Sally and Lauren bumped into each other at Crimson Lights. Sally mentioned that she was going to send Lauren a memo about how they could streamline some things and save money for the company. Lauren heard a rumor that Sally bought a new car. Sally hoped it was okay that she left work early to pick it up. Lauren was fine with it; she’d learned that Jack played hooky that day too, and she assumed he drove Sally to the car dealership. Sally confirmed it. She conceded that everyone else thought the friendship was odd, but she felt lucky to have Jack as a friend. Lauren clarified that she didn’t judge Sally and Jack.

At Jabot, Summer and Jack questioned Kyle about this trip to NY he’d been planning to take. Summer reminded Kyle that he said he couldn’t go to L.A. with her because he had too much to do in Genoa City. Jack left to give them privacy. Kyle felt weird about apologizing for a trip he didn’t take, but he did so anyway. He’d been planning to tell her, and he admitted he should’ve done that sooner. He turned flirtatious, hoping to welcome her home from her trip, but she told him they weren’t finished with this discussion. She wanted to know why he was going to go to NY, and she concluded that he’d been going to see Tara. He asked what made her think that. She told him that Sally kept implying that Summer didn’t know everything about Kyle and Tara’s affair. He said Sally was a troublemaker who was just trying to mess with Summer. Gloria walked in to remind Summer that she was supposed to meet Lauren at Society. Kyle said things would be fine, and he told Summer that “you know who” liked to play games. Gloria was intrigued, and she guessed they were talking about Sally. Gloria said she didn’t get a good vibe from Sally. Summer said she was just telling Kyle about her trip. Gloria and Summer left. Sally walked in and saw Kyle looking at a picture of Harrison. She surmised that Kyle couldn’t bring himself to be honest with Summer.

Kyle pretended he didn’t know what Sally was talking about, so she summarized the predicament he was in with Tara, Ashland and Harrison. He asked why she was dropping hints about Tara to Summer. She admitted she was fishing to find out if he’d been fully honest with Summer. He said there was nothing else to tell Summer. She said she must’ve misunderstood him staring at the photo of the little boy. He was adamant that Harrison wasn’t his son. He asked what was with the poking and prodding – was she amusing herself or waiting for the right opportunity to tell Summer about Tara’s son?

Sally said she didn’t tell Summer about it because she didn’t have proof the boy was Kyle’s. She said he might not believe it, but she really didn’t want to cause trouble for him. She wanted to focus on her promotion, and she’d prefer it if they all got along. She and Jack were getting closer, and she was sure he wouldn’t appreciate her hurting Kyle. He wanted to know why she was spending so much time with his father. She suggested Jack saw something in her that Kyle hadn’t yet. She was confident he’d eventually come around. He didn’t understand why she plotted and schemed, then insisted everyone got along. He asked how he could believe her promise not to tell anyone about Tara’s son. She said she wouldn’t say anything unless her hand was forced. She also promised to ease up on her hints to Summer, but she thought that his denials seemed forced. She said if he ever did find out he fathered Tara’s son, he should sit with that reality for a minute then forget all about it. She thought it was probably too late for him to come clean with Summer, because she’d wonder why he held back, and that would fester, and Ashland would come after him. He thanked her for the advice, but he reiterated that the kid wasn’t his. They both left, but he accidentally left his phone sitting in the chair.

At The Grand Phoenix, Nick caught Phyllis snooping in Sally’s laptop. Phyllis pretended it was her new computer, but Nick saw through it, because he knew she wouldn’t buy a pink laptop. She admitted it was Sally’s. He groaned as he realized she used her master key to break into Sally’s room and steal her computer. Phyllis was unrepentant. She showed Nick Sally’s search history, which was all about the Abbotts. She called Sally a stalker with designs on Jack. He suggested that Sally and Jack simply liked each other, but she was adamant that Sally had Jack in her cross-hairs. She said Sally had Kyle in her sights once, and when that didn’t work out, she changed targets. Nick told Phyllis to put the computer back and not to ever do this again. Phyllis felt that Sally had tried to manipulate Nick when they first met. She said he was lucky because Sally had to go through Phyllis to get to him.

Nick accepted that Phyllis thought Sally was a threat and he’d learned a long time ago that he couldn’t try and stop her. However, he noted that she’d fought with Abby and Victoria. Phyllis said she was fighting for what was hers. He added that she’d moved on to Sally. Phyllis insisted that she was protecting the people she loved. He believed she was drawn to conflict and that she was restless if she wasn’t focusing on a nemesis. He asked if this was actually about Summer or if she was picking a fight out of boredom. She was offended and said she’d worked her butt off her entire life. “Don’t you know that I would love to be bored? I would love to relax?” she snapped. If she created an escape club fantasy for herself, it would be to stare at four blank walls. He apologized and asked if he was in the fantasy anywhere. She said she’d bring him in at the end. Her instincts told her about Sally, and she was sure everyone would thank her when that psycho man-eater was out of town.

