Sally burst into the boardroom when she overheard Jack asking Summer to elaborate on her eye opening L.A. experience. She pretended she interrupted by accident and apologized. Jack said it was fine and that Summer was just updating him on her trip to L.A. Summer was glad Sally was there since she met up with Wyatt, Bill and Flo, and they had a lot to say about Sally. Sally asked what they said, and Summer said they sent their regards. Jack got a weather alert – the ice storm was getting worse. He decided to take his work home, and he suggested they do the same. He left. Sally wanted to hear more about the trip. Summer said that Wyatt and Flo’s reviews of Sally weren’t so glowing. Kyle walked in and asked what was going on. Summer said Sally was wondering how Summer was going to use the information they discovered about her in L.A. Sally said she didn’t know what Summer heard. Summer was sure that Sally could take a pretty good guess. “Okay, so you found out what I did, and I can’t do anything about that. But all I want to do is figure out how we can work together,” Sally said. Sally conceded that she screwed up when she just got to town, but it was because she was upset she didn’t get a chance to pitch herself for the JCV job because Summer had it. She apologized and said she hoped they could put it in the past and have a fresh start.

Summer agreed. She said she didn’t like gossip, and the past could stay in the past. Sally wanted to hear exactly what Summer heard. Summer asked if it mattered. She said as long as no one was trying to screw anyone else over, they could let sleeping dogs lie. Kyle cosigned. He didn’t want anything coming out that could damage Jabot or Fenmore’s reputation. Sally said she couldn’t agree more. Summer said that if Sally was ever feeling under the weather, she knew some great doctors who could provide a second opinion.

Sally thanked Summer and Kyle for their understanding and swore they wouldn’t regret it. She said Summer could come to her if she needed help at JCV. Lauren texted Sally, so she left. Summer asked Kyle to make sure Sally was really gone and not just hiding behind a plant in the hallway. She was really gone. He asked how much of that apology Summer bought. Summer only believed the part about Sally being mad she wasn’t handed JCV. Everything else was bull, she said. He agreed, and he thought Summer handled it perfectly. She thanked him for backing her. She said she wouldn’t have to constantly look over her shoulder, now that she had Sally trapped like the rat she was. He said rats lashed out when cornered – Sally might be more of a threat now.

Kyle returned to the Jabot boardroom and told Summer that his meeting went well. Summer was working on a marketing report, and if she didn’t finish soon, she’d be trapped at the office. He waited for her to finish, and by the time she did, the storm had gotten so bad that it wasn’t safe to drive. She said he should’ve left without her. He didn’t want her to be stuck by herself. She turned flirtatious when she realized that they were the only ones in the building.

Gloria showed up at Jack’s, and she said it was because she felt bad that she didn’t offer her condolences on Dina’s passing when she ran into him the other day. He couldn’t help but think there was another reason she’d braved the elements to come here. She said she’d missed her family and friends in Genoa City, and he qualified as both. He asked what she was really up to. She changed the subject and admired the décor until he told her he had brought work home to do. She had fond memories of working with him at Jabot. She was very proud of everything she accomplished. He asked if that included the tainted face cream. She thought that was old news, and she felt she’d proven her loyalty the last time she worked at Jabot. “And if I were to return to Jabot – just if – I’d be even more loyal. No matter what position I was assigned” she said. She had so many great ideas about the future of cosmetics. He said there was nothing for her at Jabot right now, but he’d be on the look out for jobs at other places that would suit her. She said he knew how much she had to offer, then she left.

At Society, Lauren apologized for making Sally come out in this weather. Sally said it was actually kind of fun, because L.A. didn’t have this kind of weather. Lauren wondered how Sally would feel in a couple of years. Sally would be glad, if it meant she’d still be here in a couple years. Lauren was sure Sally would be sticking around. Lauren wanted Sally to work on the promotional partnership that Summer arranged between JCV and Wyatt and Bill Spencer. Sally wasn’t sure she was the right one for the job.

