Sharon and Nick were frantic as they drove around looking for Faith. The phone tracker app they were using kept losing its signal because of the spotty cell service in the area. Nate called to inform them that Faith had been in an accident. Faith was lying in a hospital bed unconscious, and she had a bruised face. Nick and Sharon raced in, and she tearfully assured Faith that her parents were here. Nate entered and stated that the initial examination showed that Faith had cracked ribs and bruised kidneys. He said they’d have a better idea of how the injury to her head manifested once she regained consciousness. There was no internal bleeding. Nick asked if she was drinking, and Nate said yes, according to her blood work. Her injuries indicated that she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, and she was driving an older vehicle without airbags. Nick said Faith took an old truck from the ranch. Nate assured them that they were doing everything they could for Faith. He felt it was lucky that Faith was found as fast as she was. Nick asked who found her. Nate said as far as he knew, it was anonymous Good Samaritan. The man who found Faith didn’t call an ambulance. He brought Faith to the emergency room and disappeared.

After Nate left, Sharon promised Faith she’d be fine. Sharon acknowledged that she had some work to do once Faith got home. She thought she’d listened to Faith, but now she felt like she may have failed Faith, and she was so sorry. Sharon tearfully stated that she thought Faith’s problem with the bullies had gone away, but she should’ve kept her eyes open, because she knew bullies didn’t go away that quickly. She said maybe she was just eager to get past it all because it had been such a hard year for them all. She was looking for some sense of normalcy, but she was stronger now thanks to Faith, Rey, Nick and Mariah and everyone who helped her get through the treatment. Sharon said now Faith was the one who needed love and support, and she’d get it, because they’d never give up on her. She told Faith not to give up on them either.

Later, while Sharon was out of the room, Nick asked if Nate had any more information on the mystery man who brought Faith in to the ER. There was no new news – the doctor in the ER had been more focused on getting Faith stabilized than on the man who brought her in. Nate said they were monitoring Faith closely, and he’d let Nick know when something changed. Nate left, and Nick sat with Faith. He hoped she knew how many people were here for her. He tearfully said everyone wanted her to be okay. He wished he had some way to help her. He’d always felt like a pretty good dad, but he didn’t feel that way now. He wished he’d listened and understood better about what she was going through. Sharon returned and heard Nick implore Faith to open her eyes and give him another chance to be the best father he could be. Sharon put her hand on Nick’s shoulder.

Nick was out of the room, and Rey was there with Sharon. She broke down crying, worried the worst would happen, but he told her not to go to that place. She couldn’t help but think what would’ve happened if that stranger didn’t find Faith and bring her in. He didn’t know about the stranger, so she told him about the man who drove Faith to the hospital. He realized that’s why there was no news of the accident on the police scanner. Sharon reasoned that the man couldn’t get any cell service out there. She and Nick had been searching for Faith, and the service was spotty. He asked what the stranger said. She didn’t know. She’d wanted to thank him, but apparently he took off as soon as he brought Faith in. Rey decided to ask around the ER and see if anyone recognized this man. Sharon asked if the stranger could’ve left because he was responsible for the accident. Rey said that would make sense, but highway patrol saw the Newman truck on the side of the road, and from the looks of it, Faith lost control and hit a tree. There was no indication that another car was involved. Sharon said Faith’s blood work was positive for alcohol – she didn’t even know how to drive, and she was driving under the influence. “She could’ve been killed,” Rey muttered. Sharon thanked God for the Good Samaritan. She couldn’t believe she’d never be able to thank the man who saved Faith’s life.

Nick returned, and Sharon said she sent Rey to go home and rest. The hospital was limiting visitors, and Rey was going to relieve her later. Nick knew the doctors were doing all they could, but it didn’t make it any easier. He asked if she told Rey about the guy who brought Faith in. She told him about Rey’s plan to ask around about this mystery man. Nick thanked God for the Good Samaritan and said it was pure luck that he found Faith out in the middle of nowhere. She wished they knew who it was, and he said he was determined to find the guy. She said they could never thank the man enough for saving their daughter’s life.

Billy and Lily were at the office. He was fixated on an article about Ashland selling his company to the Newmans. He’d read it five times. Lily told him to stop, since there was no point in stressing over something he couldn’t change. He had a plan, and he guaranteed she wasn’t going to like it. He thought that they could convince Ashland to take a better deal. As far as he knew, no money had changed hands between Ashland, Victor and Adam. He wanted to make a counteroffer of 50% on top of whatever Victor was willing to pay. Lily said they’d be close to paying more than the money was worth. She didn’t think Jack would want to do that, but Billy bet he would if it meant beating Victor. He wanted to get in the room with Ashland and remind him who Adam was. He wanted to ask Ashland why he’d get into business with someone who couldn’t be trusted, because Adam couldn’t be trusted. Lily was frustrated that Billy couldn’t let it go.

