At Society, Jack saw Summer surrounded by wedding magazines, but she didn’t look happy. He assumed that her enthusiasm for planning her wedding was dampened because she was worried about her sister. She thought about bringing the magazines to the hospital to distract Faith, but she was reconsidering. He offered positive thoughts for Faith. She wished there was something she could do for sister. He was sure Nick, Sharon and Victor would move heaven and earth to help Faith recover. She mentioned that Nick was pursuing a possible donor. He thought it was obvious that Faith had a guardian angel. He believed Faith would enjoy helping plan the wedding. He asked if they’d set a date. Nothing was set in stone, but she thought she wanted to be a fall bride. That would give them time to get things organized and hopefully get her father on board. Summer wondered if Jack could help her convince her dad that this marriage would be the best thing that ever happened to her. Phyllis was already working on Nick. He said he’d like nothing more than for her and Kyle to be happily married. She wanted family unity, complete and utter happiness and a perfect wedding.

Summer saw Jack’s eyes glazing over as she brainstormed about flowers for the bouquet and centerpieces. He said he was excited for her excitement. She realized he didn’t need every detail, and she told him to just relax and be the father of the groom. She hoped he’d bring someone special to the wedding, as long as it wasn’t Sally. She begged him to say there was zero chance of that. He said he wasn’t seeing Sally, and the wedding was months away. She noted that he didn’t directly answer her. She knew it was none of her business, but she plead with him, for his own sake, not to let Sally get back under his skin. She only said this because she cared about him, and they were about to become family. He knew she meant well, but he noted that it was usually the nosy in laws who interfered in the young couple’s lives and not the other way around. She promised to back off. He was heading back to the office, and he wanted her and Kyle to come see him when they got there.

Sharon was at the ranch with Nikki and Victor. They were all relieved that Nick found Adam and convinced him to donate a kidney to Faith. Victor asked how Faith was. Sharon said she was resting peacefully. Sharon had come to the ranch to grab a couple things for Faith, and then she was going back to the hospital. Victor wanted Sharon to know that her instincts about Adam were right – he had ended back up at the Montalvo farm. Faith was asleep when Nick called last night. Sharon couldn’t wait to give her the good news.

When Faith woke up, Sharon was there. Sharon was glad Faith was doing better after that alarming call last night. Faith said Moses kind of freaked out about something that wasn’t a big deal. Sharon was glad he did – she wanted to know everything that was going on with Faith. Faith said Sharon did. Sharon announced that Nick found Adam, and Adam realized he had to come through for Faith. Faith asked if she’d be okay, and Sharon said if everything went the way they hoped, Faith would be on the road to recovery soon. Faith pointed out that Adam was still on the run. Sharon alluded to Victor’s power, and she said that they were all determined to make this transplant happen. Faith asked how. Sharon wasn’t sure exactly, but she knew they’d find a way. Sharon said Faith had persevered through several issues, and the doctors, the family and her new friend Moses were all going to rally behind her. Sharon told Faith to hold onto that and let them take care of everything else.

Back at the ranch, Victor called Michael and left a message. He wanted information on Adam’s case. He also wanted to know why his name was getting dragged into the Sutton Ames case, which he had nothing to do with. Nikki left the study and postponed work. She couldn’t think about anything until Nick and Adam got back. He said this whole drama was the result of Chelsea framing his son. He called Chelsea a con artist who was walking around with a phony limp. He wanted his son’s name cleared. She’d overheard his call, and she asked what was going on with the politician, Sutton Ames. He told her Sutton was accused of arranging the murder of a Newman employee. Victor got the feeling Amanda was going to shift the blame away from Sutton onto someone at Newman, perhaps even him. Nikki was surprised Victor was so calm. He said that was because it was absurd. She wanted to know how Amanda got involved. He didn’t know, but he was determined to find out.

