Phyllis visited Summer in her suite. The turmoil was getting to Summer. One minute, she was planning a wedding to Kyle, and the next, he was the third party in a bitter divorce, and he was waiting on paternity test results. Phyllis had been on both sides of the scenario, and she understood what Summer was going through. She thought it was wise to put the wedding plans on hold. Summer said it didn’t feel wise. She wondered if it’d be easier to weather this storm if she and Kyle were already husband and wife – what if they just got married today? Phyllis said Summer and Kyle agreed the wedding should be postponed at least until they saw how things played out with Harrison. Summer thought she already knew how things were playing out – Tara had suggested she might stay in Genoa City. “Oh no! What!” Phyllis exclaimed. Phyllis was glad that things were out in the open finally. Summer said that Kyle never hid Harrison from her. Phyllis noted that Kyle never mentioned Tara until Theo and Sally stirred things up. Summer said Kyle didn’t like talking about NY, because he did things he wasn’t proud of. She didn’t see why he should have to mention it anyway, since it was all in the past. “Until his past came waltzing into town,” Phyllis replied. Summer wondered if Phyllis was trying to make her feel worse. Phyllis was trying to get Summer to be honest with herself and listen to her gut. Summer said that maybe there was something there between Kyle and Tara, something Kyle couldn’t even admit to himself. Summer wasn’t sure – maybe she was just reading into things and being insecure. She loved and trusted Kyle, and she knew he loved her. She wouldn’t let this situation destroy what they worked so hard to finally get right.

At the Abbott house, Jack picked up Harrison’s fox and smiled. Tara apologized about toys being all over, but Jack didn’t mind it. Tara stayed up all night watching over Harrison. She could tell he sensed something was off. Jack thought it was glad Tara was there to protect him. Ashland showed up and yelled through the door. Tara tensed, though she assured Jack she wasn’t afraid for her or Harrison’s physical safety, because Ashland wasn’t violent, but he was intimidating. Jack promised nothing would happen to Tara or Harrison. Ashland didn’t bring the cops because he didn’t want to scare Harrison, but he would do so if Tara left him no choice. She knew he wasn’t bluffing about the cops, and she couldn’t do that to Harrison. Jack went to the door and let Ashland in.

Tara begged Ashland not to try and take Harrison from her. He needed his mother, she said. He argued that Harrison needed his father more than the parent who ran off to the home of her ex lover’s family. He asked why she did that. She said it was the best option available. It made him think that her and Kyle were still having an affair. She said that wasn’t true. She asked how he found them, and he said it wasn’t the issue. Jack chimed in that the issue was what was best for Harrison, but Ashland wasn’t interested in his parenting advice, given how Kyle turned out. Ashland said it was none of the Abbott’s concern, but Jack countered that it was his home, so it was his concern. Tara implored Ash to be reasonable, but he felt he was being very reasonable after she kidnapped his son. He demanded to see his son. Kyle showed up and said that Tara and Harrison were staying here, and Ashland was leaving. Ashland snarled that a meaningless affair years ago did not give Kyle the right to interfere.

Tara wanted to talk with Ashland in private. He told her to stop stalling, because she had no right to keep his son from him, and he had court documents backing it up. Jack said the documents didn’t negate the fact that Ashland was on his property. Ashland didn’t know why the Abbotts were getting involved. Tara said Jack offered her a safe haven because she was afraid Ashland would react exactly like he was reacting. He said of course he was upset – she was keeping his child from him. “I need to see my little boy and you know that he needs to see me too,” he said.

Jack and Kyle supported Tara doing whatever she wanted to do. Tara conceded that Ashland had the right to see Harrison, and she said he wanted to see Ashland too. But she wanted him to promise not to say anything about the custody or divorce. He said she knew he’d never say anything to scare Harrison. He added that he wouldn’t mention Mommy’s lies or her dirty affair. Kyle warned Ashland to watch it. Ashland pushed back, but Kyle didn’t back down. Ashland told Tara to take him to his son, and they went upstairs. Kyle worried that Ashland would try and take Harrison out of the house, but Jack thought he was telling the truth when he said he wouldn’t make a scene in front of his son.

Kyle thought he should’ve mentioned the paternity test, but Jack said not to do that until they had proof. Jack said Harrison missed the one man who’d been his father his whole life. Kyle knew it seeing Ashland was best for Harrison, but they’d be in a stronger position once the paternity results were in.

Michael went to Chelsea’s hospital room and informed her that the judge found her not guilty by reason of insanity. She wasn’t going to prison, but she’d have to stay in the hospital, and she’d be reevaluated on an ongoing basis, based on reports from her doctor. She looked dejected, and he told her it was a positive thing. It was hard for her to accept that she was the one considered legally insane while the person who drove her over the edge was out there and suffering no consequences. Michael said the difference was Chelsea had a chance to get better, but he doubted Adam ever would.

