Rick
Springfield - The Day After Yesterday This is his new album.
He still has a great voice! He sings some old songs fromt the
60's, 70's and 80's, plus some new songs. I especially like the new one,
"Cry". I really enjoyed his version of "Imagine" as well. Some of
the songs didn't seem like they really needed to be remade (like
"Holding Onto Yesterday", which is a pretty boring song, or "I'm Not in
Love", which has been done to death already), but all in all, it's a
nice mellow album, very enjoyable and should be good listening for
anyone.
All Time Top 100 TV Themes This is a super collection of TV themes!
It is a great set that any TV fan should have. It has tons of
themes from both past and present shows. Give this to your
favorite TV fan this holiday season and they will be very grateful.
Sanctuary Records - Kelly Osbourne's sophomore effort
Sleeping in the
Nothing This ten song CD presents an
intimate look into the mind of the young scion of rock royalty and shows
what makes her tick. Complete with intriguing lyrics and a unique sound,
Sleeping in the Nothing is a well crafted collection of pop mementos that
still packs one hell of a punch (and the Kelly temperament we've all come to
know and love!).
BUY the sound track to the movie
"Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason"! It has great tunes:
some oldies, some remakes, and some new songs. I really enjoy it! It
sets the mood great for the movie, but it's also fun to listen to. It
exposed me to some great new artists that I wasn't that familiar with, too.
The
World of Nat King Cole is a beautiful collection of old favorites by
Cole; this release spans his career and has been remastered beautifully.
This collection marks the 40th anniversary of his passing. Cole had a
great variety TV show in the 1950's, but it couldn't get a sponsor due to
racism. Even though I'm not old enough to have been there when his
music first came out, I was surprised by listening to this collection at
just how many of these songs I knew...and not just the songs, but his
renditions of them! It's a great retro collection.