Kyle was happy when Mariah came back to work after her business trip. He told her to let her know if he could do anything for Faith. She said for now, send positive energy and vibes. She wanted to change the subject, because if they kept talking about Faith, she was going to be a wreck, which wouldn’t look good in the halls of Jabot. She was catching up on work and the Locke debacle. He said they were almost recovered from the damage Locke did when he closed the plants. She didn’t know what set Locke off, but she had her suspicions. He told her the story – Locke accused him of having an affair with his wife, then he waged war on Jabot, only to back off after having a heart attack. She wondered if Locke still had no idea that his son was actually Kyle’s. Kyle didn’t intend to let the truth come out – he and Tara agreed not to ever see each other again. He showed her a picture of Harrison. Mariah said that the proud tone in his voice and wistful look in his eye told her that he hadn’t fully let his son go. He wanted to know Harrison, but he refused to turn the child’s life upside down and disrupt the relationship with the only father he’d ever known. He thought it was best to act like Tara never came back into his life. He was excited to move forward with Summer.

Kyle said his engagement was back on, and he was looking for enthusiastic support from his friend. Mariah said that, with everything he’d been through, the least she could do was give her blessing. She wanted him to be happy, and Summer made him happy. He said Mariah had been a rock, the only person he’d been able to talk to about everything, and a truly good friend. He asked her to be his best person at the wedding, and she excitedly promised to be the best best person ever. She asked when the wedding was, and he said the fall. She warned him she’d be as big as a house by then, and he’d have to reach over her belly to get the rings. He said they’d make it work. He asked about the pregnancy. It was going well, sometimes she was tired and had morning sickness, but it was fine. He asked if things were going well with everyone else involved. She acknowledged this was an unconventional situation. She couldn’t decide if she was living in a 50s melodrama or modern fairy tale. He said it’d have a happy ending.

Summer and Kyle met Jack in the boardroom. He told them that the plants closed due to false claims of unsafe working conditions were opening next week. Kyle blamed himself for them closing, but Jack didn’t want him looking in the past. Jack wanted to throw them an engagement party. They were touched. He wanted to mark the page turning in their lives. He promised he supported them now and always.

At the penthouse, Amanda thanked Devon for last night. She enjoyed the home cooked meal, and she suggestively added that the dessert wasn’t bad either. He noted that he’d promised to support her while she was on the case. She had her first meeting with opposing county, Michael Baldwin. Devon said Michael was tough, but he was sure Amanda would be fine. He saw how much she poured herself into the case. Michael called Amanda at the same time Nate came over. He hoped Devon didn’t mind him dropping by this early in the morning to see Moses. He spotted Amanda and wondered if he was intruding. Devon let Nate in. He wished Amanda luck with Michael, but she smiled and said she didn’t need it. She left. Nate asked how Amanda staying over worked Moses in the house. Devon said he didn’t flaunt his relationship to Moses or hide it. Nate was curious whether Devon asked Moses how he felt about it. Devon hadn’t – Moses was 16, and Devon didn’t think he cared. Nate had been planning to take Moses to school and talk about the internship at AskMDNow. Devon said Moses left early to visit Faith. Nate asked if Devon was okay with how close Moses and Faith were getting. Devon thought it was great for both teens. He asked if Nate had an issue with the way he was handling Moses. Nate knew Devon was taking good care of Moses. Devon asked why all the questions then. Nate was sorry because Devon didn’t deserve this. Nate knew this wasn’t rational, but he thought it had something to do with Elena. Nate was kind of stung by the fact that Devon slept with Elena but didn’t end up with her. “She risked everything with me to sleep with you again. For what? Nothing. She and I broke up over it and you decide to build a relationship with Amanda,” Nate stated. Devon said this had been painful and complicated for all of them. He asked why Nate didn’t work things out with Elena. “I’m stopping myself,” Nate admitted. He cared about her, but he couldn’t go back. When he saw Devon with Amanda, he got jealous, because Devon and Amanda figured it out and were happier and stronger than before.

Devon was glad Nate could be honest with him. He hoped Nate could find what he was looking for in life – there was someone out there for everyone. Nate hoped Devon was right. He shifted gears and asked what they were doing for the anniversary of Neil’s passing. Devon said it’d be a small event, Malcolm and Olivia were abroad, so they couldn’t come, but he hoped the twins would. He knew Neil would want to have as many Winters together as possible. Nate agreed Neil would want the family to come together and continue to heal, and he thought they needed that.

