General Hospital Update Friday 7/21/17

Ava sits on her couch with a trashcan on the coffee table. She says goodbye to each piece of makeup she owns as she throws it out. Ava finally gets up and throws out the rest. She says see them never. She picks up a martini saying so long her friends. They had a good run. Ava needs more than paint to cover her new face.

In Carly’s living room, Bobbie wonders if there has been any progress in the search for Spencer. Carly has not heard anything. Bobbie assumes that Laura must be beside herself. Nikolas gone and now his only son gone. Carly thinks that missing and gone are two different things. She is sure that Dante and Nathan spent all night trying to find him. Bobbie asks if Carly has seen Laura. Carly saw her when she came by to ask Sonny to use his connections to find Spencer. Carly notes that Spencer is Sonny’s nephew so of course he will do what he can. Bobbie knows that Sonny has been trying really hard to sever those connections. Carly feels that this is different. The most important thing is to bring Spencer home.

In Sam’s mind, Sonny informs her that he knows he has made things difficult for her. Sam agrees that he has. Sonny believes that he only wants what is best for her and her family. Sam feels that it is just what works best for Sonny. Sonny admits that Jason gets results. Sam claims that she does as well. Jason walks in. He wonders who she is talking to. Sonny smiles.

Sonny tells Laura that he knows she is terrified and probably not sleeping or eating. He has been there before. He really needs to take care of herself otherwise she will not be good to Spencer. Laura thinks they have to find Spencer first and Valentin is not talking. Sonny isn’t shocked. Laura wonders if his men have found anything.

Nina is at the docks on the phone. She knows that there are fees taking out all her money. She is more interested in the short term. She wonders if they are going to help her withdraw this money or is she going to have to do her banking somewhere else. She thanks them and says that she will be on her way.

Valentin can stay here as long as they need him to. Nathan informs him it will only be a few more minutes because he will be going to the state prison to await trial. Valentin asks if that is supposed to scare him. Nathan informs him that the life expectancy for people who do things to kids is not high. He demands to know what he did to Spencer.

Ava holds her mask and gets on the phone. She asks if they deliver. She thinks that is fantastic. She would like to order some vodka. Russian. She wants to know if there is any other kind. She wants a case. She is having a party and needs it soon so please be quick about it.

Jason swore that she was talking to someone. Sam was talking to herself. She was talking into the phone. There is an app where you talk into it and you are in the babies room when you are not actually there. She knows it is stupid. Jason thinks it sounds cool not stupid. Jason doesn’t have anything going on today. Jason asks how she is feeling. Sam believes she is feeling better. She was even considering telling doctor Bench that she doesn’t need to come in. She knows how Jason feels about this though. Jason understands how she feels about this. They have to figure out what is wrong with her. This is nothing they cannot handle. Sam sees Sonny watching them.

Bobbie asks if Carly has heard anything from Sonny. Carly has heard nothing. Bobbie points out that it doesn’t mean they haven’t found Spencer. Carly thinks that it does. If there were a lead then they would have heard something. Joss is drowning in guilt. Bobbie doesn’t understand why. Carly says it happened on her watch. Bobbie forgot he was taken at camp. Carly feels that Joss over thinks everything. Bobbie loves raising a teenager. Carly knows that Joss thinks of herself as an adult. Drinking and hanging out with boys. Bobbie assumes that she is still with the one named Oscar. Carly confirms she is. Carly notes that Oscar is now a lifeguard at Lila’s kids so she sees him every day. Bobbie remembers summer romances. Carly doesn’t think it is a romance. She asks if it is a romance.

Sonny has people watching the docks. Retracing their steps. Sonny knows that Valentin didn’t do this alone. He doesn’t know many people who would be willing to snatch a kid in his town. Laura thanks him for what he is doing. Sonny promises that he will get him. Laura needs to know when he is going to get him though. Valentin is going to lockup. Laura knows he will make bale. Sonny will get him one way or the other. He doesn’t want her doing anything rash. Laura appreciates him so much.

Valentin has nothing to do with Spencer’s disappearance. Valentin knows the drill for prison. An officer comes in and explains that Valentin’s bail has been posted. Nathan looks at the paperwork. Nathan doesn’t think that is possible. It was off the chart. Nina walks in saying that she posted his bail. Nathan takes his handcuffs off. He better follow the letter of the law while they await trial. Valentin promises. Nina knows that he cannot leave town or break any laws. Nathan leaves. Valentin doesn’t think that she had to do this. His lawyers were on it. Nina is involved. Valentin asks why. Nina wants everyone including him to know she believes in him. That is good enough for her. Valentin guesses she really believes him. Nina does but it doesn’t mean she is coming back to him.

