Random Thoughts, Questions, & Ideas

Let me start out by saying IMHO when AMC is good, it is very good! More about
that later.
The summer before AMC moved to the West Coast I fulfilled a Bucket List
Dreams of going down into NYC (I live only 30 minutes away) to the AMC
Studio and seeing if I could meet any of the actors. Well, I met plenty, but
that is a whole other article.
I love Thorsten Kaye. I loved the character of Zach. I am truly upset
that TPTB and he were not able to work something out to keep him and the
character on the show. The day I went down to the studio, TK was the first
actor I saw. I say saw and not met as I was so blown away that he was
standing there just talking on the phone, and so in awe of him I did not
have the guts to go up to say hello. That is something I regret to this day.
I will say I got my courage up real fast as more actors came to work that
day.
I have mentioned since Zach’s plane accident that Alicia Minshew has done
a fantastic job of portraying her character’s pain. She has broken my heart
several times in the past two weeks in her scenes.
Wednesday’s show featuring Zach’s memorial service shows what AMC can do
when they are working on all 6 cylinders. The heartfelt words from the
actors and their characters about their relationship with Zach and about his
character in general were on point. Even Reverend Torres who I thought never
knowing Zach would come off poorly, hit the mark as well. I cried so much
during the show I had to stop the taping and finish watching it later, that
is how much the show got to me.
On a side note, I thought intersecting Caleb’s story to Asher about his
mother and her death was good as well. I am glad they did not draw the big
secret behind how she died out forever.
I was sorry to hear about Finn Wittrock (Damon) leaving the show.
After all the work they put into his character and his inclusion into one of
the founding family’s of PV, it is a shame to have him written out, because
they want to put Asher and Colby together.
Well, that’s about all for now. Have a great week.
I would love to hear from any of my readers.