Michael met with Amanda at the hotel. He reprimanded his assistant for botching his schedule, and he thanked Amanda for accommodating this last minute change. He commented that a murder trial was quite the change from the work she was doing at ChancComm. She said her successful defense of Billy whet her appetite. When she started law school, her intention was to become a criminal lawyer. She noted that he’d wrongfully accused her client. He stated that the evidence initially pointed toward Billy. She was thankful that the truth came out before they had to go to court, but she asserted that she'd been up for the challenge. He could see she was totally prepared, but he did wonder why a power broker like Sutton Ames took a chance on someone who had no track record in criminal court. He asked how the case fell into her lap, and she said it was none of his business.

Amanda assumed Michael wanted her client to plead out. He said her client was charged with conspiracy to commit first degree intentional homicide, as well as solicitation to commit first degree intentional homicide. He could be facing life in prison. She asked what he was offering. He said Sutton could plead guilty to second degree intentional homicide. She balked – Sutton would be facing 20 years. He said Sutton could get a reduced sentence for good behavior. She stated that a prosecutor with a solid case wouldn’t offer a plea bargain – all he had was circumstantial evidence. He suggested that he preferred not to see an elderly man with no previous record spend the rest of his life behind bars. She didn’t buy it, and she passed on his offer. He admired her self-assurance, but he told her that she couldn’t win this case. She accused him of posturing. He said the facts were incriminating for her client. He laid out the case – Richard Nealon found payments from Newman to Sutton’s campaign for “consulting work.” These payments coincided with Newman real estate projects facing permit issues. Soon after each payment, the permit issues disappeared into thin air. There were records of phone calls Richard made to Sutton’s campaign office. If Sutton were accepting bribes, it would’ve ruined his political career and sent him to prison. Then Richard died when his brakes were tampered with. Sutton had everything to gain if Richard was silenced. Amanda had another version. Michael was all ears. She said she didn’t try cases in hotel lobbies, so she’d see him in court. Victor walked in, and he asked if they were discussing Sutton. Amanda stated that her client would be cleared of all charges. Victor noted that Amanda was deeply invested, and she said she always gave her all to her work. She was sure he wasn’t thrilled his company was attached to a murder case, but she assured him that this wasn’t a personal attack, it was just a matter of facts. Michael said the facts were in the prosecution’s favor. Amanda left to prepare her winning argument.

Victor asked if Michael asked Rey to investigate Chelsea. Michael said justice would be served, and Victor asked when. Michael was sure Victor had a million plans of action in his head, and he urged him not to act on any of them. He thought Victor’s energy would be better spent on Faith. It broke Victor’s heart to see that sweet girl suffer, but there was good news. Michael knew how serious these things could be – he was on the other side of it all those years ago with Danny Romalotti. Victor remembered that, and he said people really respected Michael for that heroic act – it proved even people with Michael’s past could be redeemed. Michael said in a sense, the donation saved his life as well, and people gave him the second chance he desperately needed to start over.

Sharon and Nate talked in the hospital hallway. There was still no response to the steroid treatment. He said Faith was on the national donor registry, but it could be a long time before she got to the top of the list. He asked how the search for the living donor was going. She said Nick was meeting with a possible donor, but she didn’t want to jinx it. She thanked him for his expertise, his compassion and his calm. He promised to do whatever he could for Faith. She knew he would, and she was counting on it.

Devon ran into Victor at Society. He asked about Faith. Victor said Moses had been a comfort to her. Devon invited Victor to the event for Neil. Victor was sure Neil would be proud of Devon. Victor understood Devon was dating Amanda. Devon didn’t realize Victor knew. Victor mentioned it was a small town. He brought up the case Amanda was on. Devon didn’t think that was something Victor needed to be concerned about, unless there was something Devon didn’t know. Victor said there was nothing. He was curious about why a corporate lawyer would leave her job to devote her time to Sutton’s case. Devon said he’d have to ask Amanda. Victor appreciated the discretion.

Devon took takeout to Amanda’s room. She told him about her run in with Victor, and he shared his own encounter with Victor. She asked if Victor was digging for dirt on her. That was exactly what he thought, and it was just what he’d told her would happen – Victor would come out swinging against any perceived threat. She said she had to keep her guard up then.
