Heading Towards Sweeps

There are some days worth tuning into and other days you just fast-forward
through it all. Apparently there is a new bad guy on the horizon as if the
arrival of Trevor Lansing isn’t enough. We have as always a bad guy lurking
in the shadows waiting to take down Sonny who is the all-powerful mobster. I
suppose the writers are running out of ideas. I mean let's face it, every
sweeps must involve Sonny, Jason, and Carly. I mean God forbid if it should
just involve some of the other characters.
So Guza and company are bringing in some fancy names to try and lure in
viewers. He is also promising the return of Noah/Anna/Robert. We’ll see how
that goes since he does a good job at ruining various characters. So now we
have our big baddie Zacchara or whatever his name is due to air around
sweep time. We have a big rumor of Sonny and Ric’s mother heading to town
and being played by Bea Arthur of Golden Girls fame.
Everyone seems to be preparing for the new baddie so they are all running
around like chickens with their heads cut off. Sonny and Jason are preparing
for battle. Carly and Jax are fretting over the safety of her boys. Trevor
is in town causing trouble and apparently feeding the baddie all kinds of
info while also trying to cause trouble for his ex-lover Kate who happens to
be hooked on Sonny right now. Let's face it, every woman becomes dependant on
Sonny, even those who first appear to be strong. Talk about a slap in the
face to women. Jerry is back to acting all menacing especially with Sam who
he is trying to force into seducing Trevor. I would really like an
explanation on why Jerry is so dark and twisted this time around. I mean I
love! Love! Sebastian Roché who is portraying him and love the fact that
Jerry is such an interesting character, but come on now. What’s his story and
when am I going to get my Jerry/Alexis pairing. Right now he seems to be
torturing Sam and at the same time eyeing her up, which nauseates me.
Nikolas has morphed into a psycho himself. They are saying it's because of
Jerry and the poison storyline, but come on, let's face it. Nikolas is a
Cassadine whose relatives, with the exception of Alexis, were all evil
psychos. It must be in the Cassadine blood or something, because Sam seems to
be well on her way to turning into an evil psycho as well. Alexis luckily
has avoided this so-called curse but has no choice of being around those
two.
Scrubs have ended their relationship for now, and I say good riddance. Robin
wants to settle down and have a baby and who can blame her. She is what like
30 now and has been living with a terrible disease for many years now. Of
course, she wants to settle down but Patrick is the complete opposite. Lately
he has been acting like a major jerk, since the new little nurse Leyla
arrived. Leyla seems to be just as cocky as he is and isn’t afraid of
hitting on someone else’s boyfriend. I disliked the character the moment she
stepped on screen. Now Patrick is flirting with her out in the open and
humiliating Robin right in front of her. In my opinion, Robin had every right
to be angry at finding those two sitting in the apartment looking cozy. If I
had caught my boyfriend with some other girl acting all cozy and then he
proceeds to humiliate me in front of her, I would have kicked his butt and
ripped that chick’s hair out by the roots. Robin was smart to walk away, and
if she is really smart, she will keep on walking and not look back.
Lucky is tempted by Sam who, of course. has started dressing like a hooker in
an attempt to seduce a couple different guys. First she wants Lucky as a means
of revenge against Liz, then she wants Trevor as a means of protecting her
loved ones and getting Jerry off her back, but then again I think she
wouldn’t mind having Jerry too. Talk about wanting it all.
Spinelli is still hung up on Lulu, and I am wondering why? She is a whiny
brat who has ripped the poor guy's heart to shreds, and he still slobbers over
her. Poor Georgie has made it obvious that she likes Spinelli, and I say open
your eyes, boy. Go for the girl who won’t break your heart.
The whole Cooper/Maxie/Logan/Lulu crap just bores the crap out of me. Fast
Forward
The whole Liz and who does she really loves also bores me.
The Quartermaines rallying around Lulu is a disgrace, and I am wondering why
she is so special. Of course, asking that question also brings up my other
unanswered question of why Carly is so special and has everyone wanting to
protect her.
I can only hope the show gets a bit more interesting during sweeps as I hear
a rumor, and I hope its right, that Genie Francis is coming back and lets hope
for good. If they are smart, they will keep her on the canvas. Maybe it will
save this sinking ship, since the writers appear to be desperate.
