Fun General Hospital Stories!

Carly/Lorenzo Reunion
Chapter 5
by Mary
7/27/06

Coming into his condo, Lorenzo throws his coat over a chair at the table. Flipping on his answering machine, he hears a message from Diego letting him know that he was alright. This relieves Lorenzo’s mind that he has one less person to worry about.

Walking over to the bar, he pours himself a drink. Taking a sip of the martini, he walks toward the bedroom, taking off his tie in the process.

Undressing, he steps into a good hot shower. Feeling the water pour down over his body, it relieves the tension and anxiety of the previous day.

Immediately, his mind goes back to Carly, and how she is. He imagines that she is in the shower there with him, and they are making love.

Wiping the water out of his eyes, he turns off the water, and steps out of the shower. Quickly he gets dressed in a dark blue pair of slacks, and light blue shirt.

Leaving his unfinished martini on the bar, he picks up his car keys, and leaves the condo. He knows that he will have to check on Diego, but right now, his mind is on Carly, and getting back to the hospital.

Once outside on the street he notices that it has stopped raining, and the moon seemed to be trying to peek through the clouds.

In the distance he can see an all night gas station which seemed to still be open. Glancing at his watch, he sees that it is about twenty after two.

Wheeling his Mercedes into a parking place in front of the store, he quickly got out, and hurried into the store.

Upon entering the store, he noticed two teenage boys behind the counter, engrossed in a conversation about the tornado that had just ripped through Port Charles. Giving Lorenzo a nod of their heads, they quietly resumed their conversation.

Going over to the freezer case, he quickly retrieved two ice cold Pepsis, and paid for them.

Within minutes he was pulling his car into a parking space outside of the emergency room at the hospital.

Upon entering the emergency room, he noticed that it had seemed to have quietened down quite a lot since he was here before. Walking up to the reception desk, he requested info about Carly from the young lady behind the desk. The lady informed him that Carly had been moved to a private room on the fourth floor.

Walking quietly down the hall, he soon found himself at an elevator that transported him to the fourth floor.

Upon entering her room, he found that she was awake. She smiled and held out her hand to him. Placing his hand in hers, he sat down by her side. Seeing the smile on her face, he realized how lucky he was to have her back in his life, and he was doing nothing to ruin it this time.

Placing his hand on her face, she slowly turned, and kissed his hand. Rising up, he slowly kissed her on the lips. She drifted slowly off to sleep.

Setting the paper bag on the bedside table, he laid down beside her on the bed, and before long, he too was fast asleep.
