What Suzanne Watches

I have DISH Network's "The Hopper", so I record a lot of shows to watch at my leisure (with no commercials!). I can record 16 shows at once and up to 5,000 hours! There are many shows I don't have time to watch regularly, so I plan to watch them later. Also, I have a lot on DVD. Yes, there's always a backlog!

I try to watch most of the new shows at least once; check out our reviews.

This changes often as they cancel shows and bring on new ones.

Best shows I watch: "Legion" (FX), "Sherlock" (PBS), "Real Time with Bill Maher" (HBO), "Gotham" (FOX), "Daredevil" (Netflix), "Bosch" (Amazon),  Jessica Jones" (Netflix), "Luke Cake" (Netflix), "Last Week with John Oliver" (HBO), "The Sinner" (USA Network), "Outcast" (Starz), "Westworld" (HBO), "The Break with Michelle Wolf" (Netflix) and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" (HBO).

Other shows I watch regularly and I'm caught up on: "A.P. Bio" (NBC),  "Burden of Truth" (The CW), "Instinct" (CBS), "The Resident" (FOX), "Dietland" (AMC), "Marvel's Cloak & Dagger" (Freeform), "Will & Grace" (NBC), "The Gifted" (FOX), "Arrow "(The CW), "Supergirl" (The CW), "Supernatural" (The CW), "The Big Bang Theory" (CBS), "Doctor Who" (BBC America), "Family Guy" (FOX), "Elementary" (CBS), "The Flash" (The CW), "Life In Pieces" (CBS), "The 100" (The CW), "The Defenders," "Iron Fist," "D.C.'s Legends of Tomorrow" (The CW) "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" (TBS) "Bold & The Beautiful" (CBS), "Grantchester" (PBS), "The Jim Jefferies Show" (Comedy Central), "Brockmire" (IFC), "The Daily Show" (Comedy Central), "Blind Spot" (NBC), "Suits" (USA), "The Good Place" (NBC), "How to Get Away with Murder" (ABC), "Liar" (Sundance), "Tin Star" (Amazon), "Midnight Texas" (NBC), "Big Little Lies" (HBO),  "Room 104" (HBO), "Better Late Than Never" (NBC), "South Park" (Comedy Central), "McMafia" (AMC), and "Battle of the Network Stars" (ABC -if it returns).

I'm just a little bit behind on "13 Reasons Why" (Netflix), "The Tick" (Amazon), and "Con Man" (Syfy).

Shows that I also like, but I'm very behind on: "Star Trek: Discovery"  (CBS All Access), "The Good Fight" (CBS All Access), "General Hospital," "Stranger Things" (Netflix), "Marvel's Runaways" (HULU), "Archer" (FX),  "The Exorcist" (FOX), "Midnight Diner" (Netflix), "Van Helsing" (Syfy),  "Greenleaf" (OWN) "The Librarians" (TNT), "Queen Sugar" (OWN), "Humans" (AMC), "Fargo" (FX), "The Originals" (The CW), "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." (ABC), "Outlander" (Starz), "Mr. Robot" (USA), "Twin Peaks" (Showtime), "Lucifer (FOX)," "The X-Files (FOX)," "The Magicians (Syfy)," "The Expanse (Syfy)," "Bull" (CBS),  "Younger" (TVLAND), "Mr. Mercedes" (Audience), "Travelers" (Netflix), "Beyond" (Freeform), "Mary Kills People" (Lifetime), "Victoria" (PBS), "Castlevania" (Netflix), "The Durrells on Corfu" (PBS), "Top of the Lake" (Sundance), and "The Young and The Restless" (CBS), "12 Monkeys" (Syfy), "The Americans" (FX), and "The Sinner" (USA), mentioned above.

Years ago, I decided to stop watching shows that are kind of boring, that I watched out of habit, and to not worry about the shows I'm way behind on. Life is too short to watch so much mediocre TV and stress about the shows I don't have time to watch. I'm concentrating on the shows I really really love (mostly superhero/scifi) and watching the DVD's that the networks send me to review, and that's it! But it's hard to do that because they keep coming out with more and more great shows that I enjoy.

I only like fiction shows. I rarely watch reality shows, game shows, or talk shows. I do watch some of the political talk show comedies like "The Daily Show," but only because they're funny.
