Chelsea catches a glimpse of Adam’s phone before he leaves for the office—a text from Victor wishing him luck. At the same time, Marisa tries to prevent Luca from leaving their suite. Marisa distrusts Adam and fears for Luca’s safety.

Billy and Victoria dine at Top of the Tower and talk about their busy lives. Victoria has her hands full with Natalie, the petulant hacker. Noah arrives and smothers Billy with attention. Victoria takes notice.

Faith goes home with Sharon and Sully. She wishes she lived with them and not her dad and Sage. It’s sad at their apartment because Sage is sick. Sharon promises to have a talk with Nick.

At the Tower bar, Nick is caught off guard when Sandy kisses him. He says he loves his wife. It was a mistake, and Sandy is sorry. She assures him that Sage’s problem is not his fault. He’s unable to pick up a call from Sage, who tangles with the orderly when he catches her using the phone in Dr. Anderson’s office. She manages to leave a message that she made an odd discovery. Sandy praises Nick for being a devoted husband and all-around good guy. He’s called away by Sharon.

Adam’s goal is to root out the Santoris while Victor is away. The plan is foolproof, so Chelsea needn’t worry. But she does. Is it possible Luca is working a con on Adam instead? He scoffs.

Billy remembers something: Noah came to the hospital but didn’t come into Billy’s room. Why not? Grandpa Victor stopped him. While Billy takes a call, Victoria advises Noah to let go of his anger toward Victor. Is she nuts? Noah can’t ignore Victor’s kidnapping Marisa. Victoria reminds him of Billy’s troubles when he tried to match Victor. It nearly got him killed. Not according to Noah.

Marisa goes to Chelsea’s, desperate to find Luca and stop the deal. Is it a setup, as she suspects? Chelsea plays it cool. If were, would that be so bad? Marisa obviously loves Noah, not Luca.

Billy was focused on saving Jabot, is what Noah means. And that was because Victor nearly destroyed the Abbotts’ family company. Still, Victoria defends her old man. He was protecting his family, including Adam.

Sage is locked in her room. She begs the orderly to let her call Nick. When he refuses, she becomes aggressive and he sedates her.

Sharon invites Nick in and explains Faith’s dilemma. Nick is upset. Sharon shouldn’t have told Faith about Sage’s illness. Sharon defends herself. Someone had to. Recovery will take time. It’s not as though Sage is going to come home tomorrow and be A-OK. Nick bites his tongue. Faith comes downstairs and sits next to her dad on the sofa. He’s not mad, or sad, about her choice and permits her to stay with Sharon, Dylan, and Sully temporarily.

Dr. Anderson returns to the hospital and learns of Sage’s unauthorized phone call. The orderly doesn’t think it went through.

Adam and Luca meet in Victor’s office with dossiers on their fathers. Adam presents his to the FBI agent first then Luca. They agree it feels good, and then Adam drops the bomb. The agent was a poser. Luca just incriminated his own father. His choice is to take the Newmans’ deal, which is to nullify the Santoris’ agreement with Newman Enterprises and leave the country, or send his dad up the river and probably follow him.

Noah isn’t convinced of Victor’s virtue. Billy returns to the table and has a memory flash of the parking garage. He becomes unsteady and sits to collect himself.

Before Nick leave’s Sharon’s, he retrieves Sage’s message in which he hears sounds of a struggle. He proceeds to the hospital. Dr. Anderson at first discourages him from visiting but relents.

Noah and Victoria fawn over Billy. Victoria hopes the hit-run driver is caught soon. Marisa rounds the corner, sees Noah, and tries to catch his eye. Victoria points him in her direction and wonders aloud about Noah’s strange behavior. Billy is distracted by yet another memory flash. This time he sees a pair of men’s shoes. The wearer gets into a vehicle. He tells Victoria of his breakthrough. Across the room, Marisa scolds Noah. What did he say to Billy and Victoria?

Sage tells Nick about the collection of books in Dr. Anderson’s office. They’re old volumes about living with paralysis and contain copious notes. In the corridor, Dr. Anderson is pleased that the orderly filed a report about Sage’s attack on her.

Adam wants to play ball? OK. Luca intends to reveal that Noah was the driver who hit Billy. Chelsea enters the office.
