Max: This might be the craziest idea ever, but if you want to find out what Bo and Hope are gonna say at your trial tomorrow, ask them, you know? It takes guts, though..
Chelsea: That's something you and I both know I have.
Max: Yeah. You want me to go with you?
Chelsea: No, I think I can handle it.
Max: Okay.
Chelsea: Thanks.
Max: My God. If he's in town, I'm a dead man.
Bo: What can I do to convince you I won't let you down? Just tell me. Give me a chance. I'll be waiting.
Belle: Claire deserves to grow up with her own father.
Philip: And she will.
Mimi: No, she won’t.
Sami: What's your real story, E.J., and how come you know so much about me?
Chelsea: I want to have at least one special memory of you and I together before they send me away. Make love to me.
Bo: I'll never give up on you.
Hope: You have to.
Mimi: Belle, are you sure you want to give me your maternity clothes? You're gonna need them for when you get pregnant again.
Belle: But you're pregnant now.
Mimi: I hope I'm pregnant now.
Belle: You're gonna need them before I will.
Philip: She's not gonna be showing for a long time, babe.
Belle: I just want to give it to her tonight so we can celebrate.
Mimi: It's very sweet of you.
Belle: Ugh.
Mimi: Good Lord.
Belle: It is roasting in here. I thought it would have cooled off by now..
Philip: Well, no such luck. I think it actually may have gotten hotter.
Belle: It's a good thing that Claire is staying at my mom and dad's because she would not be a happy camper in this furnace.
Philip: No.
Shawn D.: I am sorry about this, honey.
Mimi: Oh, God, it's not your fault. Hopefully the Super will have it fixed by tomorrow like he said.
Shawn D.: It's bad enough that I'm baking my pregnant wife. Would you mind taking a seat, you know, relax, take a load off?
Mimi: Is he gonna be like this the next nine months? Are all fathers-to-be like him?
Belle: I'm afraid so.
Mimi: Then I think I'm gonna love being pregnant.
Shawn D.: Yeah, you are.
Philip: Shawn, I got something for you.
Shawn D.: Yeah? What's that?
Philip: A check. You know, I was serious when I was talking about helping you and Max by sponsoring your pit crew... with the understanding that I get to be part of the team, pit captain, and get a chance to drive. Go ahead.
Mimi: Oh, my God, Philip.
Shawn D.: You really are serious.
Philip: And if that's not incentive enough, just think of all the publicity you'll get by having the first amputee driver, at least, that I know of.
Belle: No, you won't be 'cause it's not gonna happen.
E.J.: Hey.
Sami: Thank you.
E.J.: You're welcome.
Sami: You probably shouldn't hang out with me. I ruin everything I touch -- everyone. And it's not like I didn't try to change, because I did, and it didn't work out. People are very unforgiving.
E.J.: I just think you're hanging out with the wrong people. You know, not a lot of women look beautiful when they cry. You do. Makes me want to see what you look like when you're happy.
Sami: Well, when I'm happy, I'll be sure to give you a call.
E.J.: You won't have to. I'm just down the hall, remember? I hope I'm going to be seeing a lot of you, Sami.
Max: Oh, my God. If he's here in town, I'm a dead man.
E.J.: Max Brady?
Max: How are you doing?
E.J.: Wow, good to see you!
Sami: Wait, you two know each other?
E.J.: Yeah, well, is there anyone who doesn't know Max?
Sami: Oh, of course. You said you read his blog. I always forget that you are a world-famous race-car driver, Max. You're always gonna be my Uncle Max.
Max: Well, do you know what E.J. here does for a living?
Sami: No! No! I'm dying to find out.
Max: I'll tell you exactly what he does. He is one of the biggest stars on the European circuit.
E.J.: Well...
Sami: European circuit? You mean, you're a famous race-car driver, too?
E.J.: Well, I -- I mean, obviously not that famous.
Sami: You said your Monte Carlo was practically your second home. I didn't know you meant literally.
Max: So how do you two know each other?
