Random Thoughts, Questions, & Ideas

OBSERVATIONS:
I saw Susan Lucci on Jay Leno Friday night. They squeezed her in during the
last few minutes of the show. I think that she was originally booked way before
the news of the cancellation to promote her new book. She never got around to it
as Jay was interested in getting her take on the show’s cancellation. She
explained she was told like the rest of the cast and was really taken by
surprise. Even now she is still not publicly bad mouthing ABC. I give her a lot
of credit for that. Jay asked her what about the fans writing to the network, and
she seemed to me to waiver on that question, like while the fans were all lit up
about the cancellation, that we were not doing anything about it or not enough.
As someone who took time to go to Monday’s rally in NYC, regardless of the low
turnout, I think the fans of both shows have been trying to do everything they
can to save the shows. I, along with many others, have contacted the networks,
the sponsors, and reached out to other soap fans to try and do whatever I can
do to salvage these shows. I hope that the people employed by
both these shows appreciate the effort their fans have been undertaking.
MOVING ON:
Greenlee & Ryan would be married regardless of minister, as you have to get a
marriage certificate from the city/state for the marriage to be legally
recognized. As for spiritually married that is a whole other case.
Ricky is getting especially creepy to watch. I guess that gives credit to the
actor playing him, but I find his scenes with Kendall very uncomfortable to
watch. I feel almost like taking a shower after seeing him touch Alicia.
I love how Ryan always dumps his children except when they are kidnapped. He
never spends any time with Spike and Emma, who is having a very rough time right
now. You would think he would put her first and let his “paid” experts watch over
Kendall.
Would it be that bad for Emma to see Annie? I also don’t understand why Annie
would be that vindictive against Greenlee. It seems her anger before she went
over the deep end was directed at Marissa not Greenlee.
I loved Maya with Colby and then Asher telling Colby she was a snob.
I don’t find this storyline pairing Marissa and Bianca believable. Once again
instead of bringing in an openly gay woman for Bianca to have a relationship
with, they keep putting her with women that are not convinced of their own
sexuality. Are we to believe that Marissa and Bianca’s sudden friendship will
turn Marissa gay?
I have to admit that I am extremely curious as to who has Erica? I wonder like
in some of the horror movies, is the actor/character being kept hidden from the
cast as well? That would be especially good. The speculation on who it is has
been fascinating to read about. I myself go back and forth with my ideas. This
has turned out to be one of the better mysteries AMC has had in a long time.
Which only goes to prove that with the right people in charge, AMC can be at the
top of its game.
Well, that’s about all for now. Have a great week.
I would love to hear from any of my readers.