Ava drinks and then someone knocks on the door. She asks who it is. They say it is the vodka. Ava wishes they would leave it outside. The delivery man explains it needs to be signed for. Ava is a little indisposed. She suggests that slip it under the door and she will slip it back. The delivery guy needs to see who is signing. Ava promises she is not underage. They ask if she wants the boos. The guy thought there was a rush. Ava opens the door and says boo.

Carly is not ready for this. Bobbie thinks that this is just a boy. Carly wants to know how she does this all without screwing her up. Virginia was a good mother but she couldn’t handle her. Bobbie isn’t so sure she would have done much better. Carly knows she survived parenting Lucas. Bobbie knows but he was a boy. Carly doesn’t think he didn’t come with his own share of surprises. Bobbie doesn’t think that was her best moment. She was so thrown when he came out. She didn’t know how to react. Bobbie knows that they will get through this.

Sam tells Molly on the phone that she can call her if anything comes up. She can schedule her appointment for anytime. Sam tells Jason that her children come before an appointment. Someone knocks on the door. She asks if he is expecting someone. Sonny is at the door. He wonders if he has a minute. He says hi to Sam. Sam explains that Molly forgot Scout’s blanket. Jason is sure that Molly will be ok without it. Sam will still be right back. Sonny thinks it is good to see Sam again. Sonny wonders if Sam is ok. Jason honestly doesn’t know. Sonny just thinks that there is something wrong. Jason admits that she is going through some medical stuff. Sonny hopes it is nothing serious. Jason doesn’t think so. It requires some tests. He doesn’t want to pressure her though. Sonny thinks that if Sonny told him something like that he would just leave but Spencer is missing. Jason heard that. Valentin was in custody. Sonny says he was but Nina posted his bail. The police don’t have any leads. He thinks the son of a bitch needs to be stopped. Jason wonders if he needs him to stop him. Sam listens from outside.

Carly really wants to be cool. She does. Carly wants Joss to tell her everything because she is her mom. Limits have to be made even though she will hate her. Bobbie wants her to do what she failed to do with Lucas and listen. Always give her a chance. She needs to be her safe place even when she doesn’t want to admit it. Bobbie assumes she doesn’t want her to get pregnant in the next few years. She knows that will not happen because she has her. Bobbie wants her to remember being fourteen. Carly laughs. Joss walks in and Bobbie says hi. Joss wonders if they were just talking about her. She asks if this was about Spencer.

Valentin needs Nina to give him a chance. Nina thinks one day but not today. They both made mistakes. She thinks that everyone is running around and they shouldn’t do that. She suggests he go home and take a shower. Valentin doesn’t think it is much of a home without him. Nathan hands Valentin papers to sign. He is free to go. Valentin runs into Laura.

Sam walks into Ava’s condo looking for Julian. She finds Ava passed out on the couch. She says it is Sam. She tells her to wake up. Sam sees her face. Ava asks what she is doing here. Sam knows she has been drinking. She cleans up a spill that Ava made. Ava doesn’t think that Sam needs to clean up after her. Sam thinks it is fine. Ava asks what she wanted to see Julian about. Ava had a proposal for him. She guesses she will have to take care of things herself. Ava will get her the coffee.

Sonny points out the cops are all over this so there is no way to do this quietly and quickly. Jason is in. The timing could be better but he has it. Sonny reminds him that Spencer is really important to him. Jason will do what he can do. Sonny asks if Sam is going to be alright. Jason feels that Sam will understand. He is looking for a little kid she is related to.

Ava hopes that Sam likes almond milk. That is all Julian stocked. Sam is shocked he hasn’t volunteered to stay with her. Ava is not five. Sam knows but she will need someone to get her vodka because she is all out. Ava tells her she is not. She pulls out another bottle. She wonders if she wants a little in her to go cup. Sam stops her. She assumes she will find Julian in his office. Sam doubts if he cannot be there for her then he will not be there for her. Ava admits she told him to leave. Sam asks about Avery. She knows that she will need a mother. Ava tells her that when Avery looks at her she doesn’t see her mother. She will have to make do with Sonny. Sam says no.

Carly explains that there have been no leads but Sonny and the police are working on it. Joss thinks it has been too long. Carly knows. He will be back to being one of her quirky campers soon enough. Joss wonders what she was talking about then. Carly admits they were talking about her. Bobbie has to go to work. Joss has to get to camp. Carly tells her there is no camp today. So, they can hang out today. Bobbie says goodbye to them. Carly asks presently what is going on with her and this Oscar kid. She asks if this is her boyfriend.

