General Hospital Update Thursday 7/26/18

Alexis gets out of the elevator at GH. She was on the phone and says she just arrived and is about to deliver the news. Julian sees her and says hi. Julian just heard about the kick ass woman’s club that she put together for Kiki. Alexis thinks they should be very proud of Kiki. Alexis has to get going. She is here under urgent business. It is good news for once though.

Jordan tells Chase that Nelle is unpredictable. Chase knows ho to handle her. Jordan thinks the scheme he has cooked up is risky. They need to not leave anything up to chance with this.

Michael tells Nelle at GH, that Kim said that she will see Nelle next time. He is wondering if next time will be in the delivery room. Nelle cannot believe that next time will be in the delivery room. Nelle asks if it feels as good for him to say it as it does her to think it.

Franco tells Kevin in his office that he asked Drew and he said yes. Elizabeth walks in and asks what Elizabeth is doing here. Elizabeth is dropping off patient files. She wonders what his excuse is. Kevin isn’t there. Franco is practicing being in session. Kevin said it was fine to do while he was away. Elizabeth says that Kevin called from the airport. He is back.

Kevin walks into Sonny’s living room. He wants Kevin to have a seat. Kevin will stand. Sonny thinks this might be a while. Sonny wonders how Spencer is doing. Kevin thinks well. Sonny imagines misses Laura. She has been gone a while Carly has been gone a while and he misses her a lot too. He thinks it is time that they bring Carly home. It is time they have a conversation on how that can happen.

Mary Pat asks Carly if it is nice to get out of that stuffy room and get some air. She thinks that Carly’s skin does get cracked. She knows she has a big appointment today. She will want to look her best.

Julian wonders if she cares to share the good news. He guesses it doesn’t have to do with him. Alexis sees Brad and asks if Lucas is free. She has good news. Brad tells her that Lucas will be in surgery for hours. Brad wonders if the birth mother pulled out. Alexis wonders if he wants to talk in private. Alexis tells him that the baby is here. Alexis congratulates him, he and Lucas are parents. Julian hugs him. He and Lucas are father’s.

Franco thought that Kevin was going to be gone until next week. Elizabeth guesses that something came up with one of his patients. Franco assumes him. Elizabeth wonders why it would be him. Franco thinks that it often is. Elizabeth thinks that he has been fine lately. Elizabeth thought that Franco had a thing to do. Franco realizes he does.

Jordan listens to the recording of Nelle demanding that Chase kill Michael. Jordan thinks that is enough to bring Nelle in. Chase doesn’t think it is enough to convict her. The moment she walks through those doors, she is going to shut down. Nelle is cunning. She will know that she has enough room. She thinks she has Michael right where she wants him. Jordan thinks that Nelle already got rid of Carly and went after Sonny. Jordan thinks this is their only chance.

Kevin was under the impression that Carly was in a good place when he left. Jason doesn’t think that there is anything good about the people at Ferncliff. Kevin knows that Carly played them all. She used her suffering as a way to escape. Kevin knows Carly was never mentally ill. Sonny thinks that is why they need to get her out. Kevin isn’t sure that will be possible now.

Ava runs into Michael and Nelle at GH. She is glad to see that the other night had no lasting harm. Nelle says they got married here at GH. Ava guesses they must be satisfied. Ava wonders how Carly is doing. Michael tells her that she is not allowed visitors. Michael gets a text from Chase. He wants to meet in the park. Nelle will see him later. Michael kisses her and leaves. Nelle needs Ava to do her a favor. She needs her not to bring up Michael anymore. It is clear she is not getting the help she needs and she probably won’t be coming home ever.

Mary Pat wonders if Carly is excited. Doctor Lasaris has quite the afternoon in store. Carly says Kevin’s name. Mary Pat says he is not available. Mary Pat had a long talk with the director. They both agreed he is not getting through to her. Mary Pat thinks her treatment is long overdue. She will not be able to hurt anyone soon enough. Carly touches her hands. She looks up and sees Nelle. She asks if Carly wants to play.

Brad thought the baby wasn’t due until August second. Alexis explains that babies are not known for keeping a schedule. Alexis promises that everything is fine with the birth contract. Julian wonders if it is a boy or a girl. Brad doesn’t want to know before Lucas. Alexis thinks that might be an issue because the baby is going to be here in twenty minutes. Brad guesses she should tell him. Alexis congratulates him. He has a son. Alexis is going to go meet with the birth mother’s lawyer. He is going to be taking his son home.