Sami: Oh, he just moved in down the hall.
Max: I'm sorry, you said, "moved in"?
Sami: Yeah, why?
Max: No, something tells me I just have some major competition.
E.J.: [Laughs] Come on. Don't worry about that.
Max: I -- well.
E.J.: I'm not worried about it.
Bo: What can I do to convince you I won't let you down? You just name anything, and I'll do it, okay? Hope, what -- Chelsea, what are you doing here?
Hope: I have to go. I can't do this.
Bo: No, Hope. I want to finish our talk.
Hope: Do you? Really?
Bo: Yeah.
Hope: But first you have to make a decision. It's time for you to decide whose side you are on.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Hope: Never mind. Don't agonize over your answer. I can see by the look on your face who comes first. I realize now what an awfully big mistake this was coming here with you. Nothing's changed. It never will, Brady.
Bo: Hope -- what the hell are you doing here? Are you trying to cause trouble between me and my wife?
Chelsea: No. I didn't even know that you guys were gonna be here. Max just brought me out to dinner to try to make me feel better because he knows how upset and nervous I've been.
Bo: Well, you didn't score any points with Hope. Why did you come over here? Didn't you know you'd make things worse?
Chelsea: I'm sorry.
Bo: Well, you should have left us alone.
Chelsea: Well, I guess you have answered Hope's question, huh? At least now I know whose side you're on.
Bo: Oh, my -- this is not about -- I'm out of here.
E.J.: Oh, come on, I'm the one that needs to be a little worried about the competition.
Max: Enough with the false modesty. Sami, don't let him fool you. He's one of the best. He knows how to compete and knows how to win.
E.J.: Well, um, I've had a little bit of good fortune.
Max: Come on! It takes a lot more than just good fortune to win as many races as you have. Although part of it, I think, is due to good karma.
Sami: What do you mean?
Max: Well, I heard that he's an all-around great guy and donates a lot of his prize winnings to charity.
Sami: Really?
E.J.: Well, I mean, you know, I've heard a lot of great things about you, too.
Sami: But you two are just meeting now for the first time?
Max: Well, yeah, we didn't meet officially, but we did race that one time in Paris.
E.J.: Yes, we did. Well, that time I definitely did not win.
Max: Yeah, as I recall, you fell back to fourth. I mean, you could have placed first or second.
Sami: And why would he want to do that?
E.J.: It's complicated.
Max: Well, he knew that the favored French driver wouldn't have had a shot at the Grand Prix if he hadn't placed that day, so our good buddy here gave him a pass. And now E.J. Wells is the second most respected driver in all of France and one of the most successful.
Sami: Really? And they say nice guys finish last.
Max: Well, not him, unfortunately for me. But I definitely think that I have my work cut out for me if you start racing here in the States.
E.J.: You're gonna be fine. May the best driver win. Absolutely. You'll be good.
Philip: I don't really want to talk about this right now.
Belle: There's nothing left to talk about 'cause we've already discussed it, and I don't want you racing, period. It is way too dangerous, and you have a family who needs you.
Shawn D.: I think we should go.
Belle: I can't lose you. Claire can't lose you. The last thing I want is for our daughter to grow up without her father.
Philip: I promise you that's not going to happen.
Belle: And how are you gonna promise that? It's ridiculous. Fatal accidents happen in car racing all the time. People die.
Philip: People get hit by buses, too, so should I just stop crossing the street? Look, we know if anything happens to me -- not that it's going to -- Claire has her Godfather here, too.
Shawn D.: Yeah, Godfather's still here. I would take over. No problem.
Belle: Thanks, Shawn, but it's not the same. Claire deserves to grow up with her own father.
Philip: And she will.
Mimi: No, she won’t.
Philip: What are you talking about?
Mimi: That totally came out wrong. I just meant that Claire won't ever have to worry about not having her father in her life. She'll always have you and Shawn -- I mean, if it ever came to that.
Belle: Mimi, you grew up without your dad, so how would you feel if your baby had to go through that, especially if they didn't have to?
