DVD Reviews
This is a very good drama that I loved back
when it was on TV. I'm so glad to have the whole series on
DVD so I can watch them all. Simon Baker is so great and
handsome, and the success of this show led to his doing "The
Mentalist" later on (an even better show).
I grew up in a foster home, so I loved
seeing disadvantaged kids and their stories as the focus of
this show. I really enjoyed seeing Baker as an advocate for
them, too. I know actors like to try different roles, but I
like him best as a good guy. Dabney Colemand was great
as his dad, too. Their relationship is a great part of this
show.
It's a shame it only ran three seasons when
it was so good. This DVD set has all of the episodes, but no
features or extras. That's too bad, especially since the
actors in the show are all still alive. They should have had
interviews and such for us to enjoy.

Description: One
of television’s greatest legal dramas, THE GUARDIAN
returns to DVD for all three of its heart-pounding
seasons. Simon Baker (The Mentalist) stars as Nick
Fallin, a handsome hotshot attorney busted on a drug
charge and ordered to perform 1500 hours of
community service. Just when Nick thought he had
lost everything, he found a true calling to help the
less fortunate. However, making a difference isn’t
always easy. Nick is caught between his father
Burton, (Dabney Coleman) the founder of Pittsburgh’s
legendary law firm Fallin & Associates, and Alvin
Masterson (Alan Rosenberg), who runs the firm where
Nick follows his passion as a child advocate lawyer.
To help him through, Nick leans on his girlfriend
Lulu (Wendy Moniz) and his friend and colleague Jake
(Raphael Sbarge). THE GUARDIAN: THE COMPLETE SERIES
features all 67 episodes from Seasons 1 – 3, now
together in the same place for the very first time.