Nick found Victor and Adam meeting at The Grand Phoenix. They discussed Chelsea. Nick asked why Adam wasn’t in court. Adam didn’t want his presence to sway the judge against her. Nick hoped the judge understood that Chelsea wasn’t in her right mind. Nick was going to leave, but Victor and Adam told him to stay. Adam asked how Faith was. She was going to school, half days for now. Victor wanted Noah to create a new logo for Newman Media. Nick said they could ask Noah, but he thought they’d get turned down, since it was no secret that Noah… “Hates me,” Adam said. Nick added that Noah worked for the family before, and he got burned. According to Nick, Noah made a new life in London, and he was happy. Victor said this wasn’t a suit and tie job – Noah would get to use his creative talents, and maybe this would turn into a permanent position, and he’d come back to Genoa City. Adam added that the gig would give Noah some exposure beyond the art world. Nick thought it sounded like an amazing opportunity, but it was Noah’s decision. He said if Noah decided to accept the job, he’d support it.

Victor proposed a joint venture between Newman Media and New Hope – two brothers working side by side. He said Newman Media could support and sponsor New Hope. Adam liked the idea of doing good in the world. Nick thought it sounded too good to be true, and he wondered if Victor was trying to lure him back into the family business. Victor said he was the father of two strong willed boys who’d feuded for years. It’d be a dream come true if his sons put the past behind them and worked together. He thought that, as a father, Nick would understand that. Nick would think about it and run the idea by Devon. Victor was glad it wasn’t a no.

After Nick left, Adam got a call about Chelsea’s case, and he told Victor. Adam was glad Chelsea wasn’t going to prison, but he was still worried about her. Victor said not to, because someone would always watch out for her.

Victor showed up at Chelsea’s room. She asked if he came to throw away the key. He asked why he’d do that. He noted tha the held up his end by getting her a good doctor and lawyer to keep her out of prison. She thought he’d abandon her after securing Adam’s freedom. He said she was the mother of his grandson, and he had a vested interest in Connor’s well-being and in getting her the help she needed. She said of course she was well. She asked if he forgot that this was all a ruse. He felt that she was far more ill than she was willing to admit. Victor said, despite being paid off, the doctor he hired was tops. He said when she was ready, she could leave this place behind. She sensed a threat and wondered if he planned to keep her in there forever. He told her to focus on herself and not on him. He said if she played the game the way he wanted her to, and she committed to therapy, she’d be released – if she didn’t, she’d stay in there forever.

Nick went to Phyllis’s room and asked about Summer. He didn’t approve when she said Summer was talking about getting married now. Phyllis didn’t think Summer would do it. He was impressed Kyle was doing the right thing for his kid, but he was concerned for Summer. Phyllis didn’t think they should underestimate Summer’s strength. Nick didn’t, but he was concerned.

Nick told Phyllis about his talk with Victor and Adam. It was remarkable in how unremarkable it was. Adam, shockingly, still sounded like a new man. He wasn’t saying Adam deserved a halo, but there was none of the underlying snark, or digs or posturing. Phyllis thought that it must be killing Adam to show restraint. He added that Victor wanted to bring Noah back and sponsor New Hope. Phyllis wondered what the agenda was. Nick stated that Victor said he just wanted to bring everyone together. Phyllis didn’t believe that. She said Victor was gathering his scions, with the exception of Victoria and Abby. She thought he was happy when he was controlling them all. She smelled trouble.

At Society, Sally left Ashland a voice message saying she hoped the info she gave him about his son was paying off. She’d looked into the Italian fashion house he invested in, and she thought it was just the thing that could lure Summer away from Genoa City. She was going to start laying breadcrumbs for Summer, because the sooner this happened together.

Summer wasn’t pleased when she ran into Sally at Society. They were both there for a meeting, and they realized Lauren wanted to see both of them. Summer decided to wait at the bar, instead of at Sally’s table. Sally was sorry about the latest fight. Summer didn’t buy the apology. Sally said she overstepped as a gut reaction to seeing a strong woman like Summer hurt by Kyle’s past mistakes. Summer said Kyle didn’t hurt her, Sally did, and she continued to. Sally asked what she was supposed to to when Tara showed up with her adorable son, so distraught. Summer said Sally had a tell – every time she tried to be nice, she was really up to something. Summer asked what scheme Sally was running this time.