Mimi: That would be horrible. But, you know, I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut.
Belle: Oh, wait, no. I'm sorry. I know that you were just trying to help.. I shouldn't have started this argument. I'm sorry. I apologize -- to you, too, honey.
Philip: It's okay. You're doing it for the right reasons. You're doing it because you love me, right? I love you, too. It's okay.
Shawn D.: Now I think it's really time that we just... okay, so, you know, it's late. She's tired.
Mimi: It's hot.
Belle: Mimi, I didn't give you those maternity clothes.
Mimi: Oh, don't worry about it. I can just get them another day. There's plenty of time.
Belle: Right.
Shawn D.: All right, we will talk about that later.
Philip: Count on it. I'll walk you guys out.
Mimi: Bye, guys.
Belle: Congratulations, you two. I really mean it.
Mimi: We're still keeping our fingers crossed.
Philip: Um... look, I didn't think this whole thing would upset you as much as it has, so maybe with the whole racing thing, we should just, um, agree to disagree?
Bo: Hope, don't run out like this.
Hope: I can't do this.
Bo: We haven't had dinner yet.
Hope: I've suddenly lost my appetite. Look, you can do what you want, okay? But I will not rest until Chelsea pays for what she did.
Max: I take it, it didn't go so well. What happened?
Chelsea: Hope really is out to get me. She can't even stand the sight of me.
Max: I'm sorry.
Chelsea: That's not even the worst part. If we don't do something to stop her, my dad's gonna be on her side for the trial tomorrow.
Max: I'm sure that's not true, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Yes, it is. He just went running out after her.
Max: Why don't we wait and see what happens? For now, you've done all you can, right?
Chelsea: No, I haven’t. Look, we need to find a way to get her out of the picture. And I really mean it this time.
Sami: Well, aren't you quite the international man of mystery?
E.J.: Oh, please, nothing could be further from the truth. My life is an open book. I mean, you know, considering how we met, I certainly don't have any secrets from you now.
Sami: I, uh, I came back. I have to get my wrench back from you. You borrowed it, right?
E.J.: I'm E.J.
Sami: I'm Sami. You're British?
E.J.: Yes, last I checked. Sorry. Your, um, your wrench.
Sami: Oh!
Sami: You're right. That was definitely a... revealing moment. But, um, since I'm engaged to be married, perhaps it would be better if we forgot about that.
E.J.: I will if you will.
Sami: Great. So, um, tell me about being a race-car driver. What's your top speed? How fast can you go?
E.J.: Well, why don't I give you a ride home, and I can show you? Sound good?
Sami: Sounds good to me.
Mimi: That feels...really... wonderful.
Shawn D.: Yeah?
Mimi: Yeah.
Shawn D.: Well, you haven't seen anything yet. Now I'm gonna massage your whole body. Starting with your feet, I'm gonna work my way up, and there will be no arguments. I'm gonna take care of you, make sure you're totally comfortable.
Mimi: Who's arguing? You can massage my whole body all night, that's fine.
Shawn D.: Yeah, you're okay with that?
Mimi: Yeah.
Shawn D.: Hey.
Mimi: What?
Shawn D.: This sounds totally crazy, but I think I can feel our baby growing inside you already.
Mimi: That is crazy. I'm, like, one day pregnant.
Shawn D.: I know, but our little embryo is in there -- actually, it's a blastocyst. I don't know if you knew that. It's already got the placental circulation system going and hair color and eye color and height.
Mimi: Okay, Shawn.
Shawn D.: It's already determined from the moment of --
Mimi: I know how proud you are of your research... but enough. I'm on pregnancy-information overload here.
Shawn D.: I'm sorry.
Mimi: Don't think I don't appreciate it 'cause I do. I think it's so sweet that you're so excited. It's just so hot in here, and you're so hot, and all I want to do is one thing.
Shawn D.: Okay, okay, okay.
Mimi: What?
Shawn D.: We can't do this. We can't have sex.
Philip: Here you go -- ice water.