Lauren asked why Sally didn’t want to work with the Spencers. Sally said she didn’t mind working with them, and she’d be professional, but Wyatt might have a problem with her. She reminded Lauren that she said she made mistakes in L.A. Wyatt was one of them. They were seriously involved, and it didn’t end well. Sally said she did some things wrong, but it was all out of love. Lauren asked how wrong. Sally didn’t want to share details, but it was bad enough that Bill Spencer blew up her building with her inside. Lauren was shocked. Sally didn’t want to pin all the problems on that, because she made some mistakes she deeply regretted. It was hard not to be ashamed especially when you were trying to start a new life. Lauren thought Sally should focus on the future and not the past. She said they’d work out who did what on this project at a later date.

Gloria arrived at Society and said hello to her daughter in law. Lauren was going to introduce her to Sally, but Gloria said Jack already did that. Lauren had a delivery for Jack, but she didn’t want Sally to go back to Jabot in this weather. Gloria said Jack was at home – she’d gone by to give her condolences. She said Jack was a dear friend and she was protective of him. Sally left. Gloria said she missed spending time with Lauren, and she wanted to bond. Gloria wanted to work at Fenmore’s. Lauren said not at this time, but she’d keep her eyes open all over town for the perfect position. Gloria asked if Jack and Lauren rehearsed that.

Sally went to Jack’s place with whatever Lauren sent him. They chatted about the ice storm, and he gave her tea. She wondered when the weather would clear up. He said she should relax, because she’d be there for awhile.

Nick and Nikki were at Sharon’s cottage. She noted that he looked tired. He said there was a lot going on at New Hope. She was concerned about him and Faith. She’d seen him turning into Sharon’s driveway when Sharon wasn’t home, and she assumed he was there because of Faith. He said Faith got out early because of the ice storm, and she asked Nick to bring her home so she could do school work. He thought it’d be awhile before Faith felt comfortable opening up about her outburst at Society. Nikki decided to go work her grandma magic and get Faith to confide in her.

Nikki returned and reported Faith was sweet and apologetic about her outburst, but she shut down when Nikki attempted to press further. Nick wished he had a better handle on what was going on with her. When Faith told him she was being bullied, he contacted the school, but he knew they couldn’t control what was on the internet. He wondered if that was why she was drinking. Nikki thought Nick and Sharon were right to be proactive. He needed a chance to talk to Sharon without Faith walking in, but he didn’t want to leave Faith alone. He Nikki if she could stay, and she said yes. She said Faith would always know she was loved.

Elena went to Devon’s to drop off a package for him that someone sent to the clinic. He let her in, and she said it was so different being here after all this time. He said not much had changed except for him and her. He was sorry she felt the need to come all this way to drop off the envelope. She was happy to do it. He wanted to open the package, and she grabbed the letter opener from its spot without thinking, then she apologized since it was no longer her house. He didn’t mind. She asked if they could be friends or similar some day. He’d thought about it too, and he didn’t think that was out of the question. She extended a hand, and they shook it, agreeing that they were friends. She was about to leave, when he got a winter storm warning on his phone, and he told her that she should stay until it cleared up.

Elena asked when Moses would move in, and Devon said soon. She thought he’d have his hands full with a teenage boy. He imagined he’d say a lot of the things Neil said to him growing up. According to Devon, Moses was a good kid. He thought his little brother was probably more excited about being mentored by Nate. Elena was sure he was also excited about living with his brother. She thought that Moses was lucky to have Devon and Nate – both strong, caring men. He asked if he could ask her a question, and she said of course. He asked if there was more to what happened in the clinic than just her and Nate coming down from saving Jared. Did she have feelings for Nate before? She looked uncomfortable. She wasn’t sure how to answer. He just wanted honesty. It was something that had been bothering him. Elena didn’t see what difference it made. He didn’t meant o make her uncomfortable. It was just something he’d been wondering about, and he thought he was owed an answer. She decided to go, and she left. She returned later and said her car wouldn’t start.

