Time To Move:
At the ranch, Brittany and Bobby shared a nice romantic moment, discussing possible names for their unborn child. Brittany then explained her desire to move back into the motel so they could be alone together, even if it wasn't best. Bobby was reluctant, but agreed to think it over.
The Lesser Evil:
At the Abbott Estate, Victor swore to John that he had merely prevented Nick from buying Jabot's debt and foreclosing, but that he had no intention of taking the company away from the Abbott's. John was reluctant to believe him, and pointed out that - even if it was true - at least with Jack's plan they would still have a company. Victor pointed out that if Jack was ever fired, or if Kay ever sold CI, Jabot could be taken from the Abbott's. John said that, regardless, he was going with Jack's plan, since the board had voted. Victor left to confront Nikki about the vote.
Doubts:
Alone with Jack and John, Brad pointed out that Victor brought up a valid point and that Jack's plan was not foolproof. John worried that he'd done the wrong thing, while Brad accused Jack of rushing them into a decision by acting on half-truths and scare tactics. Regardless, all realized they were now committed to a new path... dangerous as it may seem.
Going To Extremes:
At the Chancellor Estate, Jill accused Kay of wanting to block Jack's plan only because it would prevent Jill from achieving success of her own. Kay admitted she didn't want her friends (John, Nikki and Brad) to suffer, but said Jill's success was no concern of hers. She compared Jack's actions to those of Elliot Hampton, and insisted she would not let him use her company's funds for personal gain. After Esther announced she was leaving for the night, and Kay made it clear she would stop Jack, Jill handcuffed her to the bedpost and said she wasn't going anywhere, and no one would be there to release her. Jill said Kay had left her no choice, took the phone, and left. Kay, handcuffed, screamed to be released.
At Odds:
At the ranch, Victor lamented the fact that he'd never have the chance to prove to the Abbott's that he could have saved Jabot. Nikki suggested it was for the best, since now they could have their dream life. Brittany interrupted them to head into town, then they got back to their conversation. Victor told Nikki he couldn't stay away from the corporate world. She told him he was selfish and that he'd had his whole life to be happy... now it was her turn to get some happiness. She asked if he liked her - not loved - liked. He told her she was being foolish, but she said that she needed more than a love that declared itself once a year. She walked upstairs, leaving Victor flabbergasted.
Disappointment:
At The Athletic Club, Frederick and Anita prepared to meet with Brittany, hoping she was coming to say she and Bobby had gotten a divorce. Instead, Brittany arrived and announced her pregnancy, at which point Anita let it slip that unplanned pregnancies were difficult. Brittany, realizing they hadn't wanted her, burst into tears and said she never should have gone to them for support. They insisted she was over-reacting, but she rushed out on them... devastated.
Time For Friends:
Back at the ranch, Nikki went looking for Victor, but found Bobby instead. She told him Brittany had gone into town, then - with tears in her eyes - asked if he had a few moments for her.
Olivia's Denial:
Malcolm and Drucilla demanded answers from Olivia, who insisted she had not signed for the paternity results, regardless of what the courier claimed. It didn't take Dru long to suspect that Phyllis was somehow involved. Olivia was stunned to learn that Phyllis knew about the test, while Malcolm and Dru insisted on finding the redhead. Dru said she knew exactly where to look.
Phyllis' Advice:
At Memorial, Phyllis was leaving when she ran into Lily, on her way in to see Neil with the collage she'd made him. She asked Phyllis if they could talk, and told her that Daniel had suggested a meeting since Phyllis had known Malcolm so well years before. Lily wasted no time saying that she suspected something was up with Dru and Malcolm, then asked Phyllis if they were having an affair. Phyllis said she was the wrong person for Lily to talk to, but insisted she believed she was worrying about nothing. As Lily went in to meet with Neil, Dru and Malcolm intercepted Phyllis.
Scandalous:
Dru and Malcolm each chastised Phyllis for involving herself in such a delicate and private family matter. Malcolm was unbelievably disappointed, but spent most of his time playing referee as Dru threatened to make Phyllis pay - physically - for causing trouble. As Malcolm angrily demanded Phyllis hand over the envelope, Phyllis was stunned to discover that it was missing from her jacket pocket.
In Lily's Hands:
In Neil's room, the nurse finished checking him over, then found the paternity results on the floor and put it with his other mail. Lily entered his room and gave him the collage. They shared some special Father/Daughter time, telling one another how much they loved each other. As Lily was preparing to leave, she asked Neil why he had so much mail. He said most were get-well cards, but Lily picked up the test results, told him the envelope was sealed, and asked if she should open it.
