EDWARD KITSIS & ADAM HOROWITZ, creators/executive producers
Edward Kitsis’s & Adam Horowitz’s partnership began in their Introduction to Film class at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. After successfully nabbing a B-minus on their first collaboration, the duo decided to take on Hollywood, and, following graduation, the two moved to Los Angeles to pursue their writing careers. After cutting their teeth on such shows as “Popular” and “Felicity,” they joined the writing staff of “Lost” during its first year. In 2006 they won WGA Awards for their work on the show and, over the course of its six-season run, they earned multiple Emmy, WGA and PGA nominations. For the final two seasons they served as executive producers while simultaneously writing the hit feature film “Tron: Legacy” and creating the Annie Award-nominated animated television series “Tron: Uprising” for Disney XD. After “Lost,” the two immediately began the development process on a pilot that would become their first primetime creation: “Once Upon a Time.” In 2013 they expanded their storytelling universe with ABC’s “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” and, most recently, they co-created the summer camp thriller anthology “Dead of Summer” for Freeform with Ian B. Goldberg.
STEVE PEARLMAN, executive producer
Having been with ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” since its pilot, non-writing executive producer Steve Pearlman oversees production and all creative aspects of the fairy tale drama on location in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the series is filmed. Pearlman’s responsibilities include directing as well as oversight of post-production and the show’s extensive visual effects. He is also executive producing the Freeform series “Dead of Summer.” Pearlman served as executive producer on the ABC series “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” and also spent two seasons executive producing ABC’s cult sci-fi remake “V,” which was also filmed locally in Vancouver.
Pearlman entered the producing world after a successful career as a senior studio executive at Warner Bros. Television, during which time the studio was the No. 1 supplier of series to major broadcast and cable networks. Pearlman came to the studio (then Lorimar-Telepictures) in 1986 after earning an undergraduate degree at UCLA and a master’s in communication management from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Communication. Hired initially as a research analyst, Pearlman concentrated on network television and feature films, and a year into the job was promoted to head the department.
In 1992 Pearlman took on the duty of overseeing Current Programming as senior vice president and head of the department, and in 1997 he assumed responsibility for Drama Development, also as head of that department. In his last position before leaving the studio, Pearlman was executive vice president, Creative Affairs, responsible for drama, comedy and alternative series development, splitting his time between creative oversight of all projects in development and strategic planning and integration with other departments, including Business Affairs, Production and Marketing.
Pearlman left the executive offices in 2004 to formClass IV Productions, an independent production company that was based at Warner Bros. During a four-year stint, he executive-produced four drama pilots and three series.
Following the writers’ strike in 2008, Pearlman spent a year consulting with MHz, LLC, a strategic advisory firm specializing in joint ventures between state-owned entities in China and U.S. investment partners. The project involved a unique joint venture between MHz and China’s CCTV to bring Western content and production expertise to China.
Pearlman was born and raised in Portland, Oregon but currently splits his time between Vancouver, where filming continues on “Once Upon a Time” and “Dead of Summer,” and Los Angeles with his wife and two sons, Brian and Evan.

(Fast Affiliate Live + Same Day Ratings)
ABC Grows to Best-Since-Premiere Numbers on Sunday and is Up Year to Year
“Once Upon a Time” Builds Year to Year for its 8th Straight Telecast this Season
Sunday Night (11/16/14) - ABC Total Viewer and Adult 18-49 Projections
“Once Upon a Time:” Live + 3 = 9.5 million/3.3 rating and Live + 7 = 10.2 million/3.5 rating
ABC Sunday Prime (7:00-11:00 p.m. – 6.3 million and 1.9/4 in AD18-49):
Up against a strong Sunday Night Football contest (Patriots-Colts) on NBC and another high-rated NFL overrun on Fox (Packers-Eagles), ABC dominated its Sunday non-sports competition on CBS by 36% in Adults 18-49 (1.9/5 vs. 1.4/4).
Growing week to week in viewers (+5%) and young adults (+19%), ABC scored 7-week highs for a best-since-premiere performance – since 9/28/14. In addition, the Net grew by double digits from the same night last November (5.6 million and 1.4/4 on 11/17/13) in Total Viewers (+13%) and Adults 18-49 (+36%).
“Once Upon a Time” (8:00-10:00 p.m. – 6.6 million and 2.4/6 in AD18-49):
From 8:00-10:00 p.m. against NBC’s Sunday Night Football, ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” (2.4/6) beat Fox’s NFL-fueled comedies in Adults 18-49 (+4% -- “The Simpsons”/”Brooklyn 9-9”/”Family Guy”/”Bob’s Burgers” = 2.3/6) and towered over CBS’ dramas “Madam Secretary”/”The Good Wife” (+71% - 1.4/4). The show marked ABC’s best young adult rating in the 2-hour slot in 6 weeks – since 10/5/14.
“Once Upon a Time” grew from its year-ago telecast (+26%) for the 8th consecutive week in Adults 18-49 (1.9/5 on 11/17/13) and season to date, the ABC drama is trending 13% ahead of the same point last year.
A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 49% currently, from 48% at the same point in 2013. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.

