Mad About You Biography

Maui

Maui plays the part of "Murray" on "Mad About You." He is a Border Collie mix, the offspring of two dogs who were rescued from the Castaic Animal Shelter. They are also animal stars. Born in 1988, Maui now resides in Castaic, California at Boone's Animals For Hollywood where he has his own room in a beautiful, Spanish-style house.

Maui's first break came when he was offered a job doubling for his mother in the movie "Bingo." He then spent some time doing various commercials until he landed the part on "Mad About You." He now receives lots of fan mail and is recognized most everywhere he goes. He has graced the cover of "T.V. Guide" and was awarded Honorary Canine Ambassador by the American Kennel Club. "Mad About You" won a Genesis award for a story written about Maui's character, Murray. His most recent honor was to have been voted favorite canine by T.V. Guide's readers.

Maui participates in many fundraisers for such causes as AIDS and cancer research. He also makes many personal appearances for such groups as the American Humane Society and the A.S.P.C.A.
