Take Two: ABC’s Crime Drama ‘Take Two,’ Starring
Rachel Bilson and Eddie Cibrian,
Premieres Thursday, June 21 From
‘Castle’ Creators and Executive Producers Terri
Edda Miller and Andrew W. Marlowe ABC’s “Take
Two,” the network’s newest procedural crime
series starring Rachel Bilson (“Hart of Dixie,”
“Nashville”) and Eddie Cibrian (“CSI: Miami,”
“Rosewood”), is set to premiere THURSDAY, JUNE
21, at 10 p.m. EDT. From Terri Edda Miller
and Andrew W. Marlowe, the creators and
executive producers of ABC’s highly popular
series “Castle,” comes this upbeat detective
series that follows Sam Swift (Rachel Bilson),
the former star of a hit cop series whose epic
breakdown is broadcast to the public and sends
her to rehab. Desperate to restart her career,
she talks her way into shadowing lone-wolf
private investigator Eddie Valetik (Eddie
Cibrian) as research for a potential comeback
role. Though Eddie resents the babysitting gig,
high-spirited Sam uses the skills she learned as
an actor playing a cop and proves herself to be
surprisingly valuable. The cast also includes
Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien and Alice Lee.
Ruben Santiago-Hudson (ex-Roy) is nominated
for a Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play
for "Jitney."
The Tony Awards air June 11 on CBS.
The show has been canceled :(
According to designntrend.com, "Castle"
co-showrunners Terence Paul Winter and Alexi
Hawley are both hopeful that the once hit ABC
series will be renewed for another season.
Many ABC shows were renewed ahead of time last
week (March 3), but not "Castle." ABC may be
waiting to see how it does this Spring.
NATHAN FILLION FANS!!!
From tvshowsondvd.com: Two Guys, a Girl,
and a Pizza Place - SCOOP: Shout! Factory to
Release DVDs of this 90s Sitcom! Ryan
Reynolds starred, and was joined in Season 2 by
Nathan Fillion The popular 90s sitcom that
launched the career of movie star Ryan Reynolds
(The Proposal, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), with
his standout role as "Michael Berg Bergen."
Alongside Richard Ruccolo ("Pete") and Traylor
Howard ("Sharon"), Reynolds plays one of three
college graduates and best friends trying to
come to terms with life after college, battling
newfound responsibilities and failed
relationships along the way. The show added
regular cast members "Johnny" (played by
Firefly's Nathan Fillion) and "Ashley" (Suzanne
Cryer) in the second season, and it went on to
become a brilliant mix of comedy and
drama...with just a spot of insanity! With
Deadpool having passed $600 million worldwide at
the box office (and almost half of that in the
USA alone), it's no surprise that fans of hot
film star Ryan Reynolds are eager to go back to
his acting roots...especially the TV show that
helped him become a Hollywood star! Two Guys, a
Girl, and a Pizza Place is the third-most-wanted
show by our readers that is unreleased on DVD in
North America. The show launched on TV as
"Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place in 1998,
went under that title for two seasons. Then, for
the sitcom's final two seasons, the title was
shortened to just "Two Guys and a Girl." The
first season's cast included David Ogden Stiers
(M*A*S*H), and Tiffani Thiessen (Saved By the
Bell, Beverly Hills 90210, White Collar) had a
recurring role in eight episodes of the show's
run. Other guests over time included Carmen
Electra, Jon Cryer, Anthony Head, Kathy Kinney
(crossing over in a cameo as "Mimi" from The
Drew Carey Show), Fred Willard, Adam Carolla (as
himself), Conchata Ferrell, and the music groups
Blink-182 and Barenaked Ladies, among others.
All four seasons came out overseas about 3-4
years ago, but there have been no DVD releases
at all in the United States, or in Canada. Now
Shout! Factory has given us the scoop that
they've recently licensed the home video rights
from Fox to this in-demand show, and are at last
bringing it to DVD in stores! You'll see it come
out sometime during Summer 2016. A specific date
hasn't been finalized yet, nor is there package
art or any other details so far. Just the
heads-up that this is finally in-the-works! Stay
tuned, of course, and we'll update you as
further developments occur.

“CASTLE” (Season 8) When viewers first met
Richard Castle, a famous mystery novelist, he

she is? “Castle” stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle,
