Billy and Lily arrived at the hotel, and he said he needed to clear his head because of the news that Newman was trying to acquire the company that ChanceComm was going after. She was concerned he was going to go confront Victor, but he said he wanted to clear his head, not make it explode. She’d planned to talk to Devon, so he suggested she go do that. At that moment, Devon happened to arrive. Billy left. Devon asked Lily to sit so they could talk.

Devon went over Abby and Chance’s fertility problems, and Lily was sympathetic, because she remembered what she went through to have the twins. He said Abby was one of his closest friends, and he loved and cared about her. Abby and Chance were uncomfortable choosing an anonymous donor, so he thought this was his chance to help. Lily knew Devon was coming from a generous place. She’d been in this position, and despite the best of intentions, things could get messy. She’d forever be grateful for Mac doing what she did, but Mac and Cane ended up in court over it. She said things never turned out how you expected them to. He thought that applied to life in general, and he said it wasn’t going to stop him from helping his friends out.

Lily was moved by Devon’s desire to give Abby this miracle – the same miracle he started to experience when Hilary was pregnant then it was taken from him. He did think that he wanted to help Abby and Chance partially because of that loss, but not in the sense of replacing what he didn’t get to have. He remembered how amazing it felt when he was about to be a parent. Lily remembered feeling it too when she was waiting for the twins to be born. He said circumstances were keeping Abby and Chance from having that same feeling, and he wanted to help their losses and setbacks result in a child. He wanted to step up for his best friend and eventually be a favorite uncle. She thought it was an amazing gift he was offering his friends.

At Victoria’s, Billy wanted to know why Victoria had been so vague about Newman trying to acquire Cyaxares. He said even if it was Victor’s idea, he found it hard to believe she didn’t know anything about it. He also wanted to know why she didn’t answer his questions about why Newman would go after a powerhouse Cyaxares after selling off all its media assets. Every time she tried to say something, he asked another question. He asked if she was going to go after ChanceComm and if she was trying to get back at him. She didn’t appreciate him coming here and making accusations when he didn’t have his facts straight.

Victoria said her father proposed the deal, and she wasn’t interested. Billy had assumed that was what happened at first, but then he had second thoughts because she was the CEO, so how could she be so far out of the loop. Billy said he told Victoria this would happen – that Victor would let her make decisions until she did something she didn’t like, then he’d swoop in. Victoria refused to have this conversation. She said she didn’t discuss her internal business decisions. He said he needed to know what was going on. She asked if he was afraid of competition from Newman. He wasn’t – he relished it, and now that he knew that Victor was behind this, it’d make this a little easier. He though it was a shame that she wouldn’t tell Victor that this was her decision to make. He thought things had changed, but he guessed they hadn’t.

Victoria said she made it clear to Victor that she wasn’t happy with his actions. Billy said to tell Victor she was in charge and that she was going to squash the deal with Ashland Locke. She shifted gears and invited him to join her and the kids for ice skating tomorrow. After a brief discussion of the kids, he asked if they could get back to the topic of her stealing this company out from under him. She said she wasn’t discussing it with him anymore, so they could talk about the kids or he could leave. He felt like she was giving him whiplash – inviting him to spend time with the kids then saying she didn’t want him at the house. She said she’d already apologized for the mixed messages, but she didn’t want to talk about that either. He said he’d see her at the rink then, and he asked if he should bring Lily. She said of course.

Billy returned to the hotel just in time to see Lily and Devon saying their goodbyes. After Devon was gone, Billy told Lily about his talk with Victoria. Lily said she didn’t want to get into a bidding war with Newman. Billy agreed that it wasn’t worth it. He assumed Victor wanted to acquire Cyaxares to go after him and ChanceComm. He hoped Victoria would squash the deal. He didn’t think Victoria wanted to go along with Victor’s plan, and he didn’t think she wanted to go after him.

