Happier Days: Paramount Television's Classic Sitcoms 1974-1984 (Paperback)
by Marley Brant

 Review by Suzanne

This is not only a great read for any TV fan, it's also a fun resource to have.

This book talks about the many sitcoms that came from Paramount TV in the 70's and early 80's, such as Happy Days, Taxi and Cheers (plus many others), how they developed, how they did in the ratings, etc and puts it all in historical perspective for the world and network TV.  It was hard to put down and I find the writing style very easy to read.

I just wish it were a bigger book and included all of the sitcoms, but then I guess it would have to be multiple volumes.  It's a great read and also I refer to it often in discussions about TV.

Anyone who loves classic TV should love this book.