ABC invites new and devoted “Once Upon a Time” viewers to take another look at this popular fantasy series in the new special, “Once Upon a Time: Storybrooke Has Frozen Over,” which will explore the show in a way that will bring new viewers up to date -- but which current viewers will also find illuminating – in anticipation of the exciting fourth season premiere. The special will take a look at the role that family plays in the show and never giving up on the ones you love, our heroes’ journey from breaking the curse to the ramifications of magic in our world, travelling to Neverland to save Henry from an evil Peter Pan, their battle with The Wicked Witch of the West upon their return, and the upcoming presence of Elsa, the Ice Queen from Arendelle, in Storybrooke. The special features interviews with executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to help tell the story of “Once Upon a Time: Storybrooke Has Frozen Over,” airing SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Welcome to Storybrooke, Maine, a small town that probably won’t show up on your GPS, but it’s a magical place to visit. Reality and myth merged after Emma broke Regina’s curse, which had deprived the fairy tale characters of their memories and trapped them in our modern world. When they finally regained their identities, our heroes were dismayed to discover that they weren’t transported back to Fairy Tale Land. To make matters worse, Rumplestiltskin – aka Mr. Gold – decided to escalate his power struggle with Regina by introducing magic into the town. But this is our world, and magic always has a tendency to yield unfathomable consequences.
After defeating Zelena - the Wicked Witch of the West - Emma and Hook were pulled into her time portal, which brought them back to the Enchanted Forest of the past. When they accidentally thwarted the initial meeting of Snow White and Prince Charming, Emma and Hook had to find a way to fix the timeline and get them together, or risk altering their futures and possibly obliterating Emma and Henry’s existence -- not an easy task to undertake. When Emma was captured by The Evil Queen, she met a female prisoner scheduled to be executed. Upon finding a way to escape, Emma saved the prisoner’s life by taking her along. But Hook believed the woman’s fate was to die and feared that things could be altered by her continued existence. After successfully getting her parents back on track, Emma, Hook and the prisoner found themselves captured by Rumplestiltskin and imprisoned in a room that contained his most unpredictable magic. With no way to escape, Emma discovered that her own magic had returned, and she was able to whisk herself, Hook and the prisoner back to present day Storybrooke. Upon their joyous return, Emma learned that the prisoner was none other than Robin Hood’s wife, Marian, who was presumed dead in the previous timeline. Regina and Robin Hood had begun to fall madly in love with one another, but with Marian’s return, their relationship could be in danger. And, unbeknownst to anyone, Emma and Hook also brought back Elsa.
You never give up on the people you love…
The Storybrooke residents do not know what Elsa has in store for them. Back in the past, in Elsa’s kingdom of Arendelle, we will discover what happened to her, her sister Anna and Kristoff, and how and why Elsa became a prisoner of Rumplestiltskin. And now that Emma has brought back Robin Hood’s wife, Marian, and possibly sparked the end of Regina’s relationship with him, will she return to her old, evil ways and do everything in her power to get even? And newlyweds Belle and Rumplestiltskin continue to be deeply in love with each other. But Rumple is hiding a secret from Belle; one that, if found out, could destroy their happiness – he continues to be the master of the dagger that calls upon him to be the Dark One. Can Emma and Hook commit to one another, and can these two damaged people take their love to the next level? Mary Margaret and David have a new baby, Prince Neal, and are looking forward to raising him into a proud, brave and loving adult. But they are still sad that they were not able to do this with Emma, instead helping her escape the curse when she was first born and not meeting her again until she was 28 years old. Henry is very happy to have both of his mother’s back in Storybrooke. But with biological mom Emma and paternal grandfather Rumplestiltskin’s blood running through his veins, he will be tested by both the light and the darkness. Finally, Will Scarlet (Michael Socha, “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland”), a former member of Robin Hood’s band of Merry Men, has traveled across many lands to make his way to Storybrooke. He finds himself intertwined in the goings-on in town for the first time as his mysterious past pushes him to an unknown future.
As the season continues, new fairy tale characters will be revealed and old acquaintances will be revisited. But not everyone can be trusted.
“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as the Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David Nolan, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O’Donoghue as Hook, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry, Michael Socha as Will Scarlet and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.

E! NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas Are Married! April 13
by Lily Harrison , Melanie Bromley and Marc Malkin Today 7:43 PM PDT
It's official! Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas have tied the knot!
The two Once Upon a Time costars were married today at sunset in an intimate ceremony in front of their close friends and family in the Los Angeles area.
The two first announced that they were engaged back in October of last year after dating for more than a year.
In fact, back in March 2012, a source told E! News that Goodwin (who plays Snow White in the ABC series) and Dallas (who plays Prince Charming) had an "immediate connection when they met" in 2011.
"They were shooting in Canada together," said a source, "and because they were both away from home, they inevitably started to socialize together off the set as well as on—and they got closer as friends."
The insider added, "The relationship has been full-on since the moment it turned romantic. There was no reason to wait and take it slow—they fell in love, and it feels right."
And a baby will soon make three for the newlyweds.
Last November, the good-looking duo announced that they were expecting their first child together.
The proud papa-to-be stopped by Good Morning America to dish about how excited he is for the new addition.
"We just can't wait to meet it," Dallas gushed, adding that they're both "so excited" about becoming parents. Aw!
It looks like it's going to be happily ever after for Snow White and Prince Charming!