Victor dropped by Adam’s and showed him a picture of the kiss. He saw Chelsea sitting in the living room, so he took Adam into the hall. Adam said it was a momentary lapse, on his part, not on Sharon’s. Victor was aware of Adam’s intense relationship with Sharon. He warned his son to be careful, because it was going to be immensely hard if Chelsea found out. He said he wasn’t judging Adam. Adam said there was nothing going on with him and Sharon, so it wouldn’t happen again. Victor said there were cameras everywhere, and Adam was a Newman, so people wanted to find salacious things about them. Adam said thanks and reiterated that it wouldn’t happen again. Back inside, Chelsea wondered why the need for secrecy. She felt like Adam was reverting to his old self, with the need for Victor’s approval and the allure of Sharon, and all Chelsea could do was watch.

Victor went to Victoria’s. He told her he was proud of her and the job she was doing as CEO. He still thought it would be a good idea to buy Ashland’s company. She wasn’t comfortable with him buying the company as a weapon to destroy Billy. He said Billy was a competitor. She said it wasn’t about business – he wanted to destroy Billy because he was Billy, and she couldn’t play that game. He said she was his daughter – a Newman, and deep down, he knew she believed she could destroy Billy.

Nick was at The Grand Phoenix, and he was trying to calm Faith down over the phone. She was upset, and he told her that was what the person who sent the picture wanted. He promised to make this better. The call ended, and he looked at the picture of Sharon and Adam kissing.

At the cottage, Sharon waited for Rey to come home. When he came in, she asked where he was – she’d called and left messages. He said he’d needed to take some time to calm down before he asked her about the picture. He showed it to her. She said it must’ve been the kids who were bullying Faith, because they sent her the picture, and Faith jumped to conclusions. He asked if she could blame Faith. He asked when and how this happened. She explained that the night she told Adam that she couldn’t treat Chelsea, Adam told Sharon she’d helped him too. She tried to end the conversation and turned to leave, but Adam pulled her close and kissed her. Rey asked if Sharon was saying Adam forced himself on her. She said no – Adam was in an emotional state, and he acted impulsively, which he did when he was agitated. Rey wanted to know why Adam thought that was okay to do, and Sharon said he’d been mixed up and he’d been going through so much. He asked if Adam forced himself on her or if she gave him permission. She said it wasn’t either or – it was an irrational mistake. Incensed, he stormed out. Nick showed up, and Sharon said she didn’t need him piling on after her terrible fight with Rey.

Nick asked Sharon to explain the kiss. She said it was just a fleeting moment. He told her it’d be online forever. She said it was blown out of proportion and taken out of context. She said that the picture was taken by one of Faith’s bullies. She was adamant that they had to find the kids and put an end to this. They agreed to get the school involved. He assured her they’d get through it, but in the meantime, Faith wanted to live with him full time. Sharon was stunned, and she said it wouldn’t help to uproot Faith while she was under so much stress. He said it was just for now – a couple of days or a few weeks. He said Faith was hurt and confused, and she felt like Sharon was choosing Adam over her. Sharon said that wasn’t true. Nick knew that, but Faith didn’t see it that way. According to Nick, Faith was infuriated by Sharon’s continual involvement with Adam, and Nick thought Faith was right. He felt that it was a slap in the face to everyone who loved and supported Sharon this year, especially Rey and Faith.

Sharon said she wasn’t having an affair with Adam, and she felt terrible that Faith was hurt by this one stupid moment that she regretted. Nick admitted he had no room to judge, with his track record. She thanked him for that. He suggested she avoid situations where this could happen again. She said that’s what she and Adam were talking about. He still felt that Faith should stay with him to give her a chance to calm down. She wanted to do what was best for their daughter, and as much as it hurt, if Faith wanted to leave, she’d accept it. She noted that the photo was taken at Society, and she wondered if Lola could help them figure out who did it. She thought Faith seemed scared that if they forced the school to find and punish the bullies they’d retaliate. She said they also had to figure out if Faith was drinking as a reaction to being bullied or if it was a bigger problem. He said that the therapist and Nikki could help with that. He added that if Faith stayed with him, it’d give Rey and Sharon some time to work things out. He hoped Adam hadn’t done irreparable damage. He left. Sharon looked at an old picture of herself with Faith.

