Primetime TV Book Reviews
Slipping
into Darkness by Peter Brauner
Review
by Suzanne
This is a great crime-police detective book. It is well-written and the
characters are interesting. Even though this is not technically about
TV, I was asked to review it, so I did. It would make a great TV show or
movie.
What is unique about this story is how the
author shows both the cop's point of view and that of the boy he
arrested, as well. Both want to find the "real killer" eventually, but
how they get there is very interesting. I don't want to spoil too much
here for you because it has many shocks and surprises.
The cop suddenly learns he has a
physical problem that may affect his future, which sends him into a
personal and professional tailspin. The boy is let out of jail after ten
years and has to make his way alone in a harsh world, with only his
lawyer to help him. I would love to say more, but I can't. It's just
that kind of book. Trust me, you will enjoy it if you like crime novels
or mysteries.
You will not want to put it down once you start!
It is a thrill-a-minute ride. I look forward to reading a lot more from
this author. His writing and stories really grab me. Turn off your TV
for a few hours and read it!
