Dante Angelo Falconeri
Played by Dominic Zamprogna
Dante is a good guy and a police officer. He grew up in Bensonhurst with his
mom, Olivia. He didn't know until he was well into adulthood that his real father is
Sonny Corinthos, a mobster in Port Charles. He came to town in 2009, working with the
FBI, undercover as Dominic, to get into Sonny's organization and take him down.
Instead, he ended up shot. After he recovered, he learned from his mother that Sonny was his dad.
At first he wanted nothing to do with Sonny, but eventually he has come to
like and admire him, despite his criminal activities. Sonny has tried his best
to get Dante to love him. Dante was very angry with him until Sonny saved
his life when he took a bullet for him 2012. Still, he arrests Sonny whenever it
is needed.
Dante is very close to his mother, despite her lying to him for many years.
He is also very close to his half-brother Michael and watches over him. He tries
to be a good brother to Michael and Kristina, Sonny's other kids.
He also has worked closely many times with Lucky Spencer, another cop, and
Jason, Sonny's right-hand man. His mentor is Ronnie. They worked together in New
York and now do so in Port Charles. Ronnie really hates Sonny and is always
pointing out when he thinks that Dante is getting too close to Sonny or is
having a conflict of interest.
Dante began a relationship with Lulu Spencer. They had many ups and downs in
their relationship but finally got married in 2011. They currently both work at
the Port Charles Police Department. He is a cop, and she does office work there.
However, she also helps him with solving cases.
We learned that Dante also had a past with Brenda Barrett back in New York,
but they were just friends and he protected her after she had been dating
another mobster and had his child.
Dante is about as close to a hero as you can get on the show, especially
since Robert Scorpio is no longer around. He is a good detective and is always
working to put the bad guys behind bars.