Nathan offers Laura to come with him. Laura wants to know what this is. Valentin has been released. Nathan adds on bail. Nina posted it. Laura reminds her that her grandson has been missing for over twenty-four hours. There has been no communication from any kidnapper. He cannot account for his whereabouts. His best excuse is he didn’t do it. Nina cannot imagine the pain and suffering she is going through. Valentin didn’t kidnap Spencer. Laura knows Valentin. He killed her son and now is going after her grandson. She tells Nina to shut up. She is as guilty as he is. Laura starts crying. She knows he will hire someone to do his dirty work. She runs out. Nina thinks that is horrible. Nathan thinks that Laura is just scared.

Joss explains to Carly that Oscar is not her boyfriend. They are just friends. Carly asks if she wants him to be. Joss doesn’t know him that well. Carly points out they go to school together. Joss tells her that he is new. Carly knows they are working together. Carly cannot stop her from seeing this guy. It bothers her though that he pressured her into drinking. Joss doesn’t think that he made her drink. Carly wonders if she would have had a wine cooler if he hadn’t had one. Joss doesn’t know. Carly feels it sounds like she wanted to impress him. Joss believes that she is judging someone she doesn’t know. That is what Nelle did to her. Carly guesses she cannot make a judgement call about someone she doesn’t know. So, they should change that.

Laura finds Valentin at the docks. Laura will get Spencer to drop the lawsuit. She will even make him leave Port Charles. She just wants her grandson back. Valentin cannot give her what he doesn’t have. Laura asks what if this was Charlotte were missing or he doesn’t know where she was. Valentin would go out of her mind but this is a waste of time. Valentin doesn’t know what she wants him to tell her. Valentin thinks her time would be better off looking for Spencer. Laura admits he has won. He is the heir and Spencer is no threat. She asks why he would be so cruel. Valentin thinks that she is making her point for him. He has no reason to take Spencer. Laura knows he is not sorry for killing her son. She now knows why Helena thought he was the worst Cassadine of them all. She was right. It is because he is smarter than all of them. He doesn’t care about anyone. Valentin doesn’t think that this conversation is helping any of them. Laura tries grabbing him but she pushes him away. Laura knocks him out.

Nina is not spiraling out of control. She is fine. Nathan doesn’t think that whole dance she did was fine. Valentin saw her begging to take him back. Nathan believes that she is making him jump through hoops so he will beg when she does take him back. Nina thinks he is impressed. This Man Landers is rubbing off on him. Nathan is an expert on Nina. She thinks that Valentin will give her the one thing that Sylas and Franco couldn’t give her. Love and devotion and a real family. He cannot do that. Yet somehow, she lets him back in every time. Nina is not some pathetic ignorant teenager. Nathan will always have her back. Nina knows. He is always there to pick up the pieces. Nathan cannot do it anymore. It means if she goes back to Valentin and he breaks her heart again, then she will need to find someone else to pick up the pieces.

Ava is shocked that Sam thinks this way when she is best buds with Carly and Sonny. Sam is not buds with Sonny. Ava asks since when. Sam believes that children should be with their mothers. Sam thought that Ava had to wear the mask. Ava wonders why she should bother. It won’t change anything. Sam doesn’t think she is a monster. Ava has been doing a lot of thinking lately about karma. She has had to pay the price but Sonny hasn’t. She assumes she wants to be around when he does. Sam thinks that Ava can have whatever she wants. She will be clean. She can live her life the way she wants. Sam puts the mask on her.

Joss wonders what is happening here. Carly wants to meet Oscar so she knows who her daughter is spending time with. Joss says no. She asks why. Joss thinks she will embarrass her. Carly thought she was a hip mom. Carly knows they will get through this. She wants her to call and invite Oscar over. She needs to know what Oscar is about. She will not embarrass her that much.

Laura needs her grandson back. Valentin feels if she sees him again it will be behind bars. Jason walks up behind him and starts to choke him.

Sam walks into her house and calls for Jason. She asks if he is here. Sam reads a note saying he will be back in time for the appointment. Sonny in her mind comes back. He asks what she said earlier about who would have Jason. Sam goes into her closet and takes out the gun.

Sonny walks into his house and Carly calls. She is hoping for an update on Spencer. Sonny brought someone else into the search. Jason is on it now.

Jason puts Valentin on the ground. Jason tells her to get out of here right now. She cannot raise that kid from jail. If he has Spencer he will get it out of him. He promises.

Sonny will keep him updated. He promises. He loves him. Sonny gets a text with a picture of Spencer in the basement.
