him. She also shared that insight
with Dustin Hoffman when she was in the movie "Tootsie," so the doctor
in the movie relies on the teleprompter, and that's based on her
experience with Phil Carey.

(ex-Starr), Eddie Alderson (ex-Matthew), David Fumero (ex-Cristian),
