Primetime Show Reviews

"Harry Loves Lisa"
season premiere review by Suzanne
Premieres 10/6 Wednesdays 10/9 c on TVLAND
I don't watch reality shows except when I have to review them
for the site. They are generally boring to me. I like scripted shows and don't
want to watch a bunch of bad actors pretending to be "real", or compete against
each other in game shows, or talk about themselves endlessly. I don't usually
want to see B-list celebrities in their supposedly "real" lives, either. I watch
a lot of TV, so I limit myself to fictional shows.
I have seen a few reality shows that I do like and would watch
if I had the time. This is one of them. They sent me the first episode and
it was very fun. I like the actors already, so that helps. She was great
as Billie on Days of Our Lives, and he was gorgeous back on L.A. Law, which I
watched in its heyday. And they were both very good on Veronica Mars (especially
him). He was also very good on last year's "Harper's Island".
They are both very likable on this show, and it is great to see
their lives from their point of view (or at least, what they are letting us
see). Since I can't be a rich or famous TV star, this is the next best thing.
But even more than that, they are entertaining. You want to root for them and
their family.
He is trying to get back into acting, even though he's gotten
older, and part of the show is about us watching him do that, and how the family
cheers him on.
If you like reality shows, or even if you don't, you should
check this out because it's worth watching. I hope it is a big hit and revives
both of their careers.
