Ten Things That Lily Snyder Can Be Thankful For

1. That she finally got off the island and into some decent clothes for a
change. The parachute thing was getting really old really fast.
2. That she and Simon weren't any further into what they were doing than they were
when Holden found them.
3. That she has a brand new sister. Lily doesn't see this as a blessing but just think, she can really be in two places at
one time now if she would just work with her instead of brow beating her
to death all the time.
4. That Katie didn't get Holden into the bed instead of Rose. He wouldn't get rid of her as easily as Rose has been to
let go of.
5. That Celia didn't kill her and Simon when she pushed them out of the plane or later with a gun when she came back to the island.
6. That Cooley didn't rape her when he found her on the island. I mean 16
years is a long time folks. I am surprised he didn't just go for the gusto
when he found her instead of trying to court her.
7. That Simon kept her from eating poison berries while they were there. Let's face it, if it
isn't inside and come from a grocery store, Mrs. Snyder has no idea
whether it is safe to eat or not.
8. That a shark didn't eat them while they were out in the Atlantic Ocean.
9. That she can swim.
10. That Lucinda hasn't cut off her allowance and given hers to Rose.
