One Life to Live Update Friday 1/26/01

Nora is telling Max that she is getting to Collin and the next time that they meet, he is going to give her what she wants. Max is warning her that she is putting herself in grave danger by flirting with Colin repeatedly. He could be a nut. She is starting to lose her faith in Max as he didn't help her out earlier and he lost his beeper. She feels that she is getting so close to the truth and yet it is never realized. They discuss Max talking with Skye. Nora thinks that it is ludicrous that Max insists on talking with Skye after the way that he has treated her. She wouldn't give him the time of day. He doesn't think that she was the one that was betrayed. He knows that love and betrayal are a dangerous mix. He is speaking of personal experience. One of the two women that he cares for shot him in the back.

Lindsay spills the beans that Nora is trying to set Colin up for a downfall. She has found Max's beeper and she is waving it in Colin's face to get him to understand that Nora is not playing it straight with Colin. Nora is using Colin to get to Lindsay. This makes Lindsay very uncomfortable with the depths that Nora is willing to go to in order to catch Lindsay at her games.

John tells Rae that he used Skye to trap Todd. Rae immediately panics. Was she hurt? Is she okay? This is her daughter and she wants nothing to go wrong causing her to be hurt while helping the police. She was never in danger, not even for a moment. John assures Rae that Skye was a force to be reckoned with. Skye is pretty quick on her feet and was able to rattle Todd's chains pretty well. Todd has an Achilles heel and that is jealousy. This could be very helpful information for John in his investigation. Skye did all the right things and she is as smart as her mother is. John doesn't hate her as much as he used to and Rae is glad about that. She will always be Skye's mother; she just can't let Skye know that she is her mother. She is not giving up on Skye. Rae would like to get Skye through this and forge some type of relationship when this is over. John wants to help Rae as much as Rae wants to help Skye. John offers to help Rae any way that he can to get her together with her daughter. She wants to have a chance to get to know Skye.

Todd and Blair are playing a game on Skye. They sit near her in a restaurant and pretend like they are on the breaking point. Blair tells him that she is going to go to the police and tell the truth. Skye grabs Blair's arm and demands that Blair tells her the truth of whatever little secret she has to tell. Blair and Todd set themselves up so that Skye will ask the inevitable questions of Rae's involvement in all this. Blair and Todd tell Skye that Rae shot Max. Starr saw it all. She was supposed to be at her friend's house, but she came back home to get a toy. They didn't want to drag Starr through all this. She said that she saw the spiky haired lady and she is the one that let her rot in jail all this time. Just then John and Rae enter the room and all turn to face her.

Bo and Melanie are discussing how her father used to take her to football games. She always smiles when she talks of her father. She tells him that he shouldn't have come over to see her. He got the sense that she had something that was causing her pain. He felt that he had to find her, because he needs her and he is not going to leave without her. He wants to know everything about her. He is a cop and he makes a living at making people talk. He loves her and he trusts her so he is going to have to let her tell him when she is ready. The building security comes and tells them that they have to leave. Bo shows the guard that his badge and tells the guard that he is holding Melanie on a 422. The security guard buys it and leaves them alone. When asked what a 422 is, Bo takes her in his arms and kisses her.

Max leaves Nora's house and the phone begins to ring. She walks over to the phone and lets the answering machine pick up. It is Colin; he wants to let her know what a great time he had that night. This is the beginning for them. Whatever he does, he will be thinking of her. Nora starts hugging herself. She is feeling creepy.

Roseanne and Colin happen to be in the same bar at the same time. He tries to buy her drink and she tells him that she is not friends with him. He remarks that they could be friends.
