DVD Reviews
Somehow they still find ways to keep this
show exciting, even after 16 seasons. It helps that some of
the characters change every once in a while. This
year, they added Diona Reasonover as forensic scientist
Kasie Hines. Also, we saw the brief return of Ziva.
The episode plots are always thrilling, and
the cast adds lots of humor as well as great charisma.
It's just fun to watch our favorites catch the bad guys (and
sometimes break the rules). There are two other NCIS series,
but this one is my favorite.
I don't watch the show regularly any more,
only because there are just too many shows on the air to
keep up with, and my favorites are superhero/scifi/fantasy
shows. However, I'm glad to get the DVDs so I can watch them
one of these days....it's fun to pull them out every once in
a while.
The DVD would make a good gift for any fan
of drama or cop shows. Christmas is just around the
corner!
There are many features, like always. There
are three behind-the-scenes features, deleted scenes, and
audio commentary. They always do a good job with these CBS
DVD's. They know their fans expect them.

Description:
NCIS (Naval Criminal
Investigative Service) is more than just an action
drama. With liberal doses of humor, it’s a show that
focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing
dynamics of a team forced to work together in
high-stress situations. NCIS
Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, a former Marine
gunnery sergeant whose skills as an investigator are
unmatched, leads this troupe of colorful personalities.
Gibbs, a man of few words, only needs a look to explain
it all. The team includes NCIS
Special Agent Timothy McGee, an MIT graduate with a
brilliance for computers; NCIS
Special Agent Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop, a mysterious
mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and
idealism who specializes in international threat
assessment and global preparation; the charismatic,
unpredictable and resilient NCIS
Special Agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres, who has spent most
of his career on solo undercover assignments; and
NCIS Special Agent Jacqueline
“Jack” Sloane, who built her reputation as the agency’s
premier forensic psychologist and enjoys challenging
Gibbs. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen
submarines, these special agents investigate all crimes
with Navy or Marine Corps ties.