Sally denied that she was scheming. She said she’d have to accept that Summer, Kyle and Jack would always be suspicious of her. Summer said Sally could take full credit for people doubting her. Sally said that Summer might not have to worry about her much longer. She’d just learned about a job in Milan. Creative director at Marchetti. Summer admitted the job did sound pretty amazing. She was rooting for Sally to get the job. Lauren came in and asked what had them smiling. Sally said it was nothing, but Summer said they were talking about Marchetti. Lauren loved them, and she thought the Forresters were one of the backers. She asked if this had something to do with Fenmore’s. Summer said they were looking to hire someone, which would be an amazing opportunity for the right person. Summer had to step away to take a call. Lauren liked seeing Sally and Summer putting their past behind them. Sally said they might be on the way to becoming friends. Kyle told Summer the paternity results were in, and she said she’d come as soon as she could. They ended the call.

Sally video chatted with her grandma, Shirley. Sally asked how involved Eric Forrester was with Marchetti, because she might need a huge favor.

The Abbotts were surprised when Tara came inside without Harrison. She assured them that she didn’t leave him alone with Ashland; he was on a call to his lawyer and Harrison was with the nanny. Kyle asked Tara why she looked so upset then. Kyle thought Ashland upset Harrison. Tara said Ashland kept his promise and was the perfect dad. She was upset because Harrison kept asking where his father had been and asking if they were going home together. It broke her heart, and she thought it broke Ashland’s too. Kyle suggested it was another one of Ashland’s ploys. Outside, Ashland told someone on the phone to do what they needed to do to get his son back. He went inside, and Kyle told Ashland to go, but Ashland said they were far from finished.

Tara asked Ashland to reconsider fighting for full custody. She asked if he didn’t hear the fear in Harrison’s voice. He did, which is why he told Harrison that he loved him and that they’d be together soon. He told her she’d hear from his lawyer, and she’d better not try to run again. Jack asked if that was a threat. Ashland said there was nowhere Tara could run that he wouldn’t find her. Ashland told the Abbotts that they made a serious mistake. Kyle took that as a threat. Ashland said he could take it as a threat or a promise. The doorbell rang. Jack told Ashland not to come by unannounced anymore. Ashland said it wouldn’t be long until he and his son were back in NY. “Wrong again,” Kyle said, while waving the envelope the courier dropped off. “You asked why Tara sought me out – why she came here to stay. This is the reason. Harrison is not your son. He’s mine,” Kyle said. Ashland looked at Tara then at Kyle.

At Crimson Lights, Rey was with Sharon, but he was lost in thought over Chelsea’s case. She suggested he go to the courthouse, but he said he’d stay out of it and let the lawyers do their job. Rey and Sharon hoped, for Connor’s sake, that Chelsea didn’t go to prison. They got the news. Sharon thought the judge made the right choice. Now Chelsea would get the help she needed. Sharon said even if Chelsea was faking it, that meant she needed the help even more. He suggested they go on a trip to celebrate that they made it through this. She suggested Miami – they could see his family and visit Lola. He liked the idea, as long as they got some time alone together. She said it could be a second honeymoon.

Sharon was excited about the trip, but they couldn’t just go today. Rey agreed they had jobs to consider. “And kids,” Sharon said as Faith walked in. Rey talked to Faith about her first day back in school. She felt a little weird. He was sure the jitters would fade as soon as she got there. Faith was sure the kids would talk about her, and they were probably taking bets about when she’d be back in the hospital. Sharon asked Faith not to even joke about that. Faith went to get her books, and Sharon hoped she was ready, physically and emotionally, for school. The kids could be cruel. Rey said Faith was stronger than she was before, like she was growing into herself. He also thought she might have a secret weapon. Sharon asked what, and then she saw who Rey meant – Moses was on the patio with Faith.

Sharon loved seeing her daughter smiling again. She hated to break up the teens’ conversation, but they had to go or Faith would be late. Rey thought she could give them five more minutes. She called him a softy, but she agreed. On the patio, Moses told Faith how great Neil’s memorial walk was. He enjoyed hearing the stories about his dad. She was sorry she couldn’t make it. She wasn’t up for long walks yet. He offered to show her around Neil’s Genoa City once she was up to it, and she accepted.

Back inside, Rey and Sharon planned their vacation. She didn’t want to offend Celeste, but she didn’t think they should spend their entire second honeymoon under her roof. He didn’t either. He wanted her to himself as much as possible. Michael showed up and asked if they were okay with Chelsea not going to prison. Both Sharon and Rey said they were.

Michael continued outside and met Lauren on the patio. He heard Victor visited Chelsea in the hospital today, and that was bothering him. Lauren didn’t think it was odd for Victor to visit his grandson’s mom. Michael had every reason to believe Chelsea was ill, but the more he thought about the whole picture, things nagged at him. He said Chelsea was at Victor’s when she had her breakdown and dramatic confession. Victor brought in a doctor, who just happened to be the same doctor who was treating Chelsea now. Lauren didn’t like where this was going. Michael wondered if Victor was pulling the strings.
