Sharon and Rey were home after the honeymoon. She enjoyed the silence, which was strange after Miami. She said his family was full of love and laughter, and she enjoyed them too. He suggested they continue the honeymoon upstairs, but before they could go, Mariah came in with a welcome home banner and balloons. She was surprised they beat her there. They took an early flight. Mariah asked if they’d leave so she could finish setting up the surprise, but they didn’t think that was necessary. Nick and Faith came in, and they brought food. While everyone else was outside getting the groceries, Sharon asked Nick if he was planning to take Faith back to school after brunch. He said Faith wanted to take the day off, and he didn’t have a problem with that.

Everyone was back inside. Sharon said Celeste threw a feast, and everyone came over. They were all excited to meet Sharon’s kids too. Sharon asked how things were going. Everyone was fine. Faith had spent time bonding with Nick and Christian. Mariah loved her job at Jabot. Rey got called into work. He thanked everyone for the great welcome home, and then he left. Mariah also left for work. Faith decided to go do homework. Faith said she missed Sharon like crazy. Nick faked offense and said he didn’t know hanging out with him was a chore. Faith loved being with him and being a big sister, but… He knew he was second fiddle. She went upstairs. Nick could tell Sharon wasn’t happy he let Faith take the day off. She didn’t think they should get into the habit of letting Faith skip school. He said next time he’d run it by Sharon first. Sharon asked if Nick noticed how Faith was acting. He thought she was just glad to see Sharon. Sharon said Faith was overcompensating. It reminded her of the baristas who’d hang on her every word when they were angling for a raise. He just thought Faith missed Sharon. Sharon sensed something happened while she was away that Nick wasn’t telling her. He said nothing happened. She wondered why Faith was acting suspicious. He didn’t know. He said Faith wasn’t a little girl – she was a teen, who was learning to keep secrets. She wondered if he meant the drinking, and she asked if Faith drank again. He said no - he kept a close eye on Faith, while Sharon was gone. Faith was coming downstairs and she overheard Nick say that Jordan was with Faith the two times Faith was drinking. Sharon asked if Faith told him. He said Phyllis saw them together. He didn’t want to accuse Jordan of anything, but Jordan was older, and it maybe she was was peer pressuring Faith. Sharon just sensed Faith was keeping something from them. She wanted to think they’d raised her to make good choices and that the drinking was experimental, but they couldn’t just assume that and hope for the best.

Sharon said Faith had a lot of upheavals, and Sharon’s illness upended her life. Nick said Faith loved Rey, but the marriage was a big change for her too. He said Faith was doing well at school. Sharon wondered if Faith was still bothered by the article. According to Sharon, Mariah said Faith was the maddest she’d ever seen her when Adam came into Crimson Lights. Sharon thought they should get Faith a therapist. Nick was worried Faith would see it as a sign they thought she was a failure. He said maybe they could have Faith talk to Nikki about drinking. Sharon said that was no replacement for an experienced therapist, and if Faith wouldn’t open up to them, what made them think she’d she’d confide in her grandmother? He was worried Faith wouldn’t want to go. She said it was their job to make Faith see this was best, just like when she was little and didn’t want to eat vegetables. She said it was up to them to get Faith to talk about what was going on before she made a choice that lead to something serious. He knew she was talking about Cassie. “I can’t lose another child, Nick” Sharon said. On the staircase, Faith didn’t look happy. Downstairs, Sharon said they’d find a compassionate and understanding person to talk to Faith. Nick wanted Faith to get all the help she needed, so if Sharon thought therapy was necessary, he was on board.

Nick told Sharon she had a honeymoon glow and it was working for her. She asked how things were with him and Phyllis. He said they were solid. Sharon thought Nick and Phyllis were a great couple. He said they were having a good conversation without her asking about Chelsea or Adam. She said he broke the streak. She asked how Chelsea was. He didn’t know. She thought Adam must be a wreck. Nick didn’t care. He was just concerned for Chelsea and Connor. He hoped Sharon wasn’t worried about Adam. He said she and Rey had been through a lot. She said he didn’t have to remind her how he felt about Adam. They said goodbye, and he left. Sharon called Faith downstairs. Faith had finished her homework and she was planning to go to Crimson Lights with friends. Sharon was headed there too, so she could give Faith a ride. “Great,” Faith sarcastically muttered once Sharon was out of earshot.

