At Jabot, Summer told Kyle that she was going to be canceling her meeting because she had plans with Phyllis. He called her lucky, and she said was lucky to have him in her life, even if they couldn’t lock the door and pretend they were snowed in. he said they’d made the best out of a challenging situation. She felt that they were good at that. He wanted her to stay and hang out. She couldn’t cancel on Phyllis, but she promised to make it up to him later. After she left, Sally walked in and told Kyle she got a promotion. Kyle heard already. He congratulated her. Theo burst in and told Kyle to show more enthusiasm for Sally. Kyle was unhappy to see Theo.

Theo was in the U.S. to buy things for the boutiques. Kyle thought it almost sounded like Theo was taking the opportunity Jack handed him seriously. Theo said he was, out of respect for Jack and Dina. It turned out he had a knack for retail. Theo announced that he ran into someone from Kyle’s past while he was in NY. Kyle wasn’t interested in playing Theo’s games anymore. Theo revealed he met Tara Locke. Kyle froze, and Sally said it was clear Kyle recognized the name. Theo said he didn’t realize how serious things got between Tara and Kyle – about as serious as things could get, considering that she and Kyle had a child. Sally asked Kyle if he slept with a woman then walked away when she got pregnant. He said no. She realized he didn’t know the woman got pregnant. Kyle accused Sally and Theo of cooking something up. He said even if it were true, which it wasn’t, Tara wouldn’t have confided in Theo. Theo said he happened to run into Tara, and she never mentioned Kyle, but then she introduced him to little Harrison. Theo noted that it’d been three years since Kyle saw Tara. Three years, plus nine months. “He has your dimples,” Theo said of Harrison. He wondered what Tara’s husband and Summer would think.

Sally congratulated Kyle on his little boy. Kyle said even if Tara had a kid, it wasn’t his – he and Tara were careful. Theo noted that Tara was still married, and Ashland was as ruthless as ever. Kyle said Ashland was the father, not him. He accused Theo of trying to screw with him. Theo said Kyle had been such a smug jackass before Theo left town, refusing to acknowledge they were family. Theo said that now Kyle had a rugrat grenade set to go off. Theo was pleased that Kyle knew he wasn’t untouchable. He had to go back to Paris, and he said he’d leave Kyle’s happiness in Sally’s hands. Theo left. Kyle hoped Sally wasn’t gullible enough to believe any of that. Sally said she hoped, for his sake and for Summer’s that it wasn’t true. However, if it was true, she didn’t want to blow up his life. She said that this was her saying they could peacefully coexist.

Nick was surprised to hear that Victoria apologized to Phyllis. He thought it was great and long-overdue. Phyllis thanked Nick for making it happen. He asked if she’d come to the Newman get together with him. He said it’d be so much more bearable if she came. Phyllis had plans with Summer. When Summer arrived, Nick suggested that Summer needed some of his sage advice. Summer surmised that Nick had plans with Victor that he was trying to get out of. Phyllis confirmed it. Nick asked Summer to come with him, but she declined, because she’d been looking forward to hanging with Phyllis all day. Nick left. Phyllis hoped Victor realized Nick was a good son. Phyllis and Summer didn’t want to deal with the Newman family drama. Summer was glad her life and Kyle’s had less drama. She said they were happy with where things were right now – they felt solid and were going with the flow. Phyllis was glad to hear it. Phyllis suggested they have cocktails, and Summer could tell her all about Cindy. Summer clarified it was Sally.

Billy was at Crimson Lights with Johnny. Katie was with a friend. Billy said Lily would be there any minute. Johnny liked her. Billy was glad, because he liked Lily too. He was about to say more when Victoria walked in and said this was a nice surprise. Billy said they weren’t expecting Victoria. Victoria knew, but she thought it was great that they ran into each other. Her smile faded when Johnny announced that they were waiting for Lily. Billy said he and Lily discussed it, and they had something important to tell Johnny. Victoria thought she and Billy agreed to wait. Billy sent Johnny to order some hot chocolate.

Victoria said she thought they were on the same page about not having people bouncing in and out of the kids’ lives. Billy explained that after his talk with Victoria, he realized he was sure about Lily. He wanted to be honest with the kids. She thought it seemed sudden. He said she helped him become clear about it. Lily wasn’t going anywhere, and he wanted Johnny to know she occupied a special place in Billy’s world. Victoria asked if it had to happen now. Billy saw no reason to wait. Lily walked in, and Victoria left. Lily thought it would confuse Johnny to hear their news right after Victoria left. Billy agreed.

Lily played I spy with Johnny. Johnny abruptly asked if she was Billy’s girlfriend. Billy said yes, but that didn’t mean that he wasn’t going to spend time with just Johnny and Katie. Lily promised that she’d never take away from Billy and Johnny’s special family time. Johnny asked if that meant Billy and Victoria weren’t getting back together. Lily made up an excuse to leave the table. Billy said he and Victoria would always be there for the kids, and she was the best mom in the world. Even though he and Victoria didn’t live together, they were happy for each other. Adults had to make tough decisions sometimes, and you hoped they were best for everyone, but you could never be sure. He said Lily and Victoria got along, and all three of the adults agreed that the kids came first. He added that now, he and the kids got to hang out with Lily too. Lily returned and showed Johnny a puppy video.