Michael sneaks into the park. Chase asks where Nelle is. Michael says she is catching up with Ava. Chase asks if Michael is ready to go. He needs to make sure he is not having second thoughts. Michael knows that Nelle is using the child as a weapon. They need to put the plan into action right now. Chase will pull the trigger.

Ava is having lunch with Griffin so she needs to make this snappy. Nelle thinks this is her giving notice. She will not be back from Maternity leave. Ava asks if she is going to stay at home to raise the baby. Nelle is going to have her own money. Things will be going in both their favors. Nelle gets a text from Chase to come to the park. Nelle thinks that Ava made herself an accomplice the moment she stole the blanket. She couldn’t have done this without her. Like it or not they are in this together. Nelle leaves.

Kevin explains that Carly’s release was on the horizon. He almost had the judge convinced that Carly was ready to return to society. Even if he could convince him that it was a momentary break, it doesn’t change the fact that she assaulted a nurse. Sonny thinks the nurse is fine and back to work. It took Diane to a court order just to see Carly for give minutes. They cannot even see her at all. Kevin knows that Mary Pat being involved is less than idea. Sonny needs to be able to see Carly to make sure she knows she is not alone. Sonny needs Kevin to be there. He has never failed his family. He cannot fail them now.

Carly sits in the wheelchair at Ferncliff. Nelle claims to have come to keep her company. She wants to protect Carly. Carly says no. Mary Pat tells Franco that this will be his work place. He shouldn’t expect much though. Franco should be fine. He has dealt with some pretty complicated cases.

Brad was always the cynical one. He found the courage to finally be able to invest. The nursery is tasteful and not over the top. They had it waiting for weeks. Their son can sleep there tonight. Alexis says that there is someone here who wants to meet Brad. A nurse wheels in a baby.

Nelle shows up in the park and asks if he did what she wanted. Chase explains that he rigged Michael’s car to crash. When the odometer reaches fifteen miles, the car will fail. If there is any suspicion they cannot be together. Nelle will get Michael in a car and then she will send Michael far enough away that all their problems will be solved.

Michael walks into the living room at the Quartermaine house. He asks Ava why she wanted to see him. Ava thought it was time they had a proper conversation about herself, Carly, and Nelle. She wants to further create peace between their families. Michael finds it funny how peace is achieved after his mother was committed. Michael asks what she wants. Ava says that Carly accused Nelle for being behind all her troubles. Carly also accused someone else and she thinks it is obvious that it was about her.

Sonny shows up at the PCPD. Jordan assumes this is about Carly. She knows that Diane just petitioned the judge to overrule the director. Sonny knows he turned her down. Sonny doesn’t think she needs treatment. She is stuck in the snake pit with no one to help her.

Carly tells Nelle to go away. Nelle thinks by the time she is released, she will be old and toothless. Carly knows that Sonny and Jason are going to get her out. Nelle doubts anyone is coming. Franco shows up and says her name.

Chase reminds Nelle that Michael’s car will only drive safely for fifteen miles. After that, the steering wheel will lock and the brakes will fail. Nelle realized this is actually happening. Chase asks if she is absolutely sure if this is happening. Nelle knows that Michael plans to take her baby away. She is sure she wants to do this. Michael has to die.

Ava thinks whatever exists between Nelle and Carly has nothing to do with her. Michael wonders why she hired Nelle at the gallery. Ava wants their children to be friends. Michael thinks Carly is the one who she should be worried about. Ava thinks she has a long road ahead of her. Michael wonders if she thinks so.

Elizabeth says hi to Jason at GH. Elizabeth heard that Jake enjoyed spending time with him and Drew. Jason thinks that Jake makes things easy. Elizabeth thinks that maybe one day he can get along with Franco. Jason walks over to Kevin. He asks if there is any news on Carly. Kevin thinks there may be additional issues.