Lily knew Ashland did his research, and thanks to the article, Adam’s history was public knowledge. And Ashland still decided it wasn’t a deal breaker. She thought that if Billy went to Ashland with another offer and a reminder of how horrible Adam was, it would basically be an attack on Ashland’s personal judgment. Billy thought the worst that could happen was that Ashland denied him. Lily countered that Billy could end up on the wrong side of another ruthless powerful man. He knew it sounded like he just couldn’t stand to lose to Adam, but this was a real threat to their company, so he was willing to take the risk. She said she was done, no more Ashland, Adam or Victor. She thought he sounded obsessed. She had an idea to take his mind off this.

At The Grand Phoenix, Summer thanked Phyllis for not saying anything else to Jack about Sally, since it was too risky, given what Sally knew about Kyle and Tara. This was hard for Phyllis, because she was convinced Sally was taking advantage of Jack. Phyllis stated that as protective as she was of Jack, she was more protective of Summer, so her lips were sealed. Phyllis had an idea, and she asked Summer to imagine Sally living in another town, far far away from them.

Lily brought Billy to the hotel, and he didn’t see how this was going to take his mind off Cyaxares. Lily said it wasn’t the where, it was the why. She asked Phyllis to schedule a couple’s massage up in her suite. Phyllis scowled, but she booked the appointment, then she told Billy he was a lucky guy, but it didn’t sound sincere. Billy asked if Lily really thought it’d be this easy to make him forget about the multi-million dollar deal he lost to the man he loathed. Lily said this wasn’t going to be a regular massage.

Lily and Billy got their massage, and Billy called the masseuse a magician. After the man left, Billy said he had so much energy he didn’t know what to do with it. She had an idea, and she let the sheet covering her fall to the ground. Later, after Billy got out of the shower and was out of Lily’s earshot, he called to arrange a meeting with Ashland. He said it was important and in Ashland’s best interests.

Kyle brought Jack to his suite for a talk. Jack’s phone rang, and he silenced it to give Kyle his complete attention. Kyle explained that he and Tara had an affair after meeting at a party. Jack asked if Kyle knew Tara was married, and he said yes. Jack wondered if Kyle had known that Tara was married to one of the most cold-blooded businessmen in the world. Kyle had been aware of Ashland’s reputation, and he and Tara were careful to be discreet. In the beginning, they were having a no commitment fun fling, and then they developed feelings for each other. It ended and they moved on. Jack knew he couldn’t judge, given his own romantic history, and he knew Kyle wasn’t obligated to confide this in him, but he wished he’d known about it before he insisted Kyle join him, Ashland and Tara for drinks at Society. Jack was glad Ashland didn’t know about the affair, but Kyle thought he might. He said Tara called to warn him that Ashland might suspect something, then Ashland called him and asked to meet about a promotion for Jabot. Kyle thought it was suspicious for Ashland to personally place a call about something so minor. Jack wanted to hear about the affair from the beginning and he wanted every detail.

Kyle explained that he’d been missing Summer and hanging out with Theo, who always encouraged his worst instincts. He knew that the affair was reckless, but he couldn’t stop himself. It was an adrenaline rush, then they went their separate ways, and that was it. Jack said that the last thing Kyle and Jabot needed was Ashland as an enemy. Kyle knew that, and he lamented that he may have put a target on all of their backs. Tara once told Kyle about Ashland executing a hostile takeover that resulted in dismantling a company, destroying the owner’s marriage and reputation in the process, all over a perceived snub at a meeting. Jack said Ashland took pleasure in decimating and humiliating his rivals. From what Jack heard, Ashland operated the same way in his personal life as he did in his professional life. Jack recalled that when Ashland suspected his business partner was cheating him, he left the man penniless, then he went after the man’s brother and the brother’s business partners. John Abbott was the only person Jack could think of who got the better of Ashland.

Kyle knew Ashland wouldn’t hold back with him, the people he loved or Jabot. Jack said to let him worry about Jabot. Kyle had put this out of his head for a long time, because he was sure Ashland wouldn’t find out about the affair, but now Tara said he may have picked up on something. Jack said that Tara and Kyle didn’t know that for sure. Kyle didn’t want his actions to hurt Jack, Summer or Jabot. He didn’t want anyone else to have to pay. Kyle wished he’d come to Jack sooner, because Jack was the smartest person he knew. Jack asked if Kyle was worried he’d be disappointed, and Kyle said maybe a little. Jack wasn’t disappointed, and he admitted he’d done far worse. He was glad Kyle opened up to him. Summer walked in, and Kyle told her what was going on. Summer asked if Jack knew everything. Kyle quickly said that Jack knew all about the affair. Jack asked how Summer was doing with this. She said she and Kyle talked it through, and she was fine. Summer asked what Jack thought Kyle should do. Jack planned to handle this from here on out, and he wanted Kyle to stay away from Ashland.

