On Monday, September 1, ABC is showing repeats of episodes which are said to be defining moments in each soap's current storylines:  "One Life to Live" Episode #10232 (original air date 7/22/08) -- This is the second of the 40th Anniversary episodes and features Viki's emotional reunion with Ben in heaven. Ghost Mel and David ask Dorian to save Viki and she does after David's promise to divorce Addie. Clint has a phone call from Cord and Cristian fights to get to Sarah and save her from the falls.

Congratulations to OLTL for its 4 Creative Arts & Entertainment Daytime Emmy Awards (Achievement in Costume Design, Lighting Direction, and Original Songs: Chemistry and Little Starr) presented in New York City on June 13, 2008, as well as 2 Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series Directing Team and Writing Team presented at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on June 20, 2008. On January 26, 2008, at the Hyatt Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California, the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials was presented to Larry Carpenter for OLTL Episode #9947 which aired on June 6, 2007, when Michael led Nash to complete Antonio's surgery following the bomb blast in the hospital. Mr. Carpenter's Directorial Team consisted of Associate Director Teresa Anne Cicala, Stage Managers Alan P. Needleman and Keith Greer, and Production Associate Anthony Wilkinson. This is Mr. Carpenter's second DGA Award. He won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Daytime Serials for OLTL Episode #8849 in 2003 and was also nominated for that series for Episode #9686 in 2006, Episode #9385 in 2005 and Episode #8655 in 2002. The other directorial nominees were Casey Childs, AMC (Episode #9669), Scott McKinsey, GH (Episode #11228), Ellen Wheeler, GL (Episode #15221), and Christopher Goutman, ATWT (Episode #12971).

Congratulations to OLTL for winning 2 Creative Arts Entertainment Emmy Awards in Set Design and Multiple Camera Editing.  Here are all the winners of the 34th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards presented in Hollywood, California, on Friday, June 15, 2007.

Congrats to "Spring Awakening" star Jonathan Groff on his Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical.  The adorable Groff played Henry in One Life to Live's recently curtailed tale of high-school violence.  See the full list of 2007 nominations and winners.

Kassie Wesley DePaiva (Blair Cramer Manning, OLTL; ex-Chelsea Reardon - GL) released her 3rd CD, "I Want To Love You", nationwide on May 22, 2007. http://www.kassiedepaiva.com/cd3.html  "I Want To Love You" is a collection of catchy bluegrass tunes, recorded in New York with producer David Nichtern that will be available at Wal-Mart, Borders, and Best Buy around the country.