Franco wonders why Carly is here. He thinks this is crazy. He is sorry he said that. Nelle is standing behind Franco in Carly’s mind. She thinks it is getting crowded. Franco admits that he never wanted to come back here, but someone paid with grant money. Carly says Franco’s name. She asks if Nelle is here. Franco looks behind him. Carly sees and hears her. Franco asks if she wants to Mary Pat. She seems nice. Carly says that she keeps giving her drugs. Nelle says more drugs are coming either way. Franco thinks if she wants to express her feelings in a safe way that is what art is for. Carly begs him to let her out of here.

Julian records Brad with the baby. Brad introduces himself. He cannot believe that the baby is actually here. They were waiting for him. When he gets out of surgery, Lucas is going to be surprised and jealous. This will be filled with feedings and six AM feedings. Julian promises that he will always have family. Julian wonders if the birth certificate is coming. Alexis explains that comes when the adoption is finalized. Brad guesses that means once the birth mother decides not to take the baby back. Julian wonders what the chances of that are. Alexis has handled many adoption cases. It is very rare for the mother to change her mind. Julian wants to make sure their bases are prepared. Alexis asks if they have a name. Brad says that if it was a girl, the babies name would be Cher like Lucas’s mother. With a boy, they struggled. Then it hit them. Wiley. They knew he would be worth it, all the while. Julian welcomes Wiley to the world. Alexis asks if the car seat is in the car. Brad says all set. Brad asks if Julian wants to hold the baby.

Carly shouldn’t be in here. Nelle thinks the judge disagrees. Carly needs to get home. Franco cannot help her. Carly thinks her new doctor is going to do something bad to her. She begs him to tell Sonny and Jason to break her out. Mary Pat wonders if there is a problem. Franco says there is. Carly asked for an off-red shade of colored pencil, and he didn’t bring one. Mary Pat needs a word with Franco. Franco says sure. Mary Pat needs Franco to be careful. These patients are violent by nature. Franco knows Carly. She doesn’t seem to be herself. Mary Pat thinks she is better than when she got here. Soon she will be right as right. Nelle tells Carly that she got herself into this. Carly screams at Nelle to stay away from her. Mary Pat thinks that Franco’s class is over. Mary Pat told Carly not to move without permission.

Jordan explains that Carly is out of her reach at Ferncliff. Carly’s only going to get out if Nelle tells the truth. Chase says that it will happen tonight.

Ava asks why Michael thinks that Carly is going to be free sooner than later. Michael just has intuition. Nelle walks in and thought that Ava was having lunch with Griffin. Ava explains he had to cancel. The trials of dating a doctor. Ava wanted to deliver her final paycheck. It is lovely that Nelle wants to devote all her time to family. Ava will get out of her hair. Michael wonders where she went. Nelle says that Chase made a final plea for her. He knows that she meant every word of her vows, till death do them part.

In his office, Kevin explain that the director put a different person in charge of Carly. He revised a controversial technique. He has devised a new kind of electroconvulsive therapy. He has already scheduled Carly for her first treatment.

Carly doesn’t belong here. Mary Pat says she will feel better once they get her into her first treatment.

Jason asks why this is scheduled. Kevin guesses it is happening sometime today. This is usually reserved for people beyond all other hope.

Mary Pat Promises that soon Carly will have a brand new out look on life. Her life will be so much better. Carly hears a patient say SOS. Carly says wait. Mary Pat says to come along.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he doesn’t think he can do anything to help those poor souls at Ferncliff. Jason overhears this.

Julian holds the baby. Brad just texted a picture to him. Brad needs to take his son home. Julian wants Wiley to know that he has a grandfather that will always love him. Alexis tells Brad that she will be in touch. She congratulates him. Alexis closes the door. Julian looks at the picture. He wonders when he will get to hold Wiley again. Alexis suggests if he keeps doing what he is doing then he might get to see his son all the time.

Michael wonders if they are missing anything. Nelle says they are missing lollipops that Epiphany recommended. Michael can pick some up tomorrow. Nelle might go into labor tonight. Nelle says that the only store is in Sawyer and that is twenty minutes away.

Chase says the plan is going into fruition right now. There is a camera that is recording in real time. She will get out shortly before it goes off. The rest is off to Michael.

Michael asks if she has seen his keys. Nelle hands them to him. Nelle asks if he could drop her off at the hospital first. There is a lactation specialist she wants to talk with. Michael says it is in the opposite direction. Michael guesses he cannot deny her anything. They leave together.