At Crimson Lights, Jordan greeted Sharon, then she and Faith talked quietly, while Sharon was behind the counter. Jordan and Faith were disappointed they had parental supervision. Faith said she’d assumed Sharon would spend the day unwinding after her trip, not going straight back to work. Jordan remarked that Sharon was doing that parental thing where they pretend not to watch you, even though they are. Faith said her parents were freaking out about her drinking, so things had to change. Jordan asked if that meant no fun or partying. “Hell no,” Faith replied. It meant they had to be a lot more careful, she said.

On the jet ride home, Billy wanted to celebrate buying AskMDNow. Lily couldn’t believe they did it. He said she did it. He wanted to talk about them. He said she hadn’t looked him in the eye after he told her what happened with Summer. Lily knew Summer was a consenting adult, but Billy had used his girlfriend’s daughter. He deeply regretted it. He was grateful Summer moved past it, but he was worried Lily wouldn’t be able to. She said she knew about his past going into this, and she got that she should accept what happened in the past, because he changed. She knew it was hypocritical coming from her, who’d made extinction level mistakes, but this was just… He picked up where she trailed off and admitted there was no way to justify his actions, but he wanted her to have the facts. He said Sharon and Nick were just about to get married. He’d just proposed to Phyllis, then Sharon announced at the wedding that Nick slept with Phyllis. Billy felt betrayed and he wanted to hurt everyone around him – Phyllis for cheating on him, himself for trusting, and he just wanted revenge. He didn’t think about the consequences. Lily said Billy didn’t think of the repercussions for Summer.

Lily thought this explained why Billy went to the prison to tell her he caught Cane and Victoria kissing. Billy said he felt Lily had a right to know. She didn’t think that was the only reason. She thought he felt Victoria betrayed him, just like Phyllis, and he didn’t consider whether the information would help Lily. Lily said she was stuck in prison, thinking Cane was her rock, and then she found out her marriage was built on sand. She said he did the same thing when he ran the Adam article without thinking of how it would effect the victims. She said his pattern was that he got hurt, and he wanted to hurt others without considering the fallout. He never looked at it like that. He said it was easy to attack someone else for causing damage, but it was harder to acknowledge it in himself.

Billy admitted what he did was inexcusable. He used Summer to hurt Phyllis, and he could’ve irreparably damaged Summer and Phyllis’s relationship. He was glad Summer and Phyllis moved past it. He was relieved he got to talk with Summer and she forgave him. It was a low point in his life, and he felt ashamed and disgusted. He was scared that no matter how often he said he changed, Lily wouldn’t trust him and that she’d rethink things between them.

Lily knew Billy was remorseful, and she knew what it was like to be tormented by mistakes you’d made. She thought he meant it when he said he was glad she overheard his conversation with Summer because he wanted Lily to know everything about him. She thought that was honest and brave, which were two qualities she was looking for in a partner. She knew he’d changed. He asked what happened now.

Lily didn’t want Billy to feel judged or guarded with her. She wanted him to be passionate, but the recklessness had to stop. He said he’d work on it. She asked what he’d change about her. He said she was perfect. He made a sarcastic joke, and she said the sarcastic one liners and self-deprecation had to stop, because she saw it as a shield he was using because he was tormented by the things he’d done in his past. He said if he didn't do it, it’d be a friend or relative who was looking to watch him backslide. She said that was because others could only see who he used to be, and she knew it was hard not to live down to their expectations. She said she gave him the hard truth, now she wanted it back.