Belle: Well, Mimi and Shawn are sure happy about the baby.
Philip: Mm-hmm. Now, if only you were happy.
Belle: What? I'm happy.
Philip: Not if I take up this whole race-car thing, though, are you?
E.J.: Whoo! What do you think, is this fast enough for you?
Sami: I love it! This is fantastic.
E.J.: Good. Hold on tight.
Sami: [Screams]
E.J.: Too much?
Sami: No, no. Go faster.
E.J.: I'm already over the speed limit.
Sami: Oh, right, like, obviously you really care about speed limits.
E.J.: I try to, more or less. Listen, tell me more about, uh, Shawn's turbo engine, his work with Max.
Sami: Um, actually, I don't know anything about the engine. I, um... I know that it's, um, got some innovation that every single race-car driver in the world is gonna want to get his hands on.
E.J.: Yeah, every single race-car driver and your fiancé.
Sami: Right. We did want to get in at the ground floor and work with Shawn to market and distribute it. And I think Austin Reed and Company would have been great at it, but because of me, Austin might not have a chance to do that deal.
E.J.: Well, why because of you?
Sami: Because Shawn hates me.
E.J.: What are you talking about? I thought you guys are related, right? He'll get over it.
Sami: No. No, we won’t. Look, I -- I did something, something that I regret.
E.J.: Whoa-ho! Whoo-hoo! Hey! Whoa-ho-ho!
Sami: Yikes!
E.J.: Whew.
Sami: Wow. Yikes.
E.J.: Don't worry, Samantha Jean, you're quite safe with me.
Sami: How did you know my middle name?
E.J.: I, uh, I saw your monogram on some stationery in your apartment. I just assumed it was Samantha Jean. I take it I was right.
Sami: Wait a second. You knew my favorite drink, you knew Belle immediately and that she was my half sister, and now you know my middle name. And I'm in the middle of nowhere with you, so this is great timing. What's your real story, E.J., and how come you know so much about me?
Bo: Hope, hold up.
Hope: Why did you follow me? I told you, I just want to be alone.
Bo: I didn't know Chelsea was gonna be at the restaurant tonight. I wouldn't have taken a chance of anything ruining this evening.
Hope: Chelsea didn't ruin my night. She ruined the rest of my life by killing my little boy, Brady. She took everything. Everything -- my family, my husband, my home, everything. Everything is gone.
Bo: That's not true. We still have each other. I love you, Hope. And I know you love me, and we need each other. Please don't shut me out. Just... let me come in. Let me be with you tonight.
Max: What do you mean, get Hope out of the picture? What do you want me to do, put a hit out on my sister-in-law?
Chelsea: I don't mean that we should kill her. I'm just saying that when she was out on that island and not coming back, I mean -- God, everything was so perfect. I felt like I actually had a chance. I just wish I could have kept it that way.
Max: You've said that before. You did something to keep her from coming back, didn't you? Chelsea, what did you do?
Chelsea: Perfect. Hope wants a divorce. Excellent. Let's see, what would my dad say back to Hope? It breaks my heart, Hope... but I guess you're right. There's really no way we can stay together now, is there?
Chelsea: Look, I didn't do anything. I'm just saying that if I want to stay out of jail, I have to think of a way to keep Hope out of that courtroom tomorrow.
Max: That's not gonna happen. And whatever you're even thinking, you can forget it... 'cause if you go trying to do something, you're gonna end up back in the headlines again, and that's the last thing you need.
Chelsea: Well, it's not really like things can get any worse, right?
Max: Things are gonna work themselves out the way they're meant to, and there's nothing you can do but just stay out of trouble tonight. Look, I'm taking you home. You can get a good night's sleep.
Chelsea: No, I don't want to go to sleep. Max, what if tonight is my last night of freedom?
E.J.: I'm telling you the truth. I saw the initials on your stationery in your apartment, and I made the only logical conclusion. Come on, you hardly look like the "j" could stand for anything else. I mean, you're not a Samantha Janet or a Sami Jo. Come on, it's just not who you are. It had to be Samantha Jean.
