"Angel" was a brilliant dark saga.  A spin-off from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", "Angel" followed the adventures of a vampire that was cursed with a soul. Regretting his past evil deeds, he fought hard to help save the innocents from demons and other evil forces in Los Angeles.  Angel was assisted by Cordelia (also from "Buffy") and Doyle, a half-demon who would receive visions of evil attacks on the innocent. Later, other heroes followed, such as Wesley, Fred, Gunn, and even another vampire, "Spike".
