A POEM FOR SWEEPS
to the writers

It's been anticipated, wondered about, and hoped for,
The stories haven't been that good, and thought about what's in store.
We read the scoops, hoping we'll hear some good news,
That our favorite soap will start hopping and get better reviews.
We read message boards, and email lists, and talk to our friends,
But still we know what it all boils down to, in the end.
That even though the storylines get better in November and February,
It all leaves me feeling used and weary.
Why can't the stories be good all year long?
Do they think we're not that bright, because that would be wrong.
Please writers, listen to the fans and take heed.
Write what the fans want and God speed.