Sami: It sounds to me like you missed your calling. You should have been a psychic. Not that I believe in psychics, because I don’t. Frankly, I think they're all a bunch of phonies and they're on someone else's payroll.
E.J.: Look, I'm my own man, okay? I just have a very good instinct for people. For example, the feeling that I get with you is that you don't deserve this reputation for being a so-called "pariah," as you call it. I think it's a lot more likely that you're just misunderstood.
Sami: You're right. I know, but... and it's not like I haven't made mistakes. I mean, I admit that I have made plenty of mistakes, especially when it comes to guys. You wouldn't believe how many times I've come so close to getting everything I ever dreamed of, and then it all blows up in my face. But I'm not gonna let that happen again. I am not going to lose Austin again.
E.J.: Again?
Sami: It's a long -- very long story, but we were engaged once and... I'm a different person now.
E.J.: Well, there you go.
Sami: Well, it's not really that simple. The bottom line is, I need to work on my positive karma, you know? I want to do good deeds and help people, and then good things will happen to me, right?
E.J.: Maybe.
Sami: What do you mean, "maybe"? That's how karma works.
E.J.: Yes, if you believe in that sort of thing.
Sami: Don't you?
E.J.: I like to believe that I'm the master of my own fate. Don't get me wrong, I believe in doing good deeds, but therein lies its own reward. I mean, you can't expect a quid pro quo as a matter of course.
Sami: What?
E.J.: Cosmic payback -- life just doesn't work like that.
Sami: Oh, well, I disagree. That's how my life has worked. I do bad things, and bad things happen to me. I mean, just think about tonight with Shawn. He doesn't want to work with me because of a bad thing that I did. And now Austin might lose the deal, and we need to get that turbo engine for our company -- not just for our company, for our whole future.
E.J.: You need a turbo engine?
Sami: Well, yeah. Yeah, I mean, if Austin doesn't get the deal because of me, well, then he might see me as a liability. He might think that I'm standing in the way of his success, and then maybe he won't want to be partners with me in any sense of the word.
E.J.: Oh, come on, Samantha. Your fiancé's not gonna break up with you over a business deal. You need to trust in his love. Everything else will be fine.
Sami: I do. And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to have a happy ending this time, as long as my bad karma doesn't come back to bite me in the butt. Oh, I'm sorry. You know what? Let's stop talking about this, okay? Let's change the subject, talk about you. You said you were single, but, obviously, there must be a woman out there somewhere for you, right?
E.J.: Oh, there is. I'm with her right now.
Mimi: What? Why can't we make love?
Shawn D.: Because we can't do anything to disturb the implantation.
Mimi: You're kidding.
Shawn D.: Why would I be kidding about something like -- okay, when you're doing in vitro, you must abstain from sexual intercourse for two to three weeks.
Mimi: Two to three weeks?!
Shawn D.: Yeah, I know. Look, Lexie told us this when she gave us this book. It's in there. I know you were a little out of it when you were being discharged.
Mimi: Oh, it's right here. You're right.
Shawn D.: Yeah.
Mimi: We have to be really careful, then.
Shawn D.: Yeah. We're gonna have to be strong.
Mimi: Or maybe not. There's other ways we can have fun.
Shawn D.: Oh, yeah? Mimi Brady?
Mimi: Mm-hmm?
Shawn D.: I love the way your mind works.
Philip: I know you're worried about me. And, like I said, I actually like it 'cause it shows how much you love me. But I know you also want me to be happy.
Belle: Yes, of course I do.
Philip: Then you'll understand how much I need this, how much this means to me. I need to show people that I am not disabled and I can compete in anything -- and not just compete but win.
Belle: Honey, you are an amazing person. Look, I know that this isn't about me, but I think it's really important that you understand that when I look at you physically or in any other way, all I see is a whole person. Honey, you fulfill me completely. And as far as I'm concerned, there's nothing you can't do.
