At the bookstore, Cane is promoting Katherine's charity. Billy arrives, and Cane sneers that he knows about him and Lily. He won't fool her for long. Cane asks if there's anything else he wants to claim from his life. Billy says not unless he gives him a reason. The reporter interviews Cane about the memoirs. He tries to avoid talking about the fights and the husband stealing. Cane affirms that Katherine and Jill loved each other. She questions him about how he felt when his brother seized control of Jabot. Cane is delighted to be free of Jabot; he's satisfied at Chancellor Industries. The interviewer turns her attention to Billy and asks his take on the memoir. He thinks it's great, and his grandmother was an inspiration. He misses her a lot. When asked why he involved himself in the takeover at Jabot, Billy responds that John Abbott founded the company, and it was always meant to be an Abbott family business. Cane did his best, but now they plan to deliver. After the interviews, Billy taunts Cane about bonding with Chloe. Cane asks if life is a joke to him. He wonders if Lily knows the real Billy. Billy assures him she's seen the real him, and she likes it. Cane tells him he's a self-centered jerk, saying he has no honor. Billy fires back. Marrying a chick he got pregnant, isn't honorable, it's stupid. Cane says he's going to provide his child with a father. That's honorable. Billy says he married some stalker chick because she tricked him. Cane gets angry and knocks Billy into the bookcase, and then Billy tackles him.

At Crimson Lights, Michael is at the counter lecturing Kevin about keeping the money. He settled up yesterday, he has scored major cosmic brownie points. Michael answers a call from Sharon then returns to badger his brother for details. Kevin informs him that he gave Murphy the money to bail Katherine out, and he seems honest. Michael says that bail being $25,000 means the con artist got a $38,000 bonus. Kevin becomes perturbed. Michael takes a call at the counter. Murphy arrives to give Kevin back the remainder of the cash. Murphy thought it was Kevin's life savings. Kevin is shocked by Murphy's gesture and agrees to give Murphy a coffee. Murphy moves toward the patio. Michael returns to the counter, and Kevin updates him that Murphy returned the money. Michael says he still feels it's a scam. Kevin believes Murphy is a good guy and insists she's alive. Kevin hands Michael the cash stating he's on retainer, just keep Katherine out of jail. Alone, Michael introduces himself to Murphy and offers to represent Katherine pro bono.

At Murphy's trailer, Katherine informs Murphy that she has found Nikki Newman. She works at Restless Style magazine. She's confident Nikki will recognize her, and she'll have her life back again.

At Restless Style, Daniel argues with Phyllis about a neon green shirt. He's wearing an Amber design. Daniel asks Nikki's opinion, and she agrees with Daniel that it's not really a 'Daniel' look. He's wearing an Amber design. That was the deal. Nikki decides to work from home, unless Phyllis needs help with the photo shoot. Phyllis approves. Nick should be back shortly. Phyllis prepares for the shoot when Amber arrives bringing "the perfect look for the cover." Phyllis turns to take a call from Nick. When Phyllis turns around, Amber holds up the jacket. Phyllis manages to say it's just "pugly". She has no words and leaves in disgust.

Daniel confronts Phyllis about calling Amber's clothes "pugly". She tells him he'll look like a fool next to Billy Abbott and Cane Ashby, the other "Men We Love". Daniel says he's backing out. Phyllis complains. At this late date that would be disruptive, but he still refuses. Amber urges Phyllis to respect her son's decision. Daniel thanks Amber for supporting him. Amber cunningly says that at first she was psyched about having his art and her designs being seen by millions. She didn't like the thought of woman fantasizing about him, though. Daniel tells her she's good, then makes Phyllis thank Amber before going ahead with the shoot. Daniel does the photo shoot wearing Amber's leather jacket.

At a New York restaurant, Sharon and Nick arrive with Mariel for their business meeting. Sharon is confident Nick will close the deal and feels it's a good sign that Mariel wants to hang with them. Nick can't believe the timing, with Phyllis left to do the cover shoot. Sharon advises Nick to explain how big this account is; Phyllis will understand. Nick's words say she'll understand, but his face says otherwise. Speaking with Phyllis, he breaks the bad news that he'll be home before bedtime. Nick returns to the table and informs Sharon that Noah will be hanging out with Abby at Victor's tonight. Mariel is intrigued and confused about Noah. They explain they were once married. Sharon excuses herself when her cell rings. It’s Michael. She wants to hire him to handle her divorce. He’ll start the paperwork. Sharon and Nick start talking about Beauty of Nature, but Mariel wants to know more about them. She asks more questions about their past, learning that Nick and Sharon were high school sweethearts, which takes them down memory lane. They remember Nick's marriage proposal, their first home, and Noah being born. Sharon admits they had some very nice moments. Mariel says she's totally sold, but if they want the West Coast counterpart sale, they both must do the meeting tomorrow.

At Paul's place, Nikki is stunned by Katherine's appearance in the doorway. Nikki notices that her voice is the same. Katherine say Nikki's been like her own daughter for many years. Nikki embraces her and tearfully says, "Please let it really be you." Seated with coffee, Nikki says they buried her. She saw her at the crash site. Katherine believes it must have been Marge. Murphy found her in a river bank and thought she was Marge. Nikki asks if her memories of the two of them were back. Katherine admits she's familiar, and that she only knows what she read about them from the memoirs. Nikki asks if she remembers her calling from Mexico, but she can't. Suddenly, Katherine says, 'Dear God in heaven, how do I get through to you?' Nikki says Katherine use to say that all the time, but you're not her. Nikki remarks that she has obviously done her homework, and calls Katherine "Marge!" Nikki gives her a blank check, telling her to just get out of all of their lives and stop tormenting those that loved her. Katherine, devastated, apologizes then leaves. Nikki remembers the old days with Katherine and weeps.

Back at Crimson Lights, Daniel and Amber arrive, but Amber is hesitant to enter. Daniel is annoyed with her thinking Kevin is going to hurt her. Kevin is outraged by the plumber's estimate, saying he needs to charge it. Furious, Kevin storms off. Michael pays the plumber with some of Katherine's money and insists that the plumber tell Kevin he's had a change of heart. It's on him. Amber thinks Kevin has gone postal, and once alone, she calls in to report a murder. Phyllis enters, needing Michael to calm her when he blurts out that Sharon is divorcing Jack. Phyllis is stunned.

At Murphy's trailer, Murphy finds Katherine depressed. He excitedly reports that Michael is going to represent her, but it doesn't buoy her spirits. She tells him that Nikki was crushed that she came back to town pretending to be Katherine. She wanted to pay her to go away. She announces that they have to find a way to prove her identity without hurting the people she loves.

Back in New York, Sharon praises Nick for a job well done, and informs him that his room is across from hers. Before they retire for the night, Sharon tells Nick that she doesn't want him to hear it from somebody else, but she is divorcing Jack.