At Society, Lauren chatted with Summer about California, then she said she got an enthusiastic email from Bill Spencer about the meeting. Lauren noticed that Summer looked preoccupied. Summer blamed jet lag, and Lauren suggested she work from home for the rest of the day. Summer said she was okay. Lauren mentioned that Phyllis called and wanted to meet. She asked if Summer knew what was going on. Summer assumed it was about Sally. Lauren asked why. Summer said she’d clashed with Sally. In addition, Phyllis wasn’t keen on Sally’s friendship with Jack, not that it was any of her business. Summer said to take whatever Phyllis said with a grain of salt, because Summer could take care of Sally, and she was sure Jack could, too. Lauren said Sally couldn’t seem to catch a break. She asked if things were okay with Sally and Summer at work. Summer said if Lauren heard of any issues, it wouldn’t be because of something that Summer did. As Summer was leaving, Phyllis arrived for her talk with Lauren. Phyllis privately told Summer she found something out, but she wouldn’t go into detail, because she wanted Summer to have plausible deniability. Summer asked if it was enough to send Sally packing, and when Phyllis said no, Summer asked why Phyllis didn’t just leave it alone. Phyllis grumbled that Nick would say she couldn’t help herself.

After Summer was gone, Lauren and Phyllis caught up. Lauren asked about Michael. He was great. Phyllis got to the point of the meeting and said she was pretty sure Sally had some sort of plan going on regarding Jack. Lauren asked how Phyllis knew that. Phyllis admitted she may have seen Sally’s search history. She said Sally ran extensive searches on Jack and the Abbotts. Unfazed, Lauren said she did internet searches on people all the time, especially when she was going to work with them professionally, and she assumed Phyllis did too. Phyllis admitted she did search people, but she said that Sally had done a lot more than casual information gathering. Phyllis said Sally was definitely after Jack, who was too lonely and vulnerable to see it.

Lauren noted that Phyllis was assuming Sally had malicious intent and that Jack wouldn’t be able to see the trouble in front of him. Lauren said Jack had been supportive of Sally’s effort to reinvent herself. She asked if it’d be so horrible for Sally and Jack to be friends or more? They were adults, she noted. Phyllis said Jack was charming and handsome and vulnerable. Lauren was surprised by this sudden concern for Jack. Phyllis said it wasn’t all about Jack. She said her daughter was at risk. She said that Sally had her foot in the door at Fenmore’s, and she was very ambitious. “Who knows how high her ambitions go or what this girl will do to achieve them,” Phyllis ominously wondered.

Summer returned to Jabot’s boardroom and ran into Gloria. She asked about Kyle. Gloria saw him leaving earlier, and he’d seemed out of sorts. Summer called his phone, and she found it in the chair.

Nick ran into Jack at Crimson Lights. He thought Jack should know that he was the subject of Phyllis’s new mission. He explained that Phyllis thought Jack was vulnerable. Jack thought Phyllis needed a hobby, and he said to tell her not to worry about him.

At the penthouse, Chelsea struggled to move. She gave herself a pep talk and leaned forward, but then she saw Adam coming downstairs and she stayed still. He said Meredith had queued up some movies for Chelsea to watch later. He knew she was upset, and he said it was probably because Nick, Victor and Rey all showed up in one day. That was enough to ruin anyone’s mood. He told her that she didn’t have to worry about them or the ludicrous claims about him. She thought to herself that he should have the courage to admit he kissed Sharon. He suggested they revisit the idea of leaving town. She liked the idea of leaving Sharon behind. He said it’d be the perfect opportunity to tell Connor. He was going to run the idea by Dr. Cavett. He said they could live together as a family without interference from anyone, and maybe that would be the thing that helped her make a full recovery. She wondered if he was really going to see Dr. Cavett or if he was going to see Sharon. He promised he wouldn’t be gone long. She said to herself that she didn’t care if he ever came back. She vowed to reunite with her son without Adam and to get him out of her life once and for all.

At Crimson Lights, on the patio, Dr. Cavett told Adam that she couldn’t endorse his plan to move. She didn’t think Chelsea was ready to travel. She thought they should revisit the idea once Chelsea made progress. She said they should give it a few more weeks, then she left. Adam went into the coffeehouse, and he saw Sharon. He respected her decision to step back, and he said she was right – it was better for everyone. He said he was doing the best he could for Chelsea. She didn’t respond, so he started walking away. She blurted out that she saw his intense conversation with Dr. Cavett. She said just because she wasn’t treating Chelsea anymore didn’t mean she didn’t care. He walked back over and filled her in on his talk with the doctor. He thought it’d be best if he put some serious distance between himself and Sharon. He needed that, and he knew she did too. As much as he’d love to leave town and put hundreds of miles between them, he couldn’t right now. He left.

Back at her place, Chelsea made an unsuccessful attempt to stand. Chloe came over. She’d asked Meredith for privacy and made sure Adam wasn’t around, so she and Chelsea were safe to talk. Chloe wanted to know why Chelsea didn’t want Adam to know she could move her hand. Chelsea started crying, and Chloe offered some supportive words. Chloe gave Chelsea a phone to type on, and she shakily wrote “Sharon.” Chloe asked questions, and Chelsea signaled that Sharon hurt her. Chelsea then wrote Adam’s name. Chloe gleaned that Adam and Sharon had done something together. Just as she started putting the pieces together, Adam returned. Chloe plastered a smile on her face, but Adam said it looked like he interrupted something intense. She said they were just having girl time, and they weren’t finished. He said he could take a hint, and he went upstairs.