Billy loved that Lily was organized, but sometimes she needed to let go of the plan and be more spontaneous. He also thought she took better care of others than she did of herself, and he felt that sometimes she had to be selfish and put herself first. “And do you have to be right all the time?,” he asked. He said if it’d kill her to pretend she couldn’t see right through him. He was trying to be mysterious. She said from now on he was a puzzle wrapped in a riddle. He said she also had an annoying habit of bringing out the best in him. It’d been a long time since anyone had done that. He didn’t want to disappoint her. He said if they worked on those things they could turn ChanceComm into a powerhouse and level up their relationship. He thought they should take some personal time and celebrate their accomplishments, since they'd have to work once the plane landed. She said to let the celebration begin.

At the penthouse, Devon made Amanda coffee. She said she kept replaying Naya calling her a mistake. What kind of human looked their child in the eye and said that? She told him how Naya never got to hold the babies, and Rose could only afford to keep one baby, since the family only gave her one lump sum of money. He thought it sounded like Naya didn’t get much of a choice. She said Naya could’ve fought, but she just let it happen and didn’t look back. She said she had to break the news to Naya that Hilary passed away. Amanda said that although she was sure that Naya didn’t give them a second thought, it looked like her heart broke when she found out Hilary was dead. That look kind of broke Amanda’s heart too.

It was cathartic for Amanda to tell Naya what she’d robbed her and Hilary of. Amanda thought that when she got to meet her birth mother, she’d brag about herself and how phenomenal she was, but in the end, she just talked about what a star Hilary was. Amanda said Naya said she was sorry, and Amanda believed her. But then Naya’s real daughter barged in and Naya went back to her life. Devon asked if she was satisfied with one visit. She said she had to be. He wasn’t sure that Amanda could just go back to her life. He was sure that this meeting impacted Naya as much as it did Amanda. He thought it seemed clear – Naya was a pregnant college student and her family made the choice for her. Amanda said Naya was relieved the choice was made for her, she had no regrets and she got her happily ever after. As painful as it was to hear, Amanda admired Naya’s honesty. He asked what happened with Imani. Amanda was sure Naya was doing damage control. He asked if she’d given thought to what was next for her and Naya. She said there was no chance she’d have a relationship with Naya. He thought Naya might come around. He said when he found out Tucker was his dad, he completely shut him out and wanted nothing to do with him. The way Devon saw it, he already had a dad – Neil. When Devon found out Katherine hid the truth about Tucker, he cut Katherine out too. Amanda was surprised. Eventually, Devon got over it and he was glad he did, because she ended up being one of the most important people in his life. Not because of the money bought because of the things she taught him. She asked how he and Tucker found common ground. He said they bonded over their love of music, and Tucker found a specialist who restored Devon’s hearing. He wanted her to remember things could change dramatically, and blood ran deep.

Amanda didn’t want to get her hopes up. She’d made the mistake of having high expectations before. He understood. He said when you didn’t have family, you created fantasies of what you wanted things to be like. He did that with Tucker – it was nice having Tucker in his life, but he had to accept that Tucker was not reliable. He said Tucker disappeared on him when he needed his help during the confusion with Katherine’s will. She asked what the dream father would be for him. He said he didn’t have to do that because he already had Neil. She asked what he wanted from Tucker. Devon wanted Tucker to be there when he needed him, but he knew what Tucker was capable of, and he didn’t ask for anything more than that. He asked what she wanted from Naya. She didn't know. He asked what she wanted when she was a little kid. She started to cry. She’d wanted unconditional love from a mom. Hilary had it with Rose, Imani had it with Naya, but Amanda never had it. She wiped her tears and said it didn’t matter anymore because she got answers. Now she wanted a distraction.

Devon made Amanda an omelet, and she loved it. She wanted the recipe for when she got a kitchen, and he said never. She told him Lily and Billy got stuck in a snowstorm. Devon had reservations about that. On one hand he was happy his sister was getting back out there, but on the other hand – it was Billy. He would like to think Billy evolved, but he knew the old Billy. Amanda said Billy was a handful. She understood Devon, but she could see that Billy had really changed. She said Lily was smart and tougher than Devon was giving her credit for.

Devon and Amanda went to the hotel. She told him that he’d helped her a lot. A courier came in and served Amanda with legal papers.