Adam read to Chelsea, who wasn’t listening, because she was desperate to know what Victor showed him on his phone and what he was hiding now. There was banging on the penthouse door, and Adam opened it. Rey barged in and told Adam to stay away from his wife. Adam said Sharon already told him he couldn’t work with Chelsea. Rey pulled out his phone and shoved it at Adam, screaming about this happening at his sister’s restaurant. Meanwhile, Chelsea wondered what everyone was showing Adam. Rey threatened to arrest Adam. Adam suggested Rey calm down before he abused his authority. Rey railed about Adam continually coming into his and Sharon’s lives. He said Adam wasn’t going to stop until someone made him. Adam asked if that was a threat. Rey knew guys like Adam who thought they could get away with things without consequences. Rey yelled that there were always consequences. Adam told Rey to leave, and he did.

Adam told Chelsea that Sharon and Rey were having problems, and Rey wanted to blame it on him. Chelsea didn’t believe that. She wondered what Adam did. He told he he’d have her caregiver start a bath, and he left the room. Chelsea thought to herself that she didn’t want a bath; she wanted to know what Rey and Victor showed Adam on their phones. He said it must seem strange that Nick showed up the other day, then Rey today. He said they needed a scapegoat to rake over the coals, and there was nothing to worry about. She didn’t buy it. He said he had to run an errand, but he’d be back. He left. She saw the phone sitting nearby, and she willed herself to get it. With great effort, she was able to get the phone and turn it on.

Sharon was alarmed when Adam showed up. He said he wouldn’t have come if Rey’s car was in the driveway. He asked if he could come in, and she allowed it. He told her about his encounter with Rey. He was there to check on her to see if she was okay. She said she wasn’t, thanks to him. She asked why he kissed her in a public place where Rey’s sister worked. He said it just happened. She knew that, and she’d told Rey and Nick that. He was annoyed Nick was involved, since it was none of his business. He was sorry, but he couldn’t get the kiss out of his mind. She asked him to leave and not to come back. He left.

Nick ran into Rey at the Society bar. Nick mentioned he talked with Sharon. Rey complained that it was another interaction Sharon probably wouldn’t tell him about. “Am I gonna find a picture of it online in a few days?,” he said, seething. Nick said he was just trying to keep the damage to a minimum. Rey wasn’t happy that Nick had gone to his house and talked to his wife about their problems. Nick noted that his daughter lived in that house, and he’d do whatever it took to protect her, including letting her stay with him for awhile, while Sharon and Rey worked things out. Rey was annoyed that another one of Sharon’s exes was interfering. He was sick of seeing a Newman every time he turned around. “Why the hell won’t you all just leave us alone?,” he snarled. Nick said he was on Rey’s side, and Adam was the enemy.

Nick commiserated with Rey, because he’d been in Rey’s shoes – mad and hurt over something Adam did. Rey apologized for going off on Nick. He explained he needed to lash out at someone. Nick understood. Rey didn’t understand how Adam and Rey were brothers. Nick said Adam’s special gift was wreaking havoc on other people’s lives, and Rey was caught in the middle. He said Sharon had a huge heart, and Adam loved taking advantage. Rey said Sharon knew how he felt about it, and she could choose to walk away, but she hadn’t. Nick said Sharon loved Rey, and he shouldn’t give up on her. Sharon texted Rey that she loved him and asked him to come home.

Sharon was at home. She saw Rey starting to text something back, but he erased whatever he’d typed.

Chelsea turned the screen on the phone and saw the picture. A tear rolled down her cheek. Adam came back, and she put the phone down without him seeing her. He told her he rushed home to see her because he worried about her. He tried to assure her that it was okay.
