Notes:
John Glover doesn't appear in
this episode.
Erica Durance is not credited in the opening or the guest credits.
The player that Geoff kills is nicknamed "Coop". On "The OC" Chris
Carmack's character dated Marissa Cooper whose nickname is also "Coop"
Gabe Sullivan is still out of work? Why didn't Lex give him his job
back, or at least have him un-blacklisted?
Among the "Canada-isms," when they were in the streets of Metropolis,
there was a TD Waterhouse bank in the background. Toronto Dominion Bank
doesn't have a branch in Kansas. Also at one point a Canadian postal
truck (easily identified by its red color) drove by going the other
direction.
So in the middle of a crowded parking lot, nobody sees Geoff drag a
limp Lois into his van. Most campuses tend to keep an eye out for stuff
like that.
Clark was afraid a physical might expose his secret. To join a sports
team you have to take a physical...how did Clark take and pass his when
he joined the high school team?
Another "Canada-ism" - the football field used as Metropolis U
stadium is obviously a CFL (Canadian Football League) field. It's 110
yards instead of the normal 100 in the NFL and NCAA. The goalposts are
in the middle of the end zones (which are also bigger here than the NFL
and NCAA size) as opposed to behind. And finally, the goalposts used are
of a pro-league style, as opposed to the college "H" shape.
When Geoff is driving Clark to the stadium through what appears to be
heavy downtown traffic, he spends the entire conversation looking at
Clark and almost never looks in front of him.
Lois is somehow able to visit the hospital room of her "victim," an
individual she supposedly attacked and paralyzed. No hospital or police
would let her near the person she's accused of attacking and there's no
indication she sneaked in.
When Coop dies, none of the monitors he's hooked up to give any kind
of alert even though it's clear they're still on him, registering his
heart beat, etc.
Why would Clark have to pretend to be Geoff to find out where the
truck was. As long as they had the password the operator will tell you
the info. They don't have voice recognition requirements before they
give out info.
Once again, we find Clark one week after a death of a girl he
supposedly loved, and he shows no signs of mourning.
Geoff Johns is the name of a writer for DC Comics. He currently
writes Flash, Green Lantern, JSA and many other comic books.
The Metropolis Bulldogs' football dome featured in this episode is
the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Also, as
would make sense, the skyline featuring the dome is that of Minneapolis.
