At the athletic club, Jill fails to get Billy on the phone. She’s worried but shouldn’t be. Colin spots Billy at the bar with a drink in front of him.

Nikki and Victoria pull together a last-minute party for the family at Top of the Tower. Victoria doesn’t expect Victor to attend, and neither should Nikki.

Luca suspects Victor is trying to squeeze him and Marisa out of Newman Enterprises by giving them the night off, but it was Noah’s doing. They deserve time to celebrate.

Lily wraps gifts in her office. Cane appears. He offers to spend the night at home—for the kids’ sake. Sure. Lily will take what she can get.

At the club, Devon makes arrangements to jet off to Miami for Christmas.

Neil and Hilary meet outside the lab. He can’t allow her be Dr. Neville’s guinea pig, but she’s determined. It’s the right thing to do, for Neil and for humanity. Hilary is more concerned about Gwen, who clearly has set her cap for Neil. Inside the lab, Ashley can’t take the bickering between the doctor and Gwen. Dr. Neville notices her wince in pain.

Since Victor probably won’t show, Victoria is free to invite Billy to the party. Victoria hesitates. Billy is a loose cannon. She and Nikki long for a good old-fashioned, trouble-free Christmas.

Marisa and Luca accept Noah’s grand gesture and leave. Victor applauds Noah’s tactics. In the lobby, Luca and Marisa receive a photo of their daughter, Eva. Noah finds them fawning over it. Luca’s attempt to rub Noah’s nose in it backfires when Noah accidentally knocks the phone to the floor, losing the photo. Luca accuses him of doing it purposely.

Gwen approaches Neil for his signature on some purchase orders. My but she’s a hard worker. She and Hilary taunt each other until Neil puts a stop to it.

At the club, Lily begs Devon to stick around. She needs him. Things aren’t going well with Cane. It doesn’t sound that way to Devon. Cane has agreed to spend the night.

Jill can relax. Billy enjoys a glass of water, nothing stronger. She’s also pleased to hear about the peace summit with Jack at the cabin and hopes it means Billy’s return to Jabot. Not so fast, Billy says.

Noah apologizes but Luca raises his voice. Victor emerges from his office and fires not Luca but Noah. Everyone is stunned. Luca changes course and defends Noah, thus sparing his job. Inside the office, Victor thanks Noah for the opportunity to set a trap for Luca. Bravo. Noah breathes a sigh of relief. Is Victor ready to party on the roof? No, but Noah should go ahead.

Jill urges Billy to go to Victoria immediately and make amends with her. Back at the table, Colin also counsels his son in matters of the heart. Things sound promising with Lily.

Lily doesn’t expect Cane’s forgiveness. Devon thinks she should. And what about Devon? Can he forgive Hilary for choosing Neil?

Ashley is nervous. Hilary was Dr. Neville’s only test subject. He allows that his success with Hilary could have been a fluke, which isn’t good enough for Ashley. She’s willing to work through the night.

Luca walks Marisa to her suite door. She praises him for helping Noah. He did it for her; he knows she still cares for Noah. If he’s learned anything from recent events it’s to follow one’s heart. Marisa does and pulls him in for a kiss. Inside the suite, they lose control.

Jill overhears Cane and Colin and is giddy with hope. After Cane leaves, Colin proposes a toast to long shots. Who would have guessed that theirs would be the only stable marriage in the family?

Nikki and Victoria got so caught up in nostalgia that they didn’t notice they’re missing a punch bowl. Victoria goes to the club to borrow one.

James the security guard at Newman is surprised that Victor isn’t at the party. Victor commends James for his service to Newman, particularly during the fire. He can expect a healthy bonus.

In the club foyer, Hilary thanks Neil for watching her back with Dr. Neville; he thanks her for doing likewise with Gwen. She broaches the subject of Christmas. He politely turns down her invitation to spend it with her. He’s due at Lily’s.

Noah is the first guest. He tells Nikki what she already suspects: that Victor won’t be there.

Jill ambushes Victoria at the club and pushes her to invite Billy—her family—to the Newman party. Victoria bristles and tells Jill to drop the subject, but Jill persists. Jack forgave Billy. Why can’t Victoria? Obviously she still loves him, but sometimes love isn’t enough. What else is there? Jill asks.

Billy enters Victor’s office, searching for Victoria. Victor taunts him about being fired from the family company by his own brother, and Billy can forget about reconciling with Victoria.

If that’s the way Ashley wants to play it, the doctor has a compound he’d like to test right now, on himself. He removes a beaker of green fluid from the cooler. She grabs it from him and takes the first sip. She detects notes of coriander and juniper. It’s gin, and mighty tasty gin at that. While they imbibe, someone watches through the window.

At home, Cane and Lily arrange gifts under the tree. Lily has high hopes for the two of them; Cane, only for the children.

Devon’s plane is grounded. He’s stuck at the club, but that doesn’t mean the staff has to be. He enters the dining room and sees Hilary alone at a table.

Victor has a lot of nerve calling Billy a loser. Look who’s sitting at his desk on Christmas Eve.
