HAVEN HURTLES TOWARDS A CATACLYSMIC SHOWDOWN IN ITS FINAL EPISODES BEGINNING
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8 ON SYFY
-- William Shatner Joins Series In Recurring Role --
Key mysteries will be solved when Syfy’s long-running supernatural original
series Haven comes to an end in 13 final episodes, beginning Thursday, October 8
at 10/9c.
In the action-packed second half of Season 5, the town of Haven has been cut off
from the rest of the world by a mysterious fog – and hometown heroes Audrey
(Emily Rose), Nathan (Lucas Bryant), Duke (Eric Balfour) and Dwight (Adam
Copeland) are faced with challenges unlike any they’ve experienced before. As
events in Haven sprints towards a cataclysmic showdown, tensions rise,
allegiances shift and – in a harrowing closing chapter – the mystery of
“Croatoan” is finally revealed.
Joining the cast this season is William Shatner, in a recurring role as a
pivotal character with the potential to forever impact the fate of Haven.
The countdown begins with “New World Order,” airing October 8 at 10/9c. In the
episode, Dwight struggles to keep order as Duke’s troubles wreak havoc
throughout town and Audrey and Charlotte (Laura Mennell) join forces to battle a
mysterious fog trapping the residents of Haven within the town borders.
In an opening night double-header, the drama continues at 11/10c in the episode
titled “Power,” as conditions grow increasingly desperate. To calm the terrified
public, Nathan assembles a taskforce on a kamikaze mission to restore power.
Meanwhile, Audrey races against the clock as the bodies stack up.
Episodes will air regularly Thursdays at 10/9c through the December 17 series
finale.
Returning guest stars include fan favorites Kris Lemche as paranormal
investigator Seth Byrne, Steve Lund as the Colorado Kid, and Jay Reso (aka WWE
Superstar Christian) as McHugh, one of Dwight’s childhood friends.
Haven is produced by Entertainment One and Big Motion Pictures in association
with Piller/Segan/Shepherd and airs on Syfy in the US, Showcase in Canada and
internationally on UNI’s multiple Syfy channels. Entertainment One controls the
worldwide distribution rights to the one-hour series.
Haven returns with two back-to-back episodes on Thursday, October 8th at 10pm

Trailer
SPOILERS!!! Don't read if you don't want real spoilers of the first 2
episodes!
When Haven returns, Duke will be fine after expelling Mara's troubles. The town
is turned into chaos when the residents all get new troubles from Duke.
Dwight and the other police try to keep everyone calm, since the troubles are
made worse by strong emotions. Eventually, Dwight resigns as police chief
and the Guard takes over the town. Duke can't handle the guilt of what
he's done, so he leaves town. There's a big fog all around Haven, keeping
them all in, but Duke is now immune to the troubles, so he walks away and
hitches a ride. He learns that no one has ever heard of Haven, ME. He gets
a job in an auto body shop (just like Stefan did last season on "Vampire Diares"!).
His boss is a jerk, so he asks an old friend for help and meets the friend's
daughter. Her father left, owning money, so now she owes people, bad people, who
are coming after her. She knows that her mom had a trouble that helped her steal
things, so she wants Duke's help. Duke wants to give her money, but since Haven
no longer exists to the outside world, his money is stuck in Haven, too. He
doesn't want to help her get her trouble going, but of course, he ends up doing
it, anyway. Her trouble is to be able to pass through solid objects.
Audrey is upset to learn that her mom, Charlotte, has no cure for the troubles,
and worse, she created the barn not to save the troubled people but to kill
them. If Audrey had killed Nathan like they wanted, all of the troubled people
would have died. Charlotte wants to take Audrey back to their own world, but
Audrey says she's staying in Haven. That's her home, and she can't abandon them
when they need her. Charlotte can't leave, anyway, as it turns out (I forget
why, something to do with the thinnies). The police station is destroyed by a
trouble man that sets off earthquakes.
The troubles grow worse, and the Guard is forced to shelter everyone in the
school. People are dying in the dark (something rips them apart), so everyone is
issued flashlights, and batteries are rationed. Vince and Gloria try to get Dave
to have another flashback, so Gloria gives him strong tequila. He remembers
seeing a man attacked by a serial killer. They find the man, lying in the woods.
There are two other victims, including the man who created the fog that's
keeping them all in Haven. Dwight, Vince and Dave keep the serial killer
news quiet so as not to alarm anyone. Audrey finds out and gets annoyed at the
secrets they're keeping from everyone and the way Dwight is handling things.
When the power goes out, Audrey puts together two trouble people - one who makes
light and one who reflects - to save everyone.
When a guy steals batteries, Dwight makes an example out of him by sentencing
him to go out into the dark (where he'll be killed). Nathan chases the man, who
ends up dead in the dark, anyway. Later, we see that Dwight is using a man
who's able to put people to sleep for a long time - anyone who's done something
wrong is put to sleep instead of being cast out into the dark. The
power goes out, so Nathan, an engineer, and trouble woman who can create
electricty, Dave, and Charlotte, travel to the power station. It's dangerous
because there are many dangerous troubled people out there. The engineer
is killed by one of them. Nathan is also looking for some aether because
Charlotte said she could use it to maybe cure the troubles. He knows that
William stored a bunch of it, and he uses this detector thingy to find it.
Dave and Charlotte get the generators going. At first the town blacks out, but
then they get them going again. Dave wonders if he's from the same world as
Charlotte, but she says that he's half-human and half-whatever-they-are.
He confides that he's always attracted to thinnies and wonders if it's become he
wants to go home. Nathan and the woman find the aether, but she's killed.
Audrey is glad to see him when he returns, but the townspeople are upset that
another woman was killed (especially her husband).
William Shatner will guest-star on the show for a multi-episode arc.