Sharon texted Rey, so he came to Crimson Lights on his break. She told him that he was probably not going to like what she had to say, and he assumed it was about Adam. She explained that Adam wanted her to treat Chelsea. He asked why it had to be Sharon. Sharon admitted everything Rey was saying was true – treating Chelsea would put her back in Adam’s orbit. He knew she was still considering it, and she said that was for Chelsea’s sake, not Adam’s. He noted that she and Chelsea had a long and ugly history. She told him Adam thought that Chelsea’s resentment of Sharon could motivate her to recover faster. “Alright, so let me get this straight – Adam gets to torture his fiancee by bringing you along as her therapist,” Rey said. He thought that sounded like a good deal for Adam and a lousy one for Sharon and Chelsea. Sharon had read cases where this kind of provocation worked, and Chelsea reacted when Sharon brought those books over. Chelsea also blinked her approval of the idea. Sharon wasn’t going to make a decision until Rey weighed in. He thought she should stay out of it - there were other therapists who could treat Chelsea with no baggage attached, but it was her decision.

Sharon said she knew it was her call, but she appreciated him allowing her to make it. Rey said it wasn’t his place to allow her to do anything – they were partners. He trusted her, but he’d always be worried when it came to anything Adam was involved with, particularly when it came to Sharon. She understood, and she didn’t disagree with his point of view, but if there was even the slight chance that this could help Chelsea recover… Nick walked in and asked if it was a bad time. Rey said no. He had to go back to work anyway, and he said they could continue the talk tonight. He asked her to close early because the storm was getting bad.

After Rey left, Nick said it seemed like he walked into an intense conversation. He asked if she wanted to talk about it, and she said no. he said if it had nothing to do with Faith, it was none of his business. She explained that she didn’t want to tell him because it had to do with his least favorite person in the world. He said if it involved Adam, then it was his business.

Sharon told Nick everything, and he thought that was a big ask, even for Adam. She said that was why she hadn’t made any decisions yet. He asked why she’d want more dram after the year she had, especially with Faith struggling. She said Faith came first, of course. He mentioned Faith was quiet when he brought her home, and Sharon said she was quiet before school too. Sharon didn’t like the changes they were seeing in their sweet bubbly little girl. He said mood swings were common at this age – Noah and Summer went through them. Sharon said she’d still feel better after Faith saw a therapist. Nick said therapy wouldn’t fix everything, and Sharon said it was a start. He didn’t think they should rush. She asked if he’d changed his mind about Faith going to therapy.

Nick wasn’t anti-therapy, but after Faith’s outburst, he thought they should consider the timeline. Sharon thought that was all the more reason for Faith to be in therapy. He thought that if they gave Faith some space, she might stop acting out. Sharon wasn’t willing to take the risk – therapy wasn’t punishment, it was a way for her to talk confidentially to an objective person. She thought Faith would see that once she got started. He said that they should compromise – they’d talk to the therapist first and move forward once they found someone they liked. She thanked him. He said since she was the expert, he’d let her pick the therapist. Mariah came in, and Nick left.

Mariah asked what that was about. Sharon said that this was the place where a more cynical mom would say “whatever you do, don’t ever have kids.” Sharon laughed, and Mariah didn’t. Sharon asked if Mariah was thinking of getting pregnant. Mariah told Sharon all about her being asked to be a surrogate. Mariah wasn’t sure what she wanted to do. Sharon asked if Mariah spoke to Tessa, and Mariah said yes. Sharon asked what about Mariah’s job. She hadn’t talked to Kyle or Jack, but millions of pregnant women went to work every day, and Abby was an Abbott, so she was sure they’d be supportive. Sharon told Mariah to ask herself how she’d feel about carrying a child that she wouldn’t raise.

Mariah said the baby wouldn’t be hers – it was Chance’s sperm and Abby’s egg. She’d be happy to be known as wacky aunt Mariah. As someone who’d been pregnant, Sharon knew it wasn’t that simple. The bond you formed with the child you were carrying was indescribable. Sharon wasn’t telling Mariah not to do this, but she wanted her to take everything into account, including her own heart. Mariah honestly didn’t think it’d be a problem for her.
