MOST OF THE PAGES ARE NOT WORKING YET!
In the new time line, Peter is gone, but he keeps appearing now and
then, especially to Walter, who is being driven crazier than usual by
the man he keeps seeing in the reflections of the TV, mirror, etc.
Walter is not the same man he is without Peter. He is afraid of
leaving his lab and sleeps there on a couch sofa, with a guard. Astrid
and Olivia help him more than they used to.
Lincoln and Olivia don't remember meeting in this world. Lincoln is
more of a real FBI agent, and his partner gets killed in the first
episode. Olivia tries to keep him out of it, but he insists on working
on the investigation. Olivia ends up partnering up with him and he
learns about not only Fringe but the other universe.
In the first episode, "Neither Here Nor There", a translucent man is
murdering people and stealing elements from their blood, and injecting
them into himself. He has a partner, too. They are some form of human
shape-shifters. Broyles asks the other world's Olivia to look into it,
since it was Walternate that came up with the other shape shifters.
Olivia does not trust Fauxlivia, and Walter hates Walternate.
Fauxlivia learns about Olivia's childhood abuse from her stepfather
in the second episode.
The other world's Broyles is not dead in the new time line. We can
tell that something important is missing from Olivia's and Walter's
lives (Peter, of course).
The Observers appear in the first episode and plan to get rid of
Peter once and for all, but the one who is supposed to do it loses
heart--it looks like he can't do that to poor Walter.
In the second episode, which is very appropriate for Halloween since
it is creepy and spooky, a serial killer is finding people with happy
lives, hooking them up to his brain, and asking them about the happiest
times in their lives. He is in the alternate universe, and their
Fringe Division asks ours for help in finding him before he kills again
(he's killed 23 people). In this universe, the same guy is college
professor whose specialty is serial killers. They sedate him and take
him to the killer's house so he can help them find out where he went. He
figures out that this is his house in an alternate world (well, he
figures out some of it and Fringe fills him in on the rest). Our Olivia
and Fauxlivia have to work together on this case, and our Olivia works
with ALT Lincoln and the rest of the crew. The professor tells Olivia
that he was abused by his father, and he has the same darkness as the
killer, but a kind woman named Marjorie showed him how to control his
darker impulses.
The professor escapes and finds the killer because he thinks that he
can change the killer to be like him. Unfortunately, that doesn't work.
The killer hooks himself up to his brain. Both Olivias and Lincoln find
them. The killer is upset because, having seen the professor's memories,
he now has remorse and regret. He is upset about what he did to those
people, so he shoots himself before Olivia can stop him.
Back in our world, the professor is recovered. He has no memories of
what happened, nor of Marjorie...Olivia is worried, so she talks to him.
He doesn't remember Marjorie, but he remembers what she taught him about
living in the light.