Kyle didn’t want Jack on Ashland’s radar, and he said he couldn’t let Jack fight his battles. Jack noted that Ashland had destroyed careers, companies and families. “When he calls again, you refer him immediately to me,” Jack said. Jack thought that if Ashland really wanted to do business he wouldn’t be suspicious of Jack wanting to be involved. Kyle said that if Jack insisted on being involved, they could team up. Jack suspected that the stories they heard about Ashland paled in comparison to reality. Jack trusted Kyle to handle this, but he thought it could get ugly, so he wanted to take the brunt of it. He wanted to take the meeting with Ashland solo and figure out where he was really coming from.

Sally walked into the hotel, and Phyllis asked if there was anything she could do to make her stay better. “Like what? The pillows on my bed could be fluffier or my thermostat is stuck on 49 degrees?,” Sally asked. Phyllis said this was a sincere inquiry. Jack walked downstairs and overheard Sally say she wondered why Phyllis was being pleasant. Phyllis said she realized Sally wasn’t worth worrying about. Sally didn’t believe Phyllis had somehow changed her personality overnight. Jack walked over and asked if he was interrupting. Phyllis said she was sincerely asking Sally if anything was okay, and she’d get someone to fluff Sally’s pillows and fix her thermostat. Sally said it wasn’t necessary. Jack wanted to take Sally to drinks at Society. Phyllis offered them a drink here on the house, and Sally said thanks, but they’d prefer a change of scenery. Jack and Sally left. Phyllis dropped the pleasant act and decided to have a chat with Wyatt Spencer.

At the penthouse, Chelsea paced around as she checked her phone for a news story on the search for Adam. She didn’t find one. She thought he should leave the country to avoid prison. Chloe was glad Chelsea was finished with Adam, but she was surprised Chelsea took it this far. Chelsea felt she had no choice. She complained that the second she was incapacitated, Adam went running into Sharon’s arms and slid back under Victor’s thumb. She now realized Adam wasn’t ever going to change and leave Genoa City. Chloe didn’t understand how Chelsea pulled it off. Chelsea reiterated that it was best if Chloe didn’t know the details. Chloe wanted to know the whole story, since Chelsea already involved her in the scheme. Smiling, Chelsea agreed, since she’d been dying to tell someone about this.

“First I had to get my hands on the thallium without it being traced back to me. That’s where you came in,” Chelsea told Chloe. Chloe was caught off guard, because she didn’t think she had anything to do with that part. Chelsea said that the thallium was in the package Chloe picked up at Adam’s P.O. box. After Chloe brought it to Chelsea, she hid it so no one would stumble across it. “What? I thought I was retrieving medical supplies for you. Not providing a weapon in an attempted murder case,” Chloe exclaimed. Chelsea had kept the details from Chloe, because she didn’t want her to have to deal with the dilemma of whether or not to get involved. Chloe suspected Chelsea was worried she’d refuse. Chelsea insisted she really was looking out for Chloe’s best interests. Chelsea knew Chloe supported her ultimate goal, since no one hated Adam more than Chloe, who’d tried to kill him twice. Chloe said those were the two biggest mistakes of her life. Chelsea also didn’t want Chloe to have to hide her actions from Kevin, since he worked at the police department. Chloe countered that she’d have to do that now. She was beginning to regret asking for details. Chelsea said she wouldn’t tell Chloe how she got the poison into Rey’s belongings or how she got the knickknacks from Sharon’s house. Chloe figured that was probably for the best. Chelsea said her plan worked beautifully – the world would find out what Adam did, and they’d be horrified. She said no one would be able to deny what kind of person Adam was anymore.

Chloe didn’t think Adam would go quietly – he knew he was framed. Chloe said the beauty of it was Adam would never be able to prove it. Chloe said Adam wasn’t stupid, and according to Chelsea, he already wondered if she was hiding her recovery. Chloe was sure that if Adam figured it out, he’d move heaven and earth to expose Chelsea. Chelsea said that if Adam pointed a finger at a stroke victim in a wheelchair, he’d just look desperate and delusional. Chloe looked concerned and said Chelsea almost seemed okay with that. “I kind of am! Let him do it!,” Chelsea exclaimed. Chloe said what about Connor. Chelsea recognized that this would be hard on Connor, but she said eventually, he’d learn the whole story and some cold truths about his father, and then Connor would understand. She’d make sure he did.

Adam was in a motel room in an undisclosed location. He put the TV on and saw a story on the manhunt for him.