Philip: You fulfill me, too. And I'm never going to leave you. I'm not gonna take stupid chances with my life. I love you and Claire too much.
Belle: God, I love you, too.
Philip: So you want to try and make another baby?
Belle: I can't wait.
Bo: Hope, I'm not asking you to make any decisions tonight. All I want to do is talk, like we were doing at the restaurant. I felt like we were finding our way back to each other.
Hope: Till your daughter showed up.
Bo: Hope, in the past, we've always been able to work things out, no matter what has happened. And we have been through a hell of a lot. Nothing has kept us apart. I think if we just try --
Hope: Don’t. Please, just don’t... don't do this. Just go. Go back to the boat or, better yet, call Billie because she's really the one you should be with tonight, not me.
Bo: Hope, no. I want to be with you. Why are you shutting me out? This can't be just about Chelsea. You want to be with him. You want to be with Lockhart.
Max: All the lights are out. I guess everyone's asleep, huh?
Chelsea: No, actually. My mom's car's not here, so she's probably out looking for me.
Max: She does worry a lot about you.
Chelsea: Yeah, well, Max, she should be worried, because if Hope testifies against me in court tomorrow and convinces the judge to throw the book at me, then I could be so old by the time I get out she won't even recognize me. And that's if I get out at all.
Max: Will you just stop talking like that?
Chelsea: Max, I need you to do something for me.
Max: It depends. What is it?
Chelsea: Well, if tonight is my last night of freedom --
Max: Chelsea.
Chelsea: If it is... I want to make the most of it. I want to have at least one special memory of you and I together before they send me away. Make love to me.
Sami: Um, I'm engaged, and I love my fiancé very much.
E.J.: Wait. You thought -- [Laughs]
Sami: Well, why are you laughing?
E.J.: I'm sorry. I just realized how that must have sounded. Okay, uh, when I said there was only one woman in my life and that she was right here... though you are a very beautiful woman, I wasn't talking about you. Sorry. I was talking about the car. Driving -- that's my passion, I mean, one and only.
Sami: I'm super embarrassed right now. Well, I'm glad we...that sorted out.
E.J.: Yeah, I'm glad we got that covered.
Sami: Well, I wouldn't exactly say that. It's not covered. You didn't answer the question. Is there a woman? And I don't mean an inanimate object.
E.J.: No, there's not. There's no woman.
Sami: How come? I mean, look at you. You're gorgeous and charming and successful and...British. And why don't you have a girlfriend? Unless... um... [Clears throat]
E.J.: Unless what?
Sami: Are you gay?
E.J.: Sami, I'm not gay.
Sami: Good. Um, so let's hear it. What's the problem, then?
E.J.: There's no problem. All right, if you're really so interested, I'll tell you. There was a woman a long time ago, and it didn't work out.
Sami: How come?
E.J.: You're very inquisitive, aren't you?
Sami: I can't help it. Oh, come on, you don't have to tell me. We can just sit here in silence.
E.J.: No, it's fine. It's no big deal. Um, well, we had just graduated from Oxford, and she wants to pursue a career. I was off to go and compete in the European racing circuit.. I wanted her to come with me, and she couldn't do both.
Sami: So she chose her career.
E.J.: She was very ambitious, as we both were. So, as painful as it was, we parted ways.
Sami: And there hasn't been anyone since then?
E.J.: Not like that, no.
Sami: I can't believe it. I mean, she had the opportunity to travel the world with you and love, and she turned it all down?
E.J.: Like I said, she had her own goals, you know? And I can't blame her for that. We were young. And now she's doing extremely well. She's a corporate executive, very successful.
Sami: Oh, I'm sure. And you're just a world-famous, successful race-car driver. I'm sure she's eating her heart out.
E.J.: No, actually, I think that would be me. If I had to do it over again, I would do things differently.
Sami: You would have given up your career?
E.J.: If I had stayed in London, I'd be living with the woman I love. I'd have a wonderful life. I'd probably have a family by now.
Sami: You want to have a family? Sorry, you just don't seem like the type.