Victor went to Victoria’s office to see her, but Nikki said she left early. He assumed Victoria was dealing with the kids before she came to the dinner. They discussed the tension between Nick and Victoria. She thought it was a positive first step that the entire family was meeting for dinner tonight. He noted that it wouldn’t be the entire family. She asked him not to make tonight about Adam. He said Adam was his son, and his fiancee had a devastating stroke. He wondered why he was the only one worried about that. Nikki said they were all very concerned for Chelsea, but Victor couldn’t pretend this crisis would erase everything Adam did. She noted that his other children had their own challenges. He knew. He said that Nick was worried about Faith’s drinking, and so was he. She said Abby and Chance were devastated because they desperately wanted children. She brought up Victoria. He said there was nothing wrong with Victoria. She told him that Victoria was lonely, and Billy… He asked if Billy was preying on Victoria’s emotions again. She told him Victoria was wondering why things turned out the way they did. Nikki wanted to focus on the family coming together. Victor said it wasn’t the whole family without Adam.

Nick and Victoria met Nikki and Victor at Society. Victor noted that they were late. Victoria said she’d been dealing with the kids. Nick said he’d been trying to convince Phyllis to attend. Victor was happy that she declined. Victoria asked if Nick was serious. He thought it’d be okay since Victoria and Phyllis seemed to be getting along. It meant a lot to him that Victoria apologized. Victor told Nikki that he’d predicted their kids would work things out. Nick asked if Victor was taking credit for it. Nikki thought Victor was just pleased. Victor said they were adults with their own families and problems, but he was still their father, and he’d look out for the interest of his whole family. Victor stepped away to take a call, and Victoria and Nick quietly agreed that they weren’t interested in this night becoming about Adam. Abby showed up and announced she had life-altering news to share.

Abby shared parts of her pregnancy saga off screen and finished up with announcing that she and Chance were going to have a baby. Nick was so sorry, because he didn’t know about any of this. Abby said Victor had been great, and he set them up with some specialists. She said Mariah would be her surrogate. Victoria assumed Chance and Abby would be the biological parents. Abby explained that Chance couldn’t father a child right now because of the shooting and the infection. Nikki was sympathetic. Abby said she was fine, despite the roller coaster. Victoria knew what that was like. Abby said Chance was out of town as an agent one final time, but they weren’t going to postpone their plans to have a child. She said it’d be a new grandchild and cousin for this family, and for the Chancellors and Abbotts.

Victoria was happy for Abby. Nikki thought she’d make a wonderful mother. Victoria noted that Abby had been put through the wringer. Abby said there had been heartbreaking moments, and this was the beginning of the journey. Victoria knew what it was like to deal with obstacle after obstacle. Abby thanked everyone for the love and support. Victoria was glad Abby faced her fears and looked for answers instead of waiting for something to happen and being disappointed again and again. Nick was mind-blown about Mariah agreeing to be the surrogate. Abby was sure it’d be an amazing baby. Victor was proud of Abby’s strength and resilience. They toasted Abby.

Nikki and Victor talked after their children left. They thought it went well. She said Abby’s news brought them all together. He asked if she could imagine if they’d had to go through all that to have a child. She said there weren’t as many options back then. She’d never regretted having their children. He said having her and their children was the greatest joy. She agreed. She was also happy that he didn’t confront Victoria about Billy. He admitted that was hard for him to keep inside. She said she did it because he loved her. He hoped their children found the magic he’d found with Nikki.

When Victoria got home, Billy was there. Johnny was with Hannah. Victoria wanted to know about the talk with Johnny. He said they’d decided not to tell him, because Lily thought it’d confuse him after Victoria showed up, and Billy agreed. Victoria thought that was the wise decision. Billy continued that Johnny asked them about it out of nowhere. He said he rolled with it and told Johnny the truth. Billy sai Johnny seemed to be bumping up against it a little, but but he thought Johnny would be fine.

Summer said she took Phyllis’s advice about Sally, and Sally backed off. Summer wasn’t sure what Sally would do in the future, though. Phyllis told Summer that she was Summer Newman and Phyllis’s daughter. Phyllis said Summer was in the position of power, and she shouldn’t overreact. Phyllis noted that things were going well, for Summer, and she told her not to let that wannabe Sabrina Spectra ruin that. Summer loved that she and Phyllis could just talk open and honestly like this. Summer said Phyllis knew exactly what she needed to hear about Sally. She thought Nick was amazing, but sometimes he didn’t get it. Kyle rushed in, and he was shaken up. Summer urged him to confide in her. He said it was about Sally, and this wasn’t the time. Summer told him that it was okay to talk in front of Phyllis, because she knew all about Sally, but he wanted to talk in private, so Phyllis left.

Summer asked what Sally did now. Kyle said she found out something about him. There was something he needed to say. Something he should’ve told her a long time ago, but this could seriously mess things up for his family. She said he was scaring her. He said he could lose everything, including her. She assured him he could tell her. He was about to say something when he saw Nick walk in. He decided they should go somewhere private, because he couldn’t risk anyone hearing this. Summer said bye to her parents, and she and Kyle left.

Nick asked Phyllis what was going on. She wished she knew.

Sally called Theo and thanked him so much for this gift. She gave him kudos for getting the better of Kyle. She said she was protected from anything Summer and Kyle might try and use against her.