E.J.: Sami, I want a lot of things... [Engine turns over] ...All of which I fully intend to get.
Sami: [Laughing]
E.J.: Here we go. Home safe and sound.
Sami: That was amazing.
E.J.: I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Sami: Thanks for the ride.
E.J.: You're welcome. Anytime.
Sami: Oh, Austin beat me home. Um, well, he must be working hard to undo the damage that I did earlier with Shawn. And I hope it works because I know Austin really wants to do this deal with Shawn and Max.
E.J.: If he doesn't, is it really the end of the world? Look, I'm quite sure that Austin or both of you could easily find another driver to invest your time and talents in.
Sami: Oh, my God. You just gave me the most incredible idea. E.J., thank you!
E.J.: You're welcome, I think.
Sami: Oh, sorry. I guess I better go up. Austin's probably wondering what happened to me.
E.J.: Sami, look... don't worry about Austin. Your fiancé loves you very much. I can tell from the way he looks at you.
Sami: You really think so?
E.J.: I know so. And I don't mind telling you, I'm a little envious.
Sami: [Clears throat]
E.J.: Anyway... come on, time to sleep now.
Sami: Oh, your coat.
E.J.: Good night.
Philip: [Exhales sharply] That was incredible.
Belle: Yes, it was. And you know what else it was?
Philip: What else was it?
Belle: It was the perfect time of the month for me to get pregnant. So with any luck, you know, it may have just done the trick.
Philip: Well, I'm not one usually to depend on luck. And you know me. I'm ready to go. Let's do it again.
Belle: Okay.
Philip: Yeah?
Shawn D.: Wow. When you said there were other ways, I had no idea you were so creative.
Mimi: You know what they say, though. "Necessity is the mother of invention."
Shawn D.: And was there a need?
Mimi: Yes.
Shawn D.: I love you so much.
Mimi: I love you.
Shawn D.: Not only are you my wife... but you're my friend... you're my lover, and pretty soon you're gonna be the mother of my child.
Mimi: Hopefully. Shawn, you have to remember there are no guarantees, and this could be our only chance.
Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah, I know. But I'm not thinking that way 'cause I believe in my heart that I'm gonna be a father. And you're gonna be an amazing mother, and we're gonna have that family that we've always dreamed of.
Max: Uh, Chelsea, no. No, not now. I can’t.
Chelsea: Why?
Max: Because it wouldn't be right.
Chelsea: I thought you cared about me.
Max: I do. You know how much I care about you. But, look, I want the first time that we're together -- I want it to be perfect. I want it to be a memory that you'll cherish.
Chelsea: I would cherish it. Look, if I go to jail, memories are gonna be all I have.
Max: We don't know you're going to jail or not. So let's just try and relax and get some sleep.
Chelsea: I already told you I can't sleep. Look, if you're not gonna sleep with me, then at least do something else for me, okay? Could you try to get Bo to convince Hope to forgive me?
Max: I wish I could. I really do, but that's a decision Hope's gonna have to make on her own. And maybe she will. Maybe she'll think about it tonight and realize that everything that happened with Zack is just a horrible accident and that by punishing you is not gonna bring him back.
Chelsea: Yeah, well, that would take a miracle.
Max: Look, miracles do happen, hm?
Hope: That's actually none of your business. But, no, Patrick won't be coming by tonight. I have no plans to see him.
Bo: Okay.
Hope: Good night. I'll see you tomorrow in court.
Bo: I will never let you go, no matter what's happened or will happen. I will never give up on you.
Hope: You have to. Please leave.
Zack: Mommy, mommy, help me!
Hope: Zack!
Sami: I know how we can get Shawn and Max's account away from Lucas.
Kate: So tell me, Mr. Wells, are you hitting on me?
E.J.: Well, that rather depends.
Kate: On what?
E.J.: Do you want me to?
Marlena: I broke our marriage vows. I became pregnant by Roman. Are you thinking of that as nothing?
Bo: Whose side I'm gonna be on before the trial.
Hope: Bo, I already know the answer.
